Hannahatchee Creek WMA Shooting Range

Q: Is the range marked off at intervals, say, like 25, 50, 100?
A: No, you would need to bring a rangefinder or have a general idea of how far 25,50, and 100 yards are

One of the best WMAs in Georgia! Abundance of hogs, deer and squirrel! Great camping area for rolling terrain with lots of creek bottom. Hard woods in the lower ground and pine trees on the high ground! The turkey population is growing thanks to the hard work of the Game Management team there!

Outdoor shooting range. There wasn't anyone working as a safety when I went. The other people using the range were very friendly and communicated before anyone starting firing or went downrange. It a good place to shoot and not have to rush because of other people or paying for time. Bring everything you think you'll need with you. I did not find any restroom facilities

Range used to have targets now the frames are gone even. Bring a target, pallet, sign something to put a target on. If someone that manages the range will get with me I can get them some 3/4" plywood to rebuild the targets if we could. I know it's a shame that idiots destroy things ruining it for everyone...

Had a blast with my daughter. Beautiful drive on the way down. First pulled up and a lot of cars were there. Looked like an older man giving a class. They were done and leaving. So, we had it to ourselves. God guns and blue skies. It was a great day.

The range was nice. There is no staff there. No range marking so bring your own range finder, target stand, and chairs to sit at the shooting table. From the shooting area to the burm was about 170 yards. I enjoyed shooting there.

Went to this range 12/31/2022 to check it out. Nice small range but people who use this range don't abide by the rules that were posted. There was brass everywhere. Targets were left on the long gun side that were obliterated and not removed by the shooters. On the pistol side the target holders are in need of repair but some are still functional. Trash strewn along the sides of the berms. Nearly all the signs posted by Georgia DNR had bullet holes in them and even the dumpster was used for target practice. It's sad to see that shooters are damaging the property and not cleaning up after themselves. If you come here to shoot make sure you bring your own chair or stool. There are no restrooms or power at this location. My cellphone worked here.

By far the best WMA Range in GA! The shooting benches are on the older side with no attached pivoting seats.. but are a great "U" Shape that work better than the"T" shaped ones in my opinion. When I went there were several chairs on the older-side.. they worked, but I brought my own and a shooting mat to Shoot prone. There's not much concrete for a mat unless under benches, Each open side is soft grass that works well. I have only been once as it is 120 miles from home, it's in a rural but easily traveled to location. The range is in a very nice setting that allows ample sunlight for any chronograph work, slight downside is that wind can play an effect. I thoroughly enjoyed taking my DB-10's out to 175yd with some wind holds :) I spent 6 hours there on a Sunday and only seen 6 other people. The 35yd pistol range is a nice addition as it keeps the rifle range more space & time between "Hot & Cold". The pistol side has paved sidewalks with moveable tables between gravel sections. Taget stands are frames that require clips. Rifle side had Large wooden target stands at various ranges for adhesive or stapled targets. I Really whish it wasn't so far away! I Love ranges with No R/O's, proper communication is key with other shooters but there's no one to tell you to stop the double taps ;) Really one of the best I've found on my public range journeys in a 200mi. Radius from ATL. No Restrooms, Ample Parking, Hunting, Fishing, or Lands pass required ($15) if you get caught without one it's a $120 CRIMINAL TRESPASSING TICKET! SIDE NOTE, I'm a reloader and sorta a brass hound and this was the cleanest range I've looked over.. I'm sure I'll be back or inevitably shell out $175 for Bob's in palmetto, $250 for AL Gun club, or one of the other way out of the way (for me) private ranges. Happy & Safe shooting to you!

My favorite range IΓÇÖve been to. Bring your own gear, ammo, and be responsible and respectful of others, no overzealous range ΓÇ£safetiesΓÇ¥ trying to control your outing. Wish I was living in the general area again just to return to this range.
