Decent shooting range located in the Talladega National Forest. It is marked off at 25 yards, 50 yards, and 100 yards. It has hog wire fencing to attach targets at those areas. There are 4 shooting tables at the firing line. Unfortunately the tables are in need of repair. The wood is rotting and causing the table tops to have chunks of wood missing. It doesnΓÇÖt create a level shooting platform when using a bipod. Take a piece of plywood to cover the table top to even it out. No one picks up the brass, and there isnΓÇÖt any trash receptacles located at the range. Please take all of your garbage back with you when you leave. It is a National Park facility and it cost $3.00 for day use. There are envelopes to place your payment in and a cash box to deposit the payment into. Have an ink pen to fill out the payment slip. My sons and I enjoyed our visit and will return in the near future.

Quiet, alone, middle of nowhere, truly not that bad. Good for long, medium, and short range weapons.

Great little 100yd range. It is def back in the woods and will take a bit to get there. I normally take my truck but have done it in my old Crown Vic, it's not terrible. Bring your targets and clean up best you can after yourself. They have a big trash bin there but it doesn't get emptied much...take trash back out with you. Pay for use is on the honor system, bring some dollars ($3?). Only once have I ever seen anyone else there.

IΓÇÖve been shooting at this range since I was a kid. You will need to bring your own targets and a means of hanging them. Garden stakes and fishing line work well in a pinch. ItΓÇÖs a little difficult to get to as other folks have said but that gives you some privacy. I can make the drive in an old Honda CRV. Take 548, not 533 like Google suggests.

It's open but very hard to get to because you have to travel on unpaved very rough and narrow roads. Hope that no vehicle is coming in the opposite direction cause you might have to drive into a ditch on a steep dirt road to get by. Forget about driving a car or SUV on the final access road. You need a truck. At one point the road was so steep and uneven that I scraped the underneath of my SUV and my tires were barely touching the road. Was lucky to get out of there without a tow.
