Great indoor archery and gun ranges. Outdoor gun range needs length and updating. Outdoor archery range needs a major update. Workers are great help and easy to get along with.

I frequent this range during the winter months, utilizing their indoor facility. For reference I usually go in the later hours, because I enjoy shooting with less people around. During the late afternoon the experience is quite comfortable and I feel as though I can train as needed with my EDC. For me, being able to work from the holster is highly valuable, and with less people around it feels much more natural to work on those skills. Going during the day, and to a greater extent, on the weekends provides a different experience. Sometimes the volunteers/RSO's can come off a little too harsh. Although I don't have anything to base this off of other than my impressions, you can tell that they prefer more traditional, slow firing range use over modern self defense training. The outdoor range is nice for sighting in with the benches they provide, however they are kind of impractical if you intend to fire from a standing, crouched, or prone position. The RSO's might look at you funny if you do, but I haven't had any issues. The biggest suggestion I could provide for this place would be to maybe offer a way for self-defense focused carbine and handgun shooters to train in a safe and effective way. While I enjoy being able to utilize this range, I would frequent it much more if training was offered. I have been trying to find quality carbine and pistol training for a while now and I believe there is a strong market for quality local instruction. Cheyenne has a very well armed populace. That populace would be much safer, both from accidents, and in self defense if we had a location to receive basic and advanced firearms training. Overall a solid range, I would recommend, however it has some areas I believe they could focus their improvements into.

nice place to shoot. not a 3 gun training facility. if you want to handle your weapons while people are down range checking targets or rapid fire your weapons this is the wrong place to do that. some people reviewing it don't seem to understand this concept. you want to train for shtf you don't go to a public range. ive brought some high end assault weapons out here and gotten some funny looks but thats it.
