IΓÇÖve been to a lot of gun ranges and firearms dealers, but this place stands out. The staff here really know their stuff. Every time IΓÇÖve had a question or needed guidance, theyΓÇÖre always spot-on with advice and explanations. ItΓÇÖs clear they care about safety, but theyΓÇÖre also genuinely passionate about what they do. Whether youΓÇÖre a first-timer or a seasoned shooter, theyΓÇÖll make sure you get the most out of your time there. ItΓÇÖs rare to find a place where the staff feels as invested in your experience as you are. Also, they have a wide range of firearms to choose from, for both LEO and civilians. Born and raised in Stockton, moved to the Bay Area, but still stop by and spend a couple paychecks when I visit back home.

Horrible Customer Service! Range - 10/10 Gun Store - 0/10 I wish I could leave two separate reviews. The range is amazing, its super clean, climate controlled, and never overpacked. The guys in the range are awesome, they're super helpful and truly care about customer relations and experiences. I visit the range at least once a month and book the VIP room every single time. The gun store on the other hand has horrible customer service. I truly believe the gun store employees are allergic to answering the phone. I have purchased 3 firearms from them and do not think I will be returning to their store. I have had multiple bad customer service experiences with their staff. - getting them to answer the phone is impossible. - private party transfer was refused due to availability, but was told if I purchased a new firearm, they could take care of the paperwork - purchased ammunition online from a third party and used KW as the FFL to ship to. The ammo dealer emailed them multiple times asking for their information, they never received a response. When I called the store, I got an answer after the fifth call and was rushed off of the phone and was told I would get a call once my shipment arrives. I understand that the store can be busy and someone may not be available to answer the phone. But over the past year of being a KW customer, I have called at different hours of the day, I have called multiple times. I have personally seen employees ignore the ringing phone, as they stood there talking to each other. KW Owner/Manager, if you are seeing this. Please talk to your store staff and explain to them what customer service is. Your guys' range is awesome, from the staff, to the experience. But every interaction I have had with your store staff, has felt like I was inconveniencing them. Majority of the time someone calls, it is to ask a simple question, about pricing or available stock. Your staff is too busy to take 30 second call, or even answer and say "hey, we're busy right now, please call us back in "___" amount of time.

Visit this gun range last Friday they were very helpful and help me sight in my red dot very fast for only 10 bucks.. great place not to expensive really enjoyed myself

Small range. They have programs youre able to have the targets move at different ranges automatically. Their store component is nice as well.

Now that IΓÇÖve been to more than a half dozen indoor and outdoor ranges and through about 3000rds, I can say with confidence that they have a great shooting range. I started as a complete beginner here and recommend it for both new and experienced shooters. Both the facilities and staff are top notch.

I was having some trouble with some springs on an AR15 & their gunsmith was incredibly helpful in providing parts & throughout the installation process. He walked me through some of the guns that they have available and is super knowledgeable in general. If youΓÇÖre in the Stockton area, KW is definitely the place the place to go.

My go-to range as a resident in Stockton, CA. Prices are fair and you get an entire hour. It's also never really busy, so you don't have to worry about overcrowding in the lanes. The range officers are very respectful and will offer advice if you ask them. Anything relating to aiming, stance, grip, you name it. As a new handgun owner in California, I always get nervous when performing in front of someone watching, but you'll never have to worry when you're here. You can't get better until you really practice at the real deal. The lanes themselves are air conditioned, so it's wise to layer up because it can get cold, thus affecting your grip, aim, and performance. As for the target size, it's best to bring 23" x 35" paper targets, it will cover the entire area. If you have sensitive eardrums like I do, it's best to double up on ear protection. Wear foam inserts, and then actual ear muffs over them. Overall I would recommend this range if you're wanting to practice, train, or teach any family/friend into the firearms world.

Don't bother going in here to buy a gun these guys hate doing paper work, seems like they don't wanna sell guns much rather spend my time and money else where, plus when we would ask when the firing range would be done they just roll their eyes like we were asking dumbahh questions 🙄

This review is long overdue! KW Defense is a real blessing to our city. I love the range and the store and the staff are super helpful! At the store, I chit chat with Patricia who is always welcoming and telling me what's coming up. Every purchase has come with good insight and advice from the staff. I am a member at the range and let me tell you how cool that is. I can reserve a lane in the App and then check in is super easy. I always leave shooting better than I did when I came. The range officers are always helpful and I've had especially good advice from both Ting and James who got me back 'on target' hehe. I also love that I get to support not just local, but a Veteran owned business. Thank you KW!

It was my first time being there and the staff was great, real nice, real easy instructions to do what you gotta do. I did the shooting range and popped off literally. I had a great time. Definitely a place to let loose and then grip tight on a variety of firearms. Incredible facility and faculty as well as super friendly support and appreciation for our 2nd amendment. Today I shot with my Glock 21 SF, AK-47 VSKA, and Gen 3 Glock 19. My moa is off from time to time but I definitely can grease a bunch of Alphas up to 55ft. I would recommend signing up for their training programs including CCW applications and classes and rental guns you can use! Including the infamous machine gun M249B. Truly a great place to find a deal on guns and practice a very good principle in our free country. Thank me and the gun vendors later. Just shoot first.

Went here with a friend and found the staff super helpful providing some great advice. Kyle who was managing the shooting range was great for providing advice and improving technique. Was very impressed with the range available and found the prices to be super reasonable. Has a great time and some really good results in terms of practicing and improving. Highly recommend and great team.

Walked in with husband and our fresh new licenses. We were super excited to get some information and buy a gun we saw listed in stock on their website. We inquired about it and the gentleman assisting us immediately shut it down and said the website doesnΓÇÖt reflect the same prices they have in store. He said that they have to make the gun CA compliant which is an additional $200 (let it be known the website did say it was already CA compliant). We would have been ok with buying something there but he didnΓÇÖt even recommend anything or give us information on other pieces. Definitely turned us off and will be going elsewhere, which felt like thatΓÇÖs what he wanted anyways.

Went for the first time on my birthday with my wife. This place is the real deal everyone on the staff and I mean everyone are very professional. the owners Son got my new AR up and running with a mgalock device. then we spent some time in the range. It appears the family are former military and it shows. We will be back soon for sure.
