Happy Hollow Gun Range

Q: How much is it and can you bring a shotgun?
A: It's $10 all day, or until you run out of ammo. But you can also buy extra ammo from them! It's a win-win if you ask me. (& yes to the shotgun) 🔫😎 Happy hunting.
- Trust NoOne (6 years ago)
A: Do you have indoor shooting range?
- Eve Joy (6 years ago)
A: 10 bucks all day. Slugs permitted. Extra ammo of many types is available if you run dry. They also have extra shoot n see targets.
- Dan Gresham (6 years ago)
A: However you can only use slugs no shot
- John Carr (6 years ago)
Q: How much does it cost for a day of shooting?
A: 10 dollars
- Raider214 (5 years ago)
A: $10 per adult (discounts available for active military, veterans and seniors)
- Chris Webster (5 years ago)
A: They also offer a senior discount. Ask for it if appropriate.
- Daryl Howard (5 years ago)
A: Awesome! Thank you very much for the quick reply. I'll be visiting Thursday.
- Chris M. (CJesseRun) (5 years ago)
Q: Is there an age limit? I'm 16, and I want to take a 17 year old girl shooting... do we need an adult with us? I do know gun safety, and have shot a lot before.
A: I would call them and ask for the range rules. As you're not old enough to purchase any firearm, it may be problematic and I'd lean towards having an adult there
- Raider214 (5 years ago)
Q: Do they allow kids
A: I think so with adult supervision
- Bill Beam (10 months ago)
Q: Are the targets illuminated at all? I see they're open until 8, but the sun sets about 5:15...
A: Winter hours are 9a-5p Mon-Sat and 10a-5p Sun
- Chris Webster (5 years ago)
A: Google has it wrong. They're open 'til 5. The lady in the office said they will be open later than 5 when time change happens again in the Spring. It's a nice lil awning covered outdoor range. Not artificially lit though.
- Jordan Smith (5 years ago)
Q: Do you have to bring your own target's?
A: They provide 1 and extras are .50¢ I believe. If you go to academy or atwoods, they have target stickers you can add to them. It makes a target last longer because when you make alot of holes you can cover them up with a sticker target and it’s like new.
- Bradd Audron (2 years ago)
Q: Can I bring my 18 yo son to shoot pistols? Does he need his ID?
A: Yes. And no i.d
- Ghost Unknown (a year ago)
Q: Do you have to have a membership to shoot here?
A: No membership. Just show up pay you $10 and shoot. They also have a senior discount. There is a range master that controls the shooting cycle. No one goes down range when the range is ΓÇ£hotΓÇ¥. It is very safe. The operators are very nice people.
- Bill Fiore (2 years ago)
Q: Whats there longest shooting range
A: The longest lane or lanes is 200 yards.
- Gary Hutchison (4 years ago)
Q: Can you shot rifle out there
A: Yep

I usually only leave positive reviews (if deserved), but this place was awful. The dirt road is so bad that you need a 4x4 to get in and back out. The target holders were in such horrible shape that they had to close off a quarter of the range while someone was repairing it. This in my humble opinion should be done after hours not during prime shooting hours. The range safety officer was rude and inconsistent in rule enforcement. Etc....

Fun, family owned. Could use some more upkeep though.

An awesome place to send rounds down range. Needs a little upgrading on range and road entering range, but the lady that runs it is very nice and structured about the way a range should be operated. I'll be a return shooter for sure.

Happy Hollow is a decent basic range, I believe price discrepancy people have found is they have a +$5 weekend rate, $15 is still super reasonable. My 2 gripes are things that's just not their fault, the entire range is 1 firing line, they have plenty of benches, but very basic. And because of the limited backstop rapid fire is not allowed, RSO is very observant and quick to respond to rule breakers. It's a basic economical range. Oh a 3rd gripe the road in is very rough and unpassible for low clearance vehicles in wet consitions.

Worst range experience IΓÇÖve ever had if I could give this zero stars I would. Got yelled at over the intercom system in front of everybody because when I was leaving, I crumbled up my target to throw it in the trash instead of giving it to them for them to crumble it up and throw it away. Also, this alleged range safety officer doesnΓÇÖt know what an AK is and I got in trouble for not locking the bolt open when an AK doesnΓÇÖt have a bolt hold. Fudd range for sure . Embarrassing

It’s a little of the beaten path but worth the 15$ You can shoot all day if you want…long range shooting up to 200 yards. The lady is very extremely nice and they will let you set up on your lane and shoot and then you can literally take your lunch, go to your truck to eat or eat it at your lane and then go right back to shooting all day if you want to, all for 10$ for the whole day. Also, there is no limit on the rifles you can shoot per session ☺️☺️❤️❤️☺️ My husband has been coming here for years and they are the nicest people ❤️❤️ Please show them some support and go try them out…Small businesses MATTER!!!❤️

The gravel road in is rough. Don't bring a low-clearance vehicle. The range is great! $15 for all-day shooting. They provide 1 large paper target affixed to cardboard. I like to bring my own and tape them on over the top. You can shoot pistol at 5 and 10 yards and rifle at 50, 100, and 200 yards. All lanes are under cover/awning so you'll be shaded/dry. Yes, they remind you 3 seconds between shots if you're fast. If you persist, they excuse you from the range. For those of us who don't care to have someone mag-dump next to us, it's lovely. While you're shooting, they run ~15 (sometimes 25) minutes for range hot. Then they call last shot and everyone clears their weapons. Once all clear, everyone can go down range to check targets, put up new ones, change lanes, etc. Once the range is all clear, they go hot again for another ~15 (or more) minutes. Runs all day like this. Nice folks running the range, and I always meet someone with at least one interesting piece they're willing to talk/teach you about. 2 Port-a-Pots for bathroom facilities. Bring your own water and food. Sweep up your brass - they have brooms, dustpans, and collection bins. It's simple and safe and a beautiful setting.

The place is getting ruined down and no up keep. The road to the range from the blacktop is ruff and washed out.

I love Happy Hollow. If you are looking for state of the art facilities, etc., this is not your place; however, if you want a relaxing place to shoot some rounds, and support a small Mom and Pop that loves veteran's, etc., this is the place to be.

Old RSO dude is incredibly rude and has no clue what the hell he is talking about. First off the range doesnΓÇÖt permit rapid fire which is dumb, but on top of that the dude got mad because I accidentally waited two seconds in between shots instead of three. A few minutes later he threatened to kick me off the range for ΓÇ£shooting at other peopleΓÇÖs targetsΓÇ¥ when I was literally the only one the firing line, and never shot at any other target aside from my own. Will not be coming back. I recommend the US shooting academy instead where at least I can be left alone and actually can shoot in peace. Not to mention they donΓÇÖt care about how fast you shoot as long as itΓÇÖs safe and not an FRT/Binary

Range is ran like a military range. Safety is number one and range personnel are very helpful and always ready to assist inexperienced folks. I recommend it to anyone that wants a good rifle/pistol range.

Other reviews are correct about the entrance road. On dry days, all vehicles are okay. Preferably to use a truck or all wheel drive vehicle due to driveway potholes. I read they charged $10 for the day per person. I was charged $15 per person. Unless prices changed, then I was discriminated due to my color. Regardless, it is cheaper than most places, a lot closer to home. Super friendly staff and range master. I attached a photo of the driveway.

Never come here! The fudd ΓÇ£ranger masterΓÇ¥ if thatΓÇÖs even what you wanna call him. DoesnΓÇÖt know the difference between an AR and a Shotgun. Complained about how loud my AR was (10.5) with a Standard A2 birdcage flash hider. NOW REMEMBER ITS ALL OUTSIDE AND HE WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE NOISE. I shot my steel target here several times at 200 yards then one time he started to complain, saying that it was going to ricochet with a 556 round. AT 200+ YARDS ON A HILL COVERED IN DIRT.. Truth be told all the staff members here need to work on their attitude and how they talk to paying customers. IΓÇÖm not sure if he got this job because he was a family friend or what but I know for sure itΓÇÖs not due to his reputation or credentials

Overall the range is good, but the lady is also got a attitude when we come. Ask us if we have been here before, then ask if we know how to put in the target?? Then she told us give her an example on how to put the target in?? Just definitely needs to adjust attitude.

One of the few gun ranges where hi-powered rifles are able to be used in the area. Most others are pistol only. Price is very reasonable, but they don't sell ammunition, remember to bring your own. Those who reload are welcome to pick up their own brass. They sell the brass of those who leave it at the clubhouse. Place is basic, but has all you need to practice or zero in your scope.

Never never never go here. The ΓÇ£Range officerΓÇ¥ is a complete idiot not only have we had problems with him several times but most of the time when we go, we also hear him talking disrespectfully to other people as well. This place is ran down, dirty, unhealthy and unsafe. IΓÇÖve shot my steel target here on many occasions, until the ΓÇ£old manΓÇ¥ (range officer) decided it was unsafe and could ricochet at 220 yards. This place needs new staff and ALOT of work and training for all the employees there. Go to 2A, US SHOOTING ACADEMY, or THE SANDSPRINGS GUN CLUB. Yes they are alittle more expensive but itΓÇÖs worth it not to be harassed by an old man that canΓÇÖt tell the difference between an AR-15 and a Shotgun. YouΓÇÖd be better off dry firing then getting ANY training out here.

The place is cheap for a reason. The facility is dirty, run down, shooting benches are torn and falling apart, target holders are shot apart and barely hold your targets, disgusting porta potties to use the bathroom in. I'll never go back to this range. It isn't worth the ground it sits on. They'll be lucky to be open still within 2 years. Take your shooting business to Sand Springs gun club or find yourself some land to set a range up on. Because this place isn't it.

I mean you can sight your rifle in. It's a chore shooting here. It's a fudd range. If you're wanting to have fun go to a range that allows rapid fire.
