I love this range. It's clean and well kept. The range masters are all just awesome and friendly. They are also a wealth of knowledge and very helpful. It's a great place for the advanced and beginning shooters. Fantastic place for a fun day of shooting.

As anyone who frequents ranges knows, finding good ones can be quite a struggle. If you're reading this rest assured that Hillsdale is a fantastic choice for anyone in the KC metro area. The price is VERY reasonable and for all you get in return a TREMENDOUS value! Not only is the range exceptionally clean and well-cared for, but they have bag rests, carpet covers for the concrete shooting tables, spotting scopes for your convenience and at the 200 yard range - a GOLF CART you can use to change your targets! Additionally, on the day we went (9/20/2024) we had 3 different RO's all of whom were great - very helpful, kind and not at all fuddy - if you were concerned with that. If you are looking for a public range in the KC metro area, especially one with longer than the usual 100 yards I cannot recommend Hillsdale Range enough, we will definitely be returning ourselves!

Staff will not leave you alone, lotΓÇÖs of range-specific rules theyΓÇÖll scold you about without first explaining. I figured knowing basic gun safety and etiquette was enough, but prepare to get an attitude if you adjust/move a target that is out of line with your stall when using a pistol, or do not use a net to catch brass as you are firing a rifle. Honestly, very judgmental vibes. They want people with kids and geezers to come by with hunting rifles. Very unwelcoming and I left after firing one magazine because I was uncomfortable even being there. I have left 3 reviews ever, and felt so strongly about this that I decided to leave this review so I hope that means something.

Spacious sites in Sunflower area with full hookups. COE and maintained well. Lots of bank access for fishing and in our 2 extended stays the staff/hosts have been fantastic. Highly recommend!

For years this has absolutely been by far the best range in town. The range is neat, clean, and organized. ItΓÇÖs cheap to shoot. The range safety officers could not be more nice, helpful, or polite. My ONLY complaint is that they have recently required brass catchers because some sissy hipster got touched with a piece of warm brass WHILE ON THE LINE AT A SHOOTING RANGE lol. ItΓÇÖs a shooting range... It sucks that ONE snowflake can ruin it for EVERYONE.

I'll echo what so many others have said. The RSOs are awesome! They let my family shoot here on the day before Thanksgiving, which is, of course, a Wednesday. Normally this range is not open on Wednesdays, but they opened it up just for us and a few other folks who showed up. Amazing guys. I was blown away with their kindness and accommodations. I had a small Sig P238 that my 12 year old grandson was so anxious to try, and he loved shooting it. These guys go so far out of their way to make sure you're safe and that you also have a great time! Amazing. I was also blown away with the aiming and shooting help one of the RSOs gave my grandson! He was so kind and carefully guided him to improving his hold on the firearms. This turned out to be one of the best things we experienced this Thanksgiving week. We will surely come back again and again. Great range and even better staff!

The entire staff was incredibly helpful getting my gun sighted in before deer season. These people really care about sharing their passion. You might need to bring cash, it was $15 entry. I donΓÇÖt even think he charged me for my target this time.

Great range owned by the locals. They are professional, helpful for beginners, and have many different ranges for different weapons. $15 bucks to shoot literally ALL DAY. Way better than paying per half hour at center fire. It is right next to a gorgeous lake as well. This is my new range.

Great range and wonderful staff. Very informative and are very willing to help you with almost anything. My only complaint about this range is that they are only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It would be awesome if they could be open during the weekdays.

Love the more relaxed line control. Not rigid like Lake City range.

My first time there was 2020 before Covid hit full force. I like the layout and the graduated distances.

Besides this being a really nice outdoor range, which it is, the range marshals are just awesome and so helpful. I would recommend this range highly and its only about 40 minutes from KC.
