Q: With the entry fee can i shoot at any distance range? Or do i have to pay to go from pistol to riffle range?
A: The fee is the same for all ranges except 200 yrds, but yes you can start at the rifles and move to pistols with no additional fee also you can stay and shoot as long as you want..
- Claude Kemp (7 years ago)
A: It's one fee. You have to go back inside to change between lanes though. The really far lanes cost additional.

I have visited a few of the outdoor ranges in the Dallas area and this one is my absolute favorite. The office is free from any political BS you see in other ranges, and the gentlemen that work there are all very friendly and professional. It may be a bit of a drive for some, but these guys are fantastic and definitely worth the trip.

This was my first time here. I usually go to another outdoor range, this experience was way more enjoyable from the first moment I walked in the 3 gentlemen in the office were welcoming. I did not feel out of place as you would at other ranges. The process to get a membership was easy and fast. I purchased a new rifle and was talking them about sighting it in and the offered to come outside and spot for me and help make minor adjustments. This is the only range I will ever come to! I can not wait to come back!!!

1st time I've been able to visit since it was bought out a few years ago. The gentlemen that run the place now are genuinely good people. Super friendly and great conversation. I couldn't have asked for a better time.

The new owners are amazing, very nice, professional, and very eager to help unlike the previous owners who were rude and are the reason for the older reviews. I recommend going to this range.

Garbage Anti2A owner and range.

Both staff members were super nice - one helped me boresight my rifle and even assisted with the final zeroing. All my fellow customers were behaving safely. I did not see any of the behavior mentioned in the negative reviews and can only assume they were people who broke the rules and got thrown out. I will gladly return.

I live about 5 minutes from Gipson ΓÇÿs Shooting Range. IΓÇÖve had a membership off and on for several years. They run a safe firing line and you can shoot pistol or rifle at various distances. Cost is about what youΓÇÖd pay everywhere else, except you can shoot as long as you want to. Nice set up for an outdoor range.

Very safe and very friendly owners. If you read a bad review on here, it is from the previous owners which was the son of the original owner. I will be coming back to shoot here. Again, I will say that any of the bad reviews are from the previous owners.

Last time I visited GibsonΓÇÖs I brought a 9mm SBR and a silencer, which both had approved tax stamps to the range. I was disappointed that I couldnΓÇÖt shoot it on any of the pistol lanes like any of the other ranges in DFW would allow. GibsonΓÇÖs only allowed the pistol caliber SBR to be shot benched on the rifle lanes. When the owner spotted my silencer, he actually freaked out and demanded to know if I had that legally and if I had my paperwork, which I did, and then subsequently demanded to see it. Any of the ATF forms such as the 1 and 4 I had contain private information which he had no right to demand and see, unless he was a local or state law enforcement officer which he certainly was not. Of all the North Texas ranges both indoor and outdoor IΓÇÖve been to, GibsonΓÇÖs is the first to ever give me such grief over NFA items. Due to that experience I havenΓÇÖt been back since nor do I plan to return.

This place is great since it changed ownership. The prior owners were grouchy, which is probably all the one star reviews, the new owners are very friendly. It's one of the only outdoor ranges in DFW where you can shoot FMJ.

The range is really well run and the staff is awesome! Please donΓÇÖt let past bad experiences and ratings sway you away from visiting. They are now run by awesome folks under new management! ItΓÇÖs not the old range for sure.

It was our first time there and it was a great experience. They take safety seriously, but donΓÇÖt act like dictators like other ranges. I had my two boys there and they complimented their adherence to rules and good behavior. I really appreciated that because I try to instill good behavior and safety at the range. Excited to go back! Keep in mind you need a photo ID to shoot, even kids. Be prepared with their school ID or other photo proof of ID. I appreciate their diligence.

Great experience here. Came for the first time with a new rifle. Was treated respectfully and was helped when I had questions without making me feel dumb. I will definitely be using them again. Highly recommend. Pros: (1) Free target included Can borrow sand bags as needed Can rent sighting scope Great staff Plenty of stations open Rifles are allowed Cons: Have to wait for staff to cease fire to replace your targets Must always remain seated when using rifles Some SBRs aren't allowed Outdoors
