For a fearful beginner the instructors put me at ease with their thorough classroom instruction and gun safety rules before we picked up a weapon. They provided several different types of guns for the class to try so we could find something that fit our hand and our strength. I can hardly wait for the next class.

Excellent course! These folks are all that and a bag of chips! Both instructors offer clear concise direction with a huge amount of patience. They were extremely knowledgeable, courteous, kind and I felt completely safe despite being around and handling a deadly weapon for the first time. Their focus is on the safe handling of a firearm for the shooter and for anyone around them. I highly recommend them for any type of firearm course they offer.

Went in there not knowing how to shoot a gun at all and left knowing every part of it. Oz is super helpful, genuine and patient. He made sure to take the time to go over every firearm safety instruction before I used gun. When I got in-front of the gun, he helped me know everything until I was comfortable enough to finally pull the trigger. 10/10 recommend, donΓÇÖt go anywhere else than here!

I have never fired a handgun before taking Oz and KarinΓÇÖs beginning level one class. I received exceptional instruction and became confident and comfortable with my handling of a handgun. I have since taken a private course and a second beginner level one class. It just gets better and better with each class. IΓÇÖve since purchased a handgun with KarinΓÇÿs assistance and am looking forward to many more sessions. They truly understand what it takes for a beginner to learn and provide the necessary tools to help one succeeded. I highly recommend taking a course

Just completed the CCW class. I didnΓÇÖt know what to expect and have to admit was imagining the class being kind of boring and dry. However, I was wrong! Not only was it extremely informative, but Oz and his wife Karin, kept it interesting with several descriptive scenarios they shared mixed with a great sense of humor. In addition, OzΓÇÖs experience in law enforcement brought realism to the course content. I highly recommend this course and will be continuing my gun training with JGT.

I recently completed the CCW class and the level 1 pistol group. The delivery of knowledge and information needed for firearm safety, laws, and how to properly use your firearm wasnΓÇÖt an overload. The instructors were competent, friendly and very patient. A lot of one on one training was involved to help correct form and persistence. I felt a little intimidated prior to attending the class since I am a beginner, but enjoyed it so much that I am signing up for another group class! I highly recommend Johnson Tactical Group for all levels. I learned a lot and now feel more confident. Oz and Karin are so welcoming. Thank you both for an amazing experience!

I had the privilege of taking my first gun safety course yesterday with Karen and Oz. I learned so much in the first 20 minutes then I have in 20 years of shooting definitely worth the time I think every human being should know how to handle their guns properly we watched a seven-year-old handle a rifle with Such great confidence and shooting ability. I cannot wait to go back for my concealed carry permit. Thank you again for bringing this to Cave Creek!

IΓÇÖve been shooting for over 40 years and decided to take the Level l class with my wife. So glad I did because I learned a number of new tricks that will for sure help me to be a better shooter. I have to say I was pretty nervous taking my first gun class, Level 1 Beginner Class with Oz. He put us all at ease right off, but was able to get across the Critical component of Safety at all times when handling a fire arm. The verbal instruction combined with the 'fundamentals of shooting' for 3+ hours had me feeling genuinely more at ease and gave me a desire to practice in order to be able to defend myself and my family. The support of Karin and Bill added to the class greatly. Highly recommend the class! ~ Keren

What a great class! I was about 80% confident in my shooting and handling skills before I took the class but Oz prepped me to be 100%. I am not brand new at shooting and have had some training classes a few years ago, but realized as with anything else, once you are out of practice, it is so easy to forget the basics. I highly recommend Johnson Group Tactical. I have taken a few courses with them at this point, and I learn something new every time and way more comfortable with what I am doing. Their knowledge, experience and training is top notch! Additionally, you can't beat the price.

I just completed my 2nd class, the "dry fire". Guys this one is VERY informational, and worth considering as a FIRST class. Goes thoroughly over proper safety, holding, and other basic form and need-to-know procedures. Great stuff to know before you even get on the range.

IΓÇÖm new to handgun training and shooting in general. IΓÇÖve shot a handful of times at the range and taken a beginner class before. IΓÇÖve been handling my gun a lot lately to try to get the nerves out of using it, but I still find myself getting a bit sweaty when I go to the range. I took two classes with Oz and Karin today and, no hesitation, signed up for another in two weeks. I feel like my confidence when handling my gun doubled after today, and I attribute that directly to the things I was taught and the attention they gave all of us today. The classes are defensive-based, and Oz and Karin focus a lot on gun safety through learning to handle your firearm, not just marksmanship, and I feel like this is key for me. The first class I took with another instructor didnΓÇÖt leave me feeling nearly this confident. DonΓÇÖt get me wrong, I got called out for handling my gun unsafely today. IΓÇÖm not speaking about blind confidence. I plan to continue to train with my firearms in the future, and I have no desire to look any further for another instructor.

I have a fair amount of experience with being a student and as an instructor and being new to the area I thought I'd blow the dust off with a local class. Oz, Karen, and Justin are a great team. Oz's professionalism and patience are top notch! The Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP's) he teaches are as current as anything I'm aware of as well as his ability to teach, demonstrate, observe, and critique his students to become more proficient shooters. Karen and Justin kept everything going on in the background moving along so the students were able to focus on the training and constantly learning without long pauses in between. I'll be signing up for their next class today! Thank JGT!! BTW, they have cool swag, bring money!!

I was someone who was terrified of guns. Could not be in the same room as one, let alone handle an unloaded one. I realized this was unhealthy, so I prayed for instructors with military and law enforcement background to help me disarm my fears. My prayers were answered with Oz and Karin, with their military backgrounds and being a couple, they have complimentary strengths in teaching. I've taken Level 1 Beginners, a private lesson and will continue my education and training. Friendly, relationship focussed and professional. Highly recommended as they offer a variety of classes to suit your level.
