Nice gun range but only complaint is that if you purchase a year membership that you still have to pay to shoot but at half the cost. If you pay for a membership it should be free cause you pay to be a member. Other gun ranges if your member it's free. But honestly nice range for targets.

Chris and Brenda do a great job running this facility. I've recently discovered this gem and have spent a lot of time here on the rifle range enjoying the outdoors. 600yd range is not offen found but here you can! Paper and steel target available. It's a great time and great business!

I had just turned 18 and purchased my first fire arm, I was nervous about what to expect at a gun range, this was the first and only one IΓÇÖve gone to, the staff is extremely friendly and it feels homely, they showed me exactly where to go and it was amazing. And the regulars there are awesome people it really feels like a family here, I will be here for years to come!

I can't say enough about Hunters Point. My first visit in 10+ years to Hunters Point was to experience their unique 50-600-yard rifle range, and I was truly impressed. Their range is clean and safe and fosters a sense of community. As a new shooter at Hunter Point, the staff made us feel like we were part of the family, not just another visitor. When I lived in SD 10 years ago, Hunter Point only offered trap shooting, which I fully enjoyed! Now, they offer so much more, as they are always improving and reinvesting in their shooters' needs/wants. I will be moving back to SD in 2025 and plan to become a member so my friends and family have a safe, welcoming environment to enjoy the sport of shooting.

Absolutely wonderful range. I have nothing bad to say about here. Wonderful owners/staff. Safe and welcoming environment. Very clean and taken care of. 50, 100, 200, 300, 400, 600 yard range is excellent with all benches on the rifle range able to shoot all yards! It is our new go-to spot for my family and I.

Kinda sucks this place is only open weekends during winter. Not sure why it can't be open shoot at your own risk like other places I've seen when they don't want to staff it.

Thank you, Matt Johnson, for the thorough, professional teaching during the beginner’s firearms class. Hunter’s Point is a bit out of the way…don’t trust Google maps or the map app on your iPhone, it’s like Google and Apple don’t want you to find it. I’ll tell you how to get there in a minute. Matt Johnson and Jeremy Williams are highly qualified NRA instructors, providing a SAFE environment to learn about handguns. From classroom instruction to range practice, Matt taught the whole four-hour course with expert knowledge, patience, and humor. Funniest part was the class was all women. We women tend to watch a lot of true crime. Best to be prepared. Easiest way to find it: I90 West to exit 379, left onto 456th Ave (Hwy 19), two miles to 260 Street, turn left, then 1.6 miles and Hunter’s Point is on your left. The other maps will take you on a meandering tour thru narrow hilly gravel roads straight out of a horror movie. I was expecting to have corn fields appear on the sides of the roads with strange religious children with murderous intentions.

Large complex, super friendly staff, awesome experience. Two separate sporting clay ranges, a long rifle range, trap shooting, skeet, everything! We did the sporting clays and had a blast. Highly recommend!

Awesome set up! By far one of the best places to shoot I have ever been. We were visiting family in Sioux Falls so we stopped in here. It's basically in the middle of farm land, a bit outside of town, but worth the drive. Staff was wonderful and super helpful. Facilities are all well cared for. Again, great place to shoot a variety of things.

Visited this place for the first time after hearing about it from friends! Loved loved loved the experience! The pistol range was awesome, the rifle range was very nice and lots of fun. We had a great time on the sporting clay course! And the people were sooo nice! Treated us well and where very accommodating! Will definitely be back!

Whether you are a novice or seasoned shooter this place is for everyone. The rifle range is by far the best long distance range in the tri state area. The two sporting clay courses are challenging and constantly change that keeps interest and builds skills. The new pistol range is helpful for those just wanting to plink or the person practicing proficiency skills. The Chamness family is great at catering to every skill level. Chris and the boys do quite a nice job of keeping things going but if you want to talk to the gal in charge, ask for Brenda. Shes the real boss! A world class facility run by a family with deep South Dakota roots.
