Lee Kay Public Shooting Range

Q: Will they site in a muzzleloader?
A: Great question! The sight-in service we offer does provide muzzleloader sight in.
- Lee Kay Public Shooting Range (3 years ago)
Q: Is it possible to have my hub sighted by someone at Lee Kays?
A: Yes there's a guy who will sight in your rifle.
- Brian 88 (7 years ago)
A: Gus and Steve will cite your rifle in I think the cost is $10
- WILLIAM PENTON (7 years ago)
A: It will cost you around $10
- Christopher Kennedy (7 years ago)
A: Yes..go between the 200 -300 yard ranges
- Steven Oscroft (7 years ago)
A: You do pay a fee, but they do a good job. Also, there are instructors there who can teach you how to sight it in yourself. A straight forward and good instructor there is Bob Bauman. I think his card is on their desk. They will give you his info.
- Nicole Starr Bauman, CNI Global (7 years ago)
Q: How much is the enter fee?
A: Hi Sandra, An adult day pass for the Lee Kay Shooting Range is $5 and a youth day pass (15 years and under) is $2.

Q: Why is this place open only 15 hours a week? So frustrating.
A: Thank you for visiting us. We, too, would like to have more hours to offer. As a state facility we have budget constraints which limits our ability to hire more employees. Our staff of volunteers work very hard to help us keep the place open. There are many great benefits to being a volunteer -- one of which is shooting before or after a shift. If you would be interested in helping us provide a safe place for the public to enjoy shooting sports and get some benefits, please visit https://wildlife.utah.gov/lee-kay-volunteer.html

A: Charge more and hire employees and stay open longer PLEASE. I would pay $30 for a day pass, easy. Or $10 an hour.
- Brian Anderson (9 months ago)
A: I believe that most of the people who work there are volunteering so be appreciatetive of the time they donate to us. There are other ranges that may cost a bit more at most any place that sells guns.

Q: At leekay can ur guys sight in rifles at 200 yards if so is there a fee and is there someone there on sat or weekdays
A: I know they do sight in rifles at 100 yards, but I'm not sure about 200. I think it's ten dollars, but it's been a while since I had them do it.

A: Yes. They've done it for me several times.
- Melvin Bodily (5 years ago)
Q: Is there an archery range there? Can I bring my crossbow and my reverse bow to the range?
A: Yes there is. Last I checked I believe it was $5 for a day pass for archery and rifle. Like Eric said, I'd ask them if they have any restrictions on what kind of equipment you can use.
- James Ehlers (6 years ago)
A: Yes there is a 90 yard archery range. Call about crossbow policy.
- Eric St Pierre (6 years ago)
A: I just talked with a very nice staff member there and he said"As far as I know crossbows are legal in Utah" so he said I can bring my crossbow and my own targets!😊👍God bless the United States🇺🇸 ❤Utah! It's awesome! Best state ever!
- Jeime ΓÇ£JemiekenΓÇ¥ Garza (6 years ago)
Q: How long is the rifle range?
A: 100, 200 and 300 yard ranges.
- Eric St Pierre (6 years ago)
A: They have a few different ranges. I think they have 50 yard, 100 yard, and 300 yard. I know for the shorter range you can setup your target at shorter intervals. There is twenty-five yard range, but it may be by appointment?
- Michael Woodward (6 years ago)
Q: Does this range sell targets or do I need to bring my own?
A: It is 5 for a $1 or 25¢ each. You also receive 1 with your entry fee.
- Nicole Starr Bauman, CNI Global (6 years ago)
A: They have plenty for sale
- John Butler (6 years ago)
A: They sell them cheap
- john root (6 years ago)
A: Rabbit Target squirrel targets and traditional targets but no zombie targets or anything like that. You can bring those in from outside if you like
- WILLIAM PENTON (6 years ago)
Q: Can I turn in good unused ammunition at this shooting range?
A: I can take care of it for you.
- Brian 88 (6 years ago)
A: I am not sure if you can turn it in or not,but with the ammo shortage I am sure you would have no problem giving it away to people there.
- keith nelson (2 years ago)
A: Is it Factory loads or reloads
- WILLIAM PENTON (6 years ago)
Q: is it first come first serve? or do you need to reserve time on the rifle range?
A: It is always first come first serve. That said, get there early. The line can get to a very long length.
- Nicole Starr Bauman, CNI Global (6 years ago)

This place is so fun. Trap shooting was a blast, though the sensors struggled to register my voice. It was kind of funny when I would say "pull" several times, nothing would happen. Then I would sigh in frustration and the clay would launch when I wasn't ready. It worked a little better when I growled. My husband and brother had a good laugh about that. It was a great time, though I wish there was another option for launching clays.

First time coming here and the employee at check in was very nice and gave clear direction where to go to shoot. So that employee deserved five stars, but once I got to the range, the volunteer officers were complete opposite. I said it was my first time and he said okay you will have to wait until the fifteen minutes where the range is closed. DidnΓÇÖt state the rule and about the black line when I grabbed a target and he made sneer remarks in the microphone about the line rule. Complete jerk that didnΓÇÖt state the rule about it. I understand gun safety going through the academy so it baffled me with no detail and the comments and I told him I was done and wanted to leave and he told me I couldnΓÇÖt grab my stuff until the range was open for shooting. This man definitely shouldnΓÇÖt be there as a volunteer if he doesnΓÇÖt know how to give clear directions.
