Indian Creek Rifle Range

Q: Allowed to shoot ar15s here?
A: Is this range currently open?
- Virgil Dillon (6 years ago)
A: AR15's are welcomed. Full auto is allowed also. You must be licensed and follow all laws pertaining to that license. I have never seen law enforcement there when I've gone to shoot.
- Stewart Wright (6 years ago)
A: Yes, but I'm not sure about full auto if you have a license. It might just be semi auto.
- Jesse Pitkin (6 years ago)
Q: When is it least crowded to go? Coming from an hour away. Last time every bench was full.
A: Do I pay $5 at entry to the gun range?
- Citizen J (5 years ago)
A: There is a 5 dollar charge for each person
- Robert Lemmon (5 years ago)
Q: Is there law enforcement there for safety?
A: It is a quarter mile away from the Enoree District office and I have seen the Forest Rangers drive into the parking lot. I have also seen the local Sheriff's Department in the parking lot. But is there a regular law enforcement or adminstrative presence there during operational hours? No there absolutely is not. Just the shooters.

Very nice facility but when there were 8 shooters with short range targets. I wanted to shoot at 100 yards and I didnΓÇÖt want to make all of them stop so i could put out a target. Glad itΓÇÖs getting used!

Great outdoor range. People IΓÇÖve encountered are friendly and respectful. But I have gone there and found trash was left behind for someone else to pick up. DonΓÇÖt ruin a good thing. Pick up whatever targets youΓÇÖre shooting at when youΓÇÖre done.

I have enjoyed using this range the last few years, but it has been over run by a couple panhandling for brass to scrap. Most ranges have a good vibe about them, with like minded people trading casings, swapping guns and telling stories, but we had panhandlers walking in front of muzzles trying to gather brass as soon as it exits the gun. It was rude, annoying and unsafe the last 3 outings for me and I had to stop shooting every couple shots to gather my shell casings before they got taken.

Great range, usually not that crowded, itΓÇÖs $5 dollar fee per person, basically based on the honor system, so please make sure you are paying to use it. Bring your own targets and you can shoot anything, so long as you pick up your trash, most recently a local had taken his time to help clean up spent brass on the range keeping it clean. Props to you sir.

Great little range with 6 tables. Though now it's a $5 fee to enter. Not as packed on the weekends like most ranges. Your not allowed to bring random objects anymore other than paper but it's keeps the range nice.

Fully covered outdoor range with well cared for grounds. All the benches are in good condition, and easily spotted instructional signs are posted for safety. Everytime I encounter fellow shooters, they are aware and alert of the surroundings, and never hesitate to pause shooting for those who need to reset targets. I enjoy this place everytime.
