Edit (2/11/25): the rifle range is reopening which was not previously communicated. Last I heard the range was closing. The rules are set up for idiots that can't follow them, see below for other thoughts. Closing the rifle range for an archery range is a huge loss. Rules are set up for old timers, fudds if you will, and the hours are not the best if you work. It's a fine range for limited Shotgun sports and pistol only.

I signed up with the Greenville Gun Club this year at the beginning of the year to use the rifle range. I didn’t receive my credentials until after the first week of May… after which point the rifle range subsequently closed for renovations on May 31st.. the range reopened months later and then they limited the days of operation to include mandatory range safety officers and a $20 use fee for the range. Also, they increased the yearly fee by $100 and the rifle range will be closed after December 31st except for tournament use. I’ve been around a while, a military and Law Enforcement Veteran and this whole process felt somewhat shady. There was no mention of upcoming range renovations during the initial signup process nor was there any mention of the fee increase, limited range hours or subsequent closure of the rifle range. It just seems like they knew what was coming and allowed extra people in to take their money to fund the renovation projects. I can’t recommend dealing with these people or this range due to my negative experience.

These people are crooks. Its a club for the old timers. Do not join. They aren't friendly, they have taken our money for projects we did not want, and continued to reduce access. Hours are set up for the retired members only and I'm done with this place. No rifle range was the final straw.

I had all the hope in this range when I became a member only 4 months ago. I was just looking for a range like my dad and I used to go to when I was growing up. Long story short this range is not it with their now limited availability and fees to use a range that you are a member of already find another one. 1st off they have gates all around which is all right, but non members will attempt to follow you in. a safety issue. 2nd off no concealed carry allowed on premises another safety issue. 3rd right after I joined the rifle range which is the only reason I even joined was closed for 4-6 weeks and only opened on Friday and Saturday after that for membership. 2 work days for me, but I appreciated how they opened on Tuesday and Wednesday for a few weeks. 4th Bringing my dad to the range i thought oh this is going to be like old times but the RSOs if anything made it uncomfortable standing behind both of us not for 5 minutes but 40 minutes because we were the only ones on a pistol range shooting and 10 yard targets. So I slowly reloaded mags. 5th the last straw starting in early October the rifle range is only open Saturday and Sunday and will charge $20 a day to members who use it it. Which means if i use the range an abysmal one time a month my range charge doubles. 250 annual fee+rifle range fee X # of visits. Which I get is probably to pay for RSOΓÇÖs to staff the range while shooting rifle, but it is a lot more than any other range charges even as a one time fee. They banned the problem members already and have cameras everywhere as well. I am just disappointed in this range I spent $500 just to join and can count how many times I was able to go shooting due to closures at about 5 times and I tried to go 4 times more but the closures were not advertised. Pistol range is always open, but why specifically shoot outdoors when any indoor range offers a similar or better experience.

After emailing several times with no response I checked the open hours drove over to potentially look into joining. As I arrived the gate was closed so I called the clubhouse several times with no answer so when the next car came in and the gate opened I drove in and went straight to the clubhouse. I was meet by a man that was extremely rude and asked me what I was doing and what my business was as I started to tell him he told me I was trespassing and he could call the sheriff and have me removed. I told him that would not be necessary i would take my money and BUSINESS elsewhere. I was also told we are not a try before you buy type of club.

Membership is down 25% and I believe that it has to do with a belligerent RSO as well as how they closed for covid! It’s an outdoor range! Why close?!🙄 If you see a baby blue suv and a guy with a bolt action .22 on the pistol range walk away.

Well maintained, very well supervised, range safety officers whose concern is to always maintain a safe shooting environment. Great place to shoot competitively, or just target shooting with other responsible gun owners.
