Governors Gun Club

Q: Do they mount and level scopes for rifles? If so how much?
A: Yes. Call and let them know what you want to mount and they will give you a price.
- Adam Wofford (6 years ago)
A: Yes, They mount and bore-sight scopes. The price varies.
- Perry Lamb (6 years ago)
A: They do have a gunsmith. Not sure the price.
- Ian T (6 years ago)
A: They can and the price varies for different models.
- Miracle Austin (6 years ago)
Q: Can I apply for a weapons carry license at your gun range?
A: Concealed carry is now considered constitutional in georgia don't need a license. Just don't be a felon, that's it.
- Ayed Jabra (3 months ago)
A: No. Gun licenses are only on your county court house
- JD (8 months ago)
Q: Do you have rifle zeroing stands to use?
A: Get your rifles on paper at the 25 yard lanes, then to the basement with 3 x 100 yard lanes with computerized targets, to help zero and determine accuracy
- Nelson Langub (6 years ago)
A: It is absolute garbage for zeroing your rifle. I would never recommend that anyone use this rifle range for anything other than pissing away rounds. There is no determined target to shoot at, so the best you can hope for is that you aim close to the same place twice in a row.
- Joshua Marchant (5 years ago)
A: Yes, just did that yesterday. They had a foam block and an adjustable screw-type tabletop stand at my station. There may have been others, but I did not inquire, that was all I needed. I did not see a full bench rest. And as one other mentioned, you do need to be close to zeroed at 25yd first, otherwise you will cause damage to the 30" diameter tube underground lanes or targeting system.
- Adam Wofford (6 years ago)
A: Yes
- Ray Feltner (6 years ago)
A: Yes
- Jamie Licitra (6 years ago)

Q: Does this location also let Veterans (with documentation) use the range for no charge on Thursdays?
A: Yes, per their website, veterans and first responders shoot free on Thursdays with the purchase of ammo and target.
- Allison Giddens (5 years ago)
Q: can you do rapid fire
A: No
- Allison Giddens (5 years ago)
Q: Do they have skeet ranges?

A: Money
- Leo Orenstein (5 years ago)
A: Money, no felonies, at least 18 years of age, and legal photo ID
- Jamie Licitra (5 years ago)
A: You can sign a waiver if you are a guest to shoot and show ID. This club is awesome. Food is good and they have events also.
- M (5 years ago)
A: Money, proper age. I didn't show a carry permit and you shouldn't have to. They do require do or I'd Everytime you shoot.
- richard mann (5 years ago)
Q: How much is the entry fees?
A: Couple options. Buy a membership that range from 500-2500 or just pay range fees for a single visit. Range info is different on the website and they WILL NOT honor it in Kennesaw. They do split it into two sections, off-time and prime-time. Off time is weekday till 4pm and cost $15 for first shooter, $12 for additional shooter on your shared lane. Prime time is after 4pm and weekend and costs $18per hour and & 14 for a second shooter with you sharing a lane. So for two people to go for 1hr will be $32, that's not including targets or ammo. Currently the 100yard range is not open, but you have to purchase self healing targets from and it's an additional cost (don't remember the cost to shoot, 100yrd)
- Chris Helton (chphotovideo) (6 years ago)
A: The range charge is by the hour. You don't need to be a member.
- Adam Wofford (6 years ago)
A: Depends on your membership level. Visit their website and click on membership.

I found staff to be rude and not customer friendly. I was at the Kennesaw location. If you want to share a direct number and contact person, I'm happy to share my experience.

ItΓÇÖs no exaggeration to say that Governors Gun Club has the best gun range in Georgia. This club easily outshines its competitors, leaving them far behind. The staff is extremely respectful and friendly, always maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. The atmosphere is so relaxed that you leave feeling at ease and satisfied. Whether itΓÇÖs your first time at this club or your first time at any gun range, safety is a top priority. Informative safety videos are readily available, ensuring you understand all the necessary rules and guidelines. If you need more assistance, well-trained instructors are always on hand to help you navigate your way around your firearms. The price range at this facility makes it accessible to all budgets, from $25 to $16,000, catering to every type of customer. A special thanks to the visionary founder of this club for promoting financial inclusion, making this top-tier facility available to everyoneΓÇöfrom the hardworking everyday person to the President himself. The atmosphere at Governors Gun Club is unmatched. You are always treated with respect and acknowledgment, whether you're a Navy SEAL or an 80-year-old first-time shooter. ThereΓÇÖs no judgment, and no one is left unattended, regardless of their experience level. One unique aspect I noticed is the diversity among the staff. It seems like there are team members from all over the world. Whether you speak English, Spanish, an Asian language, or a European one, youΓÇÖre likely to find someone who speaks your language, making communication effortless. Special thanks to the visionary behind this exceptional facility. I couldnΓÇÖt find a single flaw or issue to deduct any stars. The vibe is simply the best IΓÇÖve experienced at any gun range in Georgia. Well done, Governors Gun Club. Well done.

Nice range but I wonΓÇÖt join again. Restaurant is good and the facility is nice. The value just isnΓÇÖt there now that it got busier and I am not able to shoot without a long wait given the premium pricing. The exclusivity is nice though.

Facility is nice, but the staff more often than not donΓÇÖt engage with customers unless spoken to. The RSO that was helping us check in said he couldn't find my info in the system and instead of helping he walked away from us. Their faulty iPadΓÇÖs barely worked to login with and my info was in the system. The employees couldnΓÇÖt care less to help you unless you are putting down money.

I love this Club. Even though I live far away it is worth the trip. Took my wife to lunch after I shot on range and she went shopping. The food was excellent and our server Anna Clara was the best you could ever hope for.

We recently rented the patio for our company birthday party and the experience was superb in every way! The venue is gorgeous, and the food and drinks were fantastic. Sandra made the booking process so enjoyable and easy. Our Event Coordinator Suzanne was an absolute delight to work with and made sure we had a perfect experience. Our server Cindy was excellent and the bartenders are masters of their craft. I highly recommend the Kennesaw Governor's Gun Club and I'm sure the other locations are stellar as well. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us! We will definitely be back. 13/10 stars!

This is specifically for the Kennesaw location as the one I frequent mostly is Powder Springs and is always 5 stars. I have been a GCC member for a while now and I actively avoid the Kennesaw location, even though it is nicer and more done up. Specially because for some reason someone on the staff always likes to let everyone else know when theyΓÇÖre having a bad day. Gun counter and range counter were good to go, helpful and friendly. The shorter RSO guy named Lee (I think)? Not so much. And itΓÇÖs always someone every time I go in. This guy was such a pretentious jerk the entire time I was there. His attitude and the way he talks to people is just outright disrespectful and condescending to the point that I had to have someone talk me down from ripping this kid when we packed up to leave. As a very experienced and certified shooter/trainer I do expect some RSOs to have a little sass from time to time, but this guy was just weird and had this ΓÇ£IΓÇÖm better than everyone hereΓÇ¥ mentality on his sleeve. Not a fan, will spend another 6-9 months not going back to Kennesaw again thankfully.

If you want a glimpse into how great Sandra and Heidi are at parties and events - here's my experience. My company Christmas party has been there for the past 4 years. It is the party of the year simply because of them! They attend to you and your needs throughout the party and whatever question I ask them, the answer is always yes! Spur of the moment request. Yes! I could not believe that I figured out this year that not only was I not the only party, but I was the smallest party at 75 people. They were doing for me what they were doing for 4 other parties simultaneously and none of us knew it. We all felt like it was just us! They are incredibly professional, patient, willing to give you their ideas but honor yours, and I've never seen 2 ladies work harder than them. They are sharp and sweet! A lethal combination for anybody wanting to hold an event. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Such a great place to be. This has been one of the greatest Innovations in Cobb County since I've lived here for going on 20 years. So much available, whether it be training, practicing, dining, shopping, hosting events, attending events Etc. We have been members since they opened in Kennesaw and absolutely love the environment and everyone there. We love it so much that we held our wedding ceremony there and reception! That puts a new twist as well. Thank you for all you offer us. - Beth and Thomas Taylor

If you are coming here for the 100 yard range, donΓÇÖt waste your time. I just did. The target is basically a giant, black blob, so you really have no clue where you are shooting. ItΓÇÖs clear the target system is not properly maintained. You can try to get a grouping, but if you want to zero your rifle, you will have to find someplace else. It is not possible here. I gave the guy behind the counter some feedback, and he acted like he had never heard that before. There is no way people come here to shoot accurately with their rifles. ItΓÇÖs basically good for firing a weapon and thatΓÇÖs it. Very disappointed and hope I can find somewhere else to zero my rifles.

Called ahead to get the hours of operation for the indoor shotgun range. Was told it was open at 11am along with all the other facilities. Drove 45 minutes to get there at 11:30am and when trying to check in was told they don’t open until 4pm. Zero empathy from the counter employees… Customer service is obviously not a goal of this establishment. If your employees can’t share the right information I will not be sharing my business.

If you’re new to shooting, or just learning at ranges I would NOT suggest this place for you. It is not a place conducive to learning, or practicing if you are not already and established and talented shooter. The establishment is nice, however, fines were not disclosed when signing up for the membership. Fines are also not enforced consistently or equitably, and you will be fined exorbitantly if you make common errors like raging ceiling or ground. We had a new shooter with us on a visitor pass who tagged the ceiling on accident, which was a $30 fine each time. This I think is the biggest issue for us because a range is where new shooter’s SHOULD be able to go to learn, and having fines like this only increases nerves and stress for new shooters. There was no attempt at assistance, education or improvement support from the employee, only very annoyed notifications of the fines we were “racking up”. We’ve gone to several ranges in the area and this is the only place so far that seems to have this punishment. While shooting a 556 with ammo we’d shot here three times before without issue, we were fined $100 for the “wrong” ammo on the fourth trip, mind you we would have happily purchased the correct ammo for shooting at the range at any point if we’d been told, but wanting to fine us after allowing us to use the “wrong” ammo 3 times before was ridiculous, ammo we had purchased and shot at another range. Range Marshall Lee, asked to see the ammo, bc he claimed he saw sparks at the end… when we showed him the loaded mag he immediately said “that’s steel ammo it’s $100 fine” however, checking when we got home we can confirm it’s Winchester lead core, and there’s really no way for him to have visibly identified the ammo as steel without using a magnet. Which of course they did not even offer, Range Marshall Lee was immediately rude, condescending, and prideful. Not to mention they did not tell us we had to pay the fines initially, he seemed to tell us what the fines were as if it was a warning. And this assumption was further enforced when we were finished and picking up our ID’s (with range marshall Lee on the register side of the range glass) they did not indicate we needed to pay the fines then and there, again as if it had been an unnecessarily aggressive warning. No they waited until we were in our car pulling out of the parking lot to call us and say we needed to come back because they need to explain the fines further. We decided to cancel our membership, we will drive the extra 20 minutes to shoot at Big Woods Goods as their customer service, and overall enthusiasm for new shooters education, practice and improvement is so worth it. We’ve signed us and some friends up for personal defense courses in response to canceling our membership here at governors because our new shooter friend is not only embarrassed but incredibly discouraged thanks to their attitude and the aggression in which they communicated their rules. We’d like to support a business that truly supports 2A, and people starting out as new/beginner shooters, not one that emphasizes the ability to profit of newbie errors. Sadly we’ll miss seeing our buddy grant at the register, we were looking forward to buying some new firearms from him but if he decides to work at Big Woods instead one day we’ll be his first customers. I hope Governors takes this review to heart and reassesses the way they communicate with people learning to shoot for the first time, perhaps offering pointers and a warning before angrily fining new shooters with disdain and annoyance.

You will not find a better venue to host your event. Tons of room with several event location options. You got the patio area, you have the restaurant area, you have the event hall area with stage and they have hosted large galas in the shooting range too! Whenever I work with Sandra and team the details are always top notch! Looking for an awesome venue? Call Governor Gun Club!

Showed up at 7:40 on a Friday after a long week, and was turned away becajse they were "doing last mag in a few minutes" not even right then! range was almost full and told they had to clean up. Super disappointing as this was the only range I went to. I still know some great staff there. Turn customers away during business hours so they could clean...while still open. I get it they close at 8 but maybe change yours hours. I could easily have been in and out in 10min and I think what really bothered me was how they were actin, prety rude. I'm pretty sure one was a manager too.

I hosted an event here today, it went AMAZING thanks to the team at the club bending over backwards to help us out. The food was maybe the best food I've ever had for an event, and the venue was gorgeous with plenty of things to do. Highly recommend either hosting an event here or attending an event here - it is fun either way!

As a member of this establishment, I must say the dining and shooting facilities is top notch, however, their NFA gun store personnel needs to be replaced, especially. I’ve dealt with many NFA agents in the area and by far this is the worst. Bear in mind. I’m a member at Governor’s. After purchasing a NFA item at a charity auction on Governor’s premise, it took them 2 weeks to get back to me to on why my emails for my charity auction purchase and my ATF online account were different…and this is after I called multiple times to see check on the status of my certification process. During one of my calls, I was told, “Don’t call us. We will call you.” I had to get someone from the charity to call Governor’s to find out what was the issue. Mind you I AM A MEMBER OF GOVERNOR’S. Governor’s has all my information and could’ve simply picked up the phone and called me to clarify the issue. I don’t know a single person that uses 1 email address for everything. I finally got the paperwork and digitally signed it so that it could be certified by Governor’s on September 15, 2024. It wasn’t until I went on the ATF website on November 1, 2024 that I realized I had no items waiting for approval. I logged into my SilencerShop portal only to find my paperwork hadn’t been certified by Governor’s. Contacting SilencerShop via phone and email I was told the transfer agent, Governor’s, had yet to certify the document. Now I am more than familiar with the process it takes for NFA items and realize the ATF “hold” times which can take months. For one and a half months Governor’s NFA staff sat on their hands and never bother to call me to certify my all ready digitally signed NFA paperwork. Mind you I’m a member and they have my contact information. When the paperwork is ready to certify, the transfer agent would call the transferee and both would sign on to the SilencerShop and ATF websites to certify the documents. I’ve don’t this with Adventure and GA Firing Line and others in the area, so I know how this goes. I called Governor’s at 2:30 but the NFA personnel was “out to lunch,” so I told them to call me back. The called me back at 4:42, but I didn’t pick up, because the call was registered to a number from Kazakhstan! I don’t know anyone from Kazakhstan, so with all the scam out in the world, why would I pick up a call from Kazakhstan. Fortunately they left a message and called back immediately to speak with Chase at extension 3050. Took a few calls because no one picked up until the third call. Chase told me that my paperwork was already in process with the ATF, but he went ahead and logged in from Governor’s SilencerShop portal and sure enough, my paperwork had yet to be certified by Governor’s. It takes about 10 minutes to certify the document, but had I not checked on the status of my paperwork, Lord knows how long it would’ve taken Governor’s to realize that they had documents digitally waiting for them to certify for one and a half months. BEAR IN MIND. I AM A MEMBER AT GOVERNOR’S! I have yet to get an explanation or apology for the delay and the horrific service from their NFA staff. The only apology I have gotten was from Governor’s liaison to the charity. BEAR IN MIND. I AM A MEMBER AT GOVERNOR’S. Unfortunately at this same auction, I purchased an additional year of membership at Governor’s. If I had known I would be treated like this, I would’ve spent my hard earned money on an establishment that treats its patrons truthfully and more respectfully!
