Hurtig Shooting Center & Gun Club

I've shot here a few times and went and shot 150 rounds myself today. Upon checking out I was charged $90 for the time shooting but after walking out to the truck I realized that was more expensive than it should have been so went back in and he apologized and said he wrung it up incorrectly. This wouldn't have been a big deal if this was the first time they had over charged me for shooting, but it wasn't, I had been muscharged only a few trips before, but that isnt even really frustrated me. On the website it says that a round of trap is $12.50 but when he corrected my payment I was charged $14.00 for each round of trap. It's not alot more to pay but when I brought it up the man didn't seem to care and just said that's how much it costs despite recently shooting for only $12.50. I payed my extra $9 and left not wanting to deal with it. And once again I wouldn't be this frustrated if that was all. To pay $14 a round for trap is ridiculous to begin with and if im going to pay that much I expect it to be a good round, but when the thrower is throwing mismatched targets and appears to throw an illegal right acording to the ATA rules it frustrates me to no end. There are many better gun clubs that I would rather give my money to and therfore will not be coming back. I hope they correct these errors for other shooters and would certainly check if you were charged the correct amount.

Highly recommend connecting with Jeff, Get your shoot on. He was an amazing instructor! It was my first time handling a gun and he made me feel comfortable and safe from the start. I already set up another session. CanΓÇÖt wait to get back!

The range recommended Jeff over at Get Your Shoot On Idaho for a pistol class. By far the best shooting experience I've had. Jeff walked me and my brother through tactical shooting drills and wounded wing exercises. He also walked my mom through pistol basics in a way that made her comfortable enough to enjoy the experience. Definitely coming back. (Update: went back three more times.)

Our family of 4 found this range delightful. We shot clays the first visit and then booked a rifle/pistol package through Get Your Shoot On Idaho which operates fron this range. We needed a reservation for the rifle/handgun outing. Well worth the money spent all the way around. A "must do" when visiting Sun Valley.

Outstanding range. Lots of different shooting sports to choose. Clays, Rifle, Pistol plus long range metal targets for the precision rifle shooters. Pistol area has two plate racks, a Texas Star plus stands for your paper targets. Staff is very professional and having a gunsmith on location is a bonus. They rent shotguns and have an excellent group of instructors. They have a couple of businesses that operate from the range. They can provide you with rifles, handguns and instruction. Reservations suggested for these services. The club sells ammo at a very fair price. I can personally attest to the quality of instruction. Chase assisted me in breaking in a new over/under shotgun. I instantly broke more clays than ever before. This club is also affiliated with the NRA and IDPA which is a handgun competition sport. What more could a shooter want?
