I recently attended the Essential Pistol course held at Impact Shooting Center and taught by Shane Cardwell. I found it to be the single best handgun course of instruction I have ever received. Shane Cardwell is obviously a fantastic shooter, but his instructional skills are right up there as well. Tremendous detail was presented on the what, how and why without being dogmatic. I attended as an LEO using a duty rig and felt just welcome and at home as anywhere even though I was among the best shooters IΓÇÖve had the pleasure to witness in person. I knew where I stood going in (needing plenty of help), and I was not disappointed. Shane is a superb teacher and coach - he doesnΓÇÖt just spew information at you, but explains, demonstrates, observes closely, and brings your attention to details you need to be picking up on - and then helps with corrections. This is all done in a friendly and engaging manner. Shane also gives just the right amount of encouragement to keep you motivated to improve. I paid for the class and ammo out of pocket and drove 3.5 hours with an overnight stay to take this two-day course, and it was well worth every bit of the time and money. In fact, itΓÇÖs a ridiculous value for firearms training - highly recommended.

The best range around. I wish I had more time to go, but unfortunately I donΓÇÖt. Anyways, everyone here is great and they have by far the best range in the city. I will always have a membership even if I donΓÇÖt have the time to go as much as I would like.

We got rained out. However, we like IMPACT. It is an outside range that has enough ranges right now with the number of people using the facility. We prefer being outside.

My husband and I took the essential pistol class this past weekend at Impact. What a great experience. Shane, Bryan and Pete did an excellent job with their instruction and tending to each individualΓÇÖs strengths/weaknesses. The knowledge and skill set you leave with is impeccable. Days later IΓÇÖm still running the class through my head and talking my husbands ear off about it. IΓÇÖm eager to go back and continue training with the fundamentals learned. Highly recommend this class for any level shooter. Thank you guys for having us !

Amazing range. Took the Essential Pistol course and it was better than I was hoping for. The instructors were fantastic and took time to work with each student individually. I started the course feeling like I could barely shoot and ended feeling confident with my pistol and being able to draw, fire, and transition between targets while moving. Thanks to everyone for making it an awesome weekend!

Just took Pistol 1 and 2 course this past weekend and let me tell you, this place rocks. Bottom-line, I have no other words for it. All of the instructors and owners of this establishment are amazing people, and offer amazing instruction. The effort and care they put in to their courses and you personally shows how passionate they really are about firearms, and that isnΓÇÖt something you come by a lot. Shoutout to Shane for providing me with this experience and reinvigorating my passion for firearms. Will definitely be looking to get a membership in the short future!

I had my first experience with impact shooting center today at their aiwb class and it was awesome. Shane does an amazing job coaching and teaching the class. A lot of one on one work. The range is one of the nicest and well kept ones I have ever been to, I felt very safe the whole time I was there. I was treated like a member that had been going there for years from the minute I walked in for class and ultimately ended up becoming a member by the end of the day. If youΓÇÖre on the fence about becoming a member somewhere or taking a class there go for it. You wonΓÇÖt be disappointed. 10/10 this was one of the best experiences IΓÇÖve had in a long time.

Great place to train, learn, and meet some great people. I took pistol 1&2 this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. Shane is a great instructor, accompanied by some great assistants as well. Definitely will be taking more classes here.

Best range in the world and one of the few places where I'm the happiest. Shane and Carly are pros at what they do and are always striving to make their place the best it can be. Its the only range in the tri-state you can train with a firearm realistically, while being as safe as possible. Excellent environment and community of shooters. The facility is always clean and ready for its members. Can't wait to take their classes when financially able. Never have enough positive things to say about Impact!

I joined towards the end of 2021 after trying to find a range that is open 7 days a week and allows practicing your draw stroke. The grounds are nice, with a members only keycard gate and lots of room for individuals or groups to train. There are several pistol pits featuring stands for paper targets as well as some steel targets and there is a rifle range with multiple bays. As much as I enjoy the facilities, what makes this place special is the people who run it. I had the privilege to train with Shane, one of the owners and I cannot recommend it highly enough. After observing my draw for a bit at the beginning of the lesson Shane said, "I'm going to get you a sub second draw by the end of the session." After about an hour of drills he proved himself right. More than that he gave me some skills to work on so I could practice on my own to build consistency. If you are in NKY or the greater Cincinnati area I highly recommend scheduling a lesson. You will definitely learn something.

My husband and I took a basic pistol safety/CCW class with Impact and we were truly impressed with the instruction. The couple that led the class (Billy and Angela) were patient, helpful, and professional. It was nice to have the class broken up as a classroom portion and outdoor range portion. We both got a lot out of the class and highly recommended Impact classes.

Wife and I took the CCW course and we loved it. The zoom classroom was good and the range training was amazing. Billy and Angela made sure we were will informed and worked with all of us one on one. Very professionally ran and very safe. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting to get their CCW in Ohio or Kentucky.

Billy and Angela are awesome! They are both very personable and made their conceal carry class much more enjoyable than I had imagined. Their class goes further into detail than other classes offered around the tri state. Carrying a gun is a serious responsibility, and they treat it so. If I could leave a higher rating than five stars I would. IΓÇÖll even be considering more training by them in the future.

I took their CCW course over the weekend, and it was nothing short of amazing. Billy was an awesome instructor on the range, and both him and Angela were great during the zoom portion as well. Will definitely be back for more training in the future, they are the real deal! After taking this course, one can tell they really care about their customers and their safety.

I recently completed a CCW training course through Impact. The whole process was absolutely top notch. Our instructor, Billy was incredibly knowledgeable and well equipped to teach. The facility was very nice and is currently undergoing a major expansion to add even more space to shoot. I came into the class having been around guns and familiar with them but carrying old and bad habits. I was taught in a constructive manner how to be a better shooter and handle a firearm more competently. I will absolutely be back for more training and hopefully will be able to join the range soon as well. If you are looking for CCW training or any other firearm training, there's nowhere else in Cincinnati that's even worth a phone call.

I just finished my ccw class with Carly and Shane and their team. IΓÇÖve heard many stories about ccw classes and many are not so good. My experience at impact was 5 star. The class portion with Carly was well planned informative and didnΓÇÖt feel like I was going to stick a pencil in my eye. The range portion with Shane and his team did not disappoint either. With such a short window they were hands on very helpful and made no one feel intimidated. There knowledge and experience shows. Shane was even funny a few times lol. Again thank you for a great experience. IΓÇÖll will be taking more course come spring.

My husband and I took a concealed carry course yesterday with Shane and Carly and it was an incredible experience! We learned a lot through the online class time we had over Zoom Conference Meetings (due to Covid 19) and were able to ask questions. After the online class was over, we headed to the outdoor range. They have done so much work to the property and it's very inviting and clean. I don't have a lot of experience with guns but wanted to take the class with my husband so I was a little nervous. Shane made my husband and I feel very comfortable and he pointed out things we needed to fix to make our technique better. He was an incredible instructor to have and made sure everyone was following the safety procedures they have for the range. I would recommend doing your concealed carry through them! Those classes can be long and boring but they made it enjoyable and very informative. They definitely know their stuff! Highly recommend!

I took the Advanced Accuracy and Speed course with Shane this past weekend. It was the best handgun course I have ever taken. Shane is an excellent instructor! All of the instructors were great at helping each of the the people in the group to get better, regardless of skill level. ( I was one of the less experienced people in the group.) Shane placed a very high priority on safety, as well as proficiency with my handgun. I learned a lot, and would definitely recommend taking a course with them. I am planning on taking additional courses in the future, and would like for my wife and daughter to take a private class with Carly as well. I was humbled and blessed when Shane and Carly asked me to come teach at their range all year. I truly got to find out they are the most generous and kind people ever! Excellent facility, well kept, and they never settle. Always looking to make their range better, keeping their members happy and bringing in top notch instructors for private classes. Draw from holsters, movement, rapid fire, 5 pistol pits, and a 100yard rifle range. If your in the Cincinnati, Kentucky, Indiana area go check them out! You will not regret it!

The knowledge, expertise, and professionalism from these trainers and range was impeccable. They took their time to explain how and why for protocols and processes with gun safety, loading , carrying and actual shooting of our guns. We went in knowing very little on the proper way utilize our weapons and just after one lesson we feel so much more confident and learned so much. We will definitely be back!

Can't recommend Impact Shooting Center enough! My wife and I took a private CCDW class (which I highly recommend). This experience allowed us to ask a ton of questions that were pertinent to US and the range time met us at our individual skill levels. I can't imagine anyone taking a CCDW in a large classroom setting if this type of experience is available. We will definitely be joining the range as full members and attending additional training there.

These guys are hands down the best range you can be a part of. It is the only range in the area where you can practice actual realistic training for defensive situations. They have multiple pistol pits with steel targets and a rifle range as well. They have a ton of awesome classes and they are actually affordable. Some classes are half days. Also you donΓÇÖt have to be a member to take a class. I would recommend taking any of their classes. You will have fun and learn a ton. I guarantee you will join their range after a class. Shane and Carly who own and run the range teach the classes. They are the reasons you will join. They are encouraging and donΓÇÖt make you feel stupid. They really love teaching and arenΓÇÖt just about the money. They also have the best crew to help them. I canΓÇÖt recommend them and this range enough. Contact them about getting a tour or joining a class. You will not regret it.
