Highwood Creek Outfitters

Q: Can I bring my 270 win caliber rifle
A: Yes. It must be in a case though. 25 yard indoor. Good for fam and function check at least.
- Robert Munsinger (6 years ago)
Q: Can you bring in your own hunting rifle for target practice and if so how big of a round? I own a 22 long rifle rifle and a. 243 rifle
A: Yes just make sure it is in a case and let them know what they are. They will assign you a lane accordingly. They have lanes they like to use for pistols and lanes they like for rifles. Also if space allows, they like to put space between the rifles and pistols. One of the guys told me once that they are rated to .50 cal. Not sure if thats rifle or pistol though.
- Robert Munsinger (6 years ago)
A: I believe they said they allow up to a .300 Win mag. $15/hr for single person or you plus one can share a lane for $25/hr. They close the range at 7pm if no one is currently using it.
- Zachary Slay (6 years ago)
Q: Where can I take my lower receiver that needs to be drilled out?
A: To Highwood Creek.
- Fred Rauch (a month ago)
Q: me and my partner are driving in from Calgary, how much are fees when it comes to shooting in the range and rentals
A: lane fees are $15/hr + targets @$2 most gun rentals are $15/hr + ammo
- Highwood Creek Outfitters (11 months ago)
Q: I need help sighting inn my gun? I can't hit the broad side of a barn
A: They have a awesome staff. I'm sure they would love to assist in any way they can.
- 406EricGF MT (6 years ago)
Q: Can you bring your own gun and ammo
A: Yes of course. Steel penetrators by definition would not be allowed. Great place to get your shooting down for familiarization and practice. Also found out they only want brass casings on the range.
- Robert Munsinger (5 years ago)
A: Depends on ammo but yes. I know the .38 cant have the steel head
- cody bautista (6 years ago)
Q: How much does it cost to come shoot ? How much are the gun rentals ? Do u need a gun liecmses or anything to come shoot
A: Range is 15 an hour. Guns are reasonable at around 15 an hour as well with a good selection to try. No license needed but you have to read and sign some forms on first visit. They will give you a card to bring the next time. You could just literally show up with some money and shoot. Staff very accomodating. I go there regularly.
- Robert Munsinger (6 years ago)
Q: How old do you half to be to shoot
A: 18 unless your with a parent or guardian.
- 406EricGF MT (6 years ago)
Q: What are range prices
A: $15. hr., Firearms to rent. Classes for the novice shooters. CCW classes. Ask for prices there on classes.

I'm absolutely in love with this place! My 2 kids (ages 12 & 14) and I came in to use the range. The lady who runs the range is AMAZING! she knows her stuff. My kids were first-time shooters, and she was a huge help to us. She was firm about the rules of the range but also very kind to us and made us feel like we belonged there. We had a blast but also learned a lot from our time there. I would highly recommended the range for anyone but especially for new shooters and kids (ages 12+) the gentleman who runs the gun store is also really nice and you can tell that everyone who works there loves what they do. It shows in their knowledge and attitude. Yes, the gun store prices are slightly higher than you might pay at a big chain gun store. I can't lie and say this is the cheapest place to buy firearms/accessories. However, I will happily pay 5%-10% more for a product when the establishment is backed by people who aren't just there to make a commission and sell me some junk I don't need. I could tell these people are truly there to help find what fits your needs. They know what they're talking about. Nothing against any other gun stores but before you go spend your hard-earned money at a chain with some young kid who just wants to make a sale, come to a place like this first and give these guys a chance to earn your business. I guarantee you'll find what you're looking for and leave with peace of mind knowing that you're supporting a local business, and most importantly, you'll get sound advice on the things you purchase. Take it from someone who's been there, done that, and got the T-shirt. This is the kind of place you want to be. If nothing else, if you like to shoot guns in a safe, clean, and friendly environment. This is the place for you to do it.

Used to go to this place all the time. Now they wont sell you ammo unless you buy a gun or range time. That is ridiculous. Just sad to see a nice whole hearted business go down the path of up-charging and ripping you off. Go to Mitchells supply over by the Do bar. He doesn't price gouge, even in a "pandemic". And he is a nice family type man/business.

The store had a good collection of guns and supplies however, the staff was ignorant and arrogant. Incorrectly identified with a quick glance then arguing with me over the maker of one of my guns although the maker's name was stamped into the gun! It was unbelievable! Got mad when I showed him and walked away. Too expensive. Too many other options for me to do business there again.

super nice gun store! The owner is a great guy; he didn't deserve the heavy-handed attack on the store by ATF/IRS. Stand all!

I went in looking to upgrade from my current every day concealed carry. It's a SCCY CPX-2. 9MM. they have several of them, very common gun always listed at every store between $200-$250. I asked about trading in mine for credit on a Glock 20, because they offer that. The owner and another guy took my pistol apart and told me a spring is bad. I asked if he had any replacment springs, and he shut me down and would have to order one, gunparts are hard to find blah covid blah. Then He offered me $25 for my gun. I walked out.

Went for my first time today. Before even taking my pistol out of the case a guy came an started harassing me saying I canΓÇÖt do that? Do what I asked? An he got very upset an started yelling at me. Falsely accusing me of pointing a rifle at the ceiling an wall? When I didnΓÇÖt even have a rifle in my possession? The guy then realized I was not the guy he was looking for an shoved me out of the way to walk past me to the guy over a couple stalls that had the rifle an was the one who pointed it at the ceiling an wall.

Absolutely the worst customer service you will ever experience. If you are buying a fire arm they will they will try to make it feel like they are your buddies. I asked them why they have the same P365 as the two big big sporting goods stores do but for $70 more. All they said was we will sell it at that price because of the military people intown. Thars went i decided not to tell them that i have been in the military for 12 years and i walked out. If you are not buying a gunand just looking around to see whats new and ask questions on what the difference is between models they want nothing to do with you and act like you are beneath them.

Bought some ammo from them. Jim was helpful but put aside the wrong ammo. They exchanged it for me but did not put the $80 back in my account. The gentleman man who helped me after I got the wrong ammo was nice and helpful. I'll try to get answers one more time. By the way they do sell ammo without buying a firearm.

Their radio add says they have ammo for sale. Drove 100 miles to get there and they did indeed have ammo, but the guy was really "curt" with us, and informed us, if we wanted ammo we would have to buy a gun from them first. Really? False advertising! The guy, who I believe was the/an owner was just smug and rude about the whole thing. Had he been friendly about it, we might have left like, o.k., we get it. Not impressed with this type of deceptiveness. Why not just be upfront in the add though. Sorry, he lost our business now and in the future, plus we are spreading the word. Guess he only wants to make money on his terms, not a good business model.
