I drove out to zero a rifle. I arrived an hour before closing time, only to be told "we're getting ready to close". I confirmed with the individual that they were "open" until 3, and was still turned down. I'm not a review writer, but hopefully this saves other people from driving out only to be turned away despite posted hours.

Just an update on previous reviews. Membership at the Lewis and Clark Range is $50 per year. That membership entitles you, your spouse and any children under the age of 18 to use the range on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 156 days per year. There is no time limit on your range use. We are open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., closing at 3:00 p.m. during Winter to accommodate the early darkness. If you don't wish to be a member, it does cost $10 per day for each shooter 18 years and over. Come out and look us over!

This is the only out door rifle and pistol range within about a hundred mile radius of Lewiston. They are open Friday, Saturday, and Sundays except for major holidays. They have a rifle range that goes out to 500 meters and just adjacent there is a pistol range out to 100 yds. It's run by a non-profit club and the Range Officers are not paid. No sales pitch for ammo, guns, etc. No food either. Shooting fees are around ten bucks per head. Safety is a really big deal with them so the shooting and target change time periods are supervised. It's a good place to shoot. OBTW there is an indoor range the fifteen miles back to Lewiston. It's pretty good place to too but a little pricey. Diamondback Shooting Range on Main St.
