Iredell County FOP #10 Lodge and Range

The new Ststesville outdoor range opened in 24. The team did a great job of carving out ranges from forested land. FOP 10 is a membership group comprising active police officers and 1,500 associate members. The purpose of lodge is to improve your weapons skills, support Iredell County individuals in need, and enable active police training. The rifle range is 499 yards long, and pistol lanes to 50 yards. There's also a shotgun range. There's a monthly associate meeting with dinner to welcome new members and to conduct lodge and range business. Check their website if interested.

Sorry, those people who are not happy. If you had anything to say about this place, you should have been at the public County Commissioner meeting. The range is operating within the regulations, hours & cutoff times for regular members, and for law enforcement, they are later as their work requires this type of training. I am sure if you called law enforcement for a problem you would like to know, they are well trained and safe in operating the firearm in low lighting. For those who wished there was a sound barrier, I'm sure they would let YOU PAY FOR IT for it and have it installed. You know ideal how much this organization has assisted in their community and the western part of the state with all kinds of supplies and fixed food for the workers. We're here for our community! staff are cops so take that as you will. they have been both professional and humanistic as any other place with the caveat they are sharing their space with the public for a very nominal fee. I wish they'd allow aftermarket triggers, etc but I get why the rules exist. the ranges are pretty good with most of the time able to have a space to myself. can't ask for much more. very recommended if you can get the secret handshake and insider knowledge down pat.

If we had all the time in the world, there would be no better place than I would like to be. The men that established and built this place to what it is today on nothing but true American heroes. Always giving, always welcoming and to be quite Frank always fun if you ever had to call someone your brother, any one of these gentlemen would be my pick. These are true American Patriots always treating everyone with kindness and respect just as God would have it

This lodge has no respect for the people that live near this gun range 9:30 at night trying to go to sleep so I can go to work and I've got gun fire coming though my house they are not being good neighbors put up some sound walls

We are a household all for guns but this range is almost a mile away and we still hear ridiculous caliber shots all through out our day starting bright and early at 7 am and going FAR past dark. We would not have purchased this property if we knew and now regret it. Put some respect on law enforcementΓÇÖs name and create a building for the range or muffle the shots. It is absurd and the community does not want this!

I just bought a house going on 3 years now right up the road. It was quiet and peaceful and that is why i bought it but now i just want to move. I dread coming home or going outside because all you hear is shooting. If this lodge cares as much as they say they do they would build a noise wall because this is just ruining living here. I have great neighbors but all of us can't stand the endless noise now. Its after 9 pm and shots just a ringing. Pitch black here which if i did this i would be arrested but because its fop which i will never support again its all ok. Not even our local law enforcement but other counties are here doing it. I just wish the amount of respect you expect us to have for law enforcement was given to us for.just literally trying to sleep.or have a decent day of peace. I can tell you if this was here when i looked at this property i would have not purchased. You say its bringing revenue i am saying loosing out for all the surrounding neighbors. Just build a sound barrier wall but my god give it a break for the working man.

All for 2nd amendment rights and enjoy a range session. But shots starting at 7:15 in the morning and going well past dark is a little ridiculous for surrounding neighbors. We live about a mile away and itΓÇÖs non stop some days. There arenΓÇÖt even posted hours yet this is a business somehow and we have no say?

These are some of the nicest people that I’ve ever met! They have worked very hard and consistently are making improvements to the ranges and everything else! Well worth what we pay to come here and practice shooting, we live in the city limits so we are abiding by the law and PAY to shoot our guns in a legal way!! We are so blessed that this place is here!!!!!!!! Thanks to all of you who work so hard to make this a possibly for us to have 💕

Great ranges..great staff..backing the Blue everyday! Supporting our veterans every day as well. The new facility is fantastic.. I thoroughly enjoy our monthly meetings.. Will be sad to see some step down from their lodge positions but with growth comes change.. Thank you for doing all that you do!

I enjoy my Second Amendment rights, don't get me wrong. However, not at 7 am. If you going to open an outdoor range in a community, respect the community around you. Shooting starts at 7 am and won't stop till sometime after 9 pm. Please respect the community by having a more community-minded range hours.
