Linden Gun Range

Q: Can you Bring in your own rifles? what's the longest distance on the Range? what type of ammo are you allowed? Do they have classes to teach you how to well use particular equipment?
A: Yes you can bring your own equipment. They do not offer rentals. The longest range is 200 yds. You must first qualify at the 100 yd range to be allowed to use the 200. I am not aware of ammo restrictions. They offer a variety of classes, hand gun, low light shooting, and others. The class info is posted at the range office, or you can find it online.

Q: How old do you have to be to fire a gun?

For questions about your firearms, equipment, and/or age restrictions, please visit https://oag.ca.gov/firearms. Q: Is it true that an RSO has to walk you from your vehicle to the range and back for any and all guns you bring?
A: Hi Syder, No that is not true. Firearms must be in a case. If you watch our LGR Range Safety video (which is required for first time patrons), you will see our standard operating procedures. You can locate that by clicking the yellow button on our home page. All your questions should be answered there. If they are not, feel free to give us a call. Thank you for your inquiry!

Q: Will a Range Bag work instead of a case?
A: I am assuming you are asking about a range bag that is fully enclosed and lockable, and for a handgun? CA law states all handguns must be in a locked case for transporting in a vehicle. If this is what you are asking about this will be acceptable here also. Paul

Nice for zeroing at distance. Didn't love having to watch a 45 minute 'safety video' which was mostly just an ad for the range and all of their services. You give up over an hour of your free time just to check as a first timer.

Had a private basic gun class. Glenn was a great teacher. Went at my pace. Taught me some easier ways to handle my gun. Was very helpful in explaining my shooting to the left and why I was doing that. My first class , first time shooting. I feel more relaxed handling my gun now. Will be back for more classes. Thanks Glenn. 20 ********

Won a raffle basket at my son's water polo event for LGR and spoke with Glenn the Instructor there at LGR about taking a fundamental handgun class. Well, Saturday we went and it was the best father and son bonding experience. Glenn was knowledgeable and made sure we felt safe and comfortable. From the time we checked in at the front office to when we left the grounds it was an amazing experience.

Friendly atmosphere. People are great as long as you follow the rules. They have shooting instruction and CCW classes taught there with very knowledgeable instructors. Clean facilities. Bring a lunch if you stay all day, they don't have food to purchase.

The best place to take your father-in-law whom you hate. IΓÇÖve gone to ranges all the way from Sacramento to Tracy and IΓÇÖve been training with my father whoΓÇÖs a police officer since I became 21. I have my CCW license and throughout the whole process, I was treated like an aggressive sexual assaulting felon, obviously exaggerating. While walking to the range I was advised by the range officer to ΓÇ£Not unholster or else he would have to take out his weapon alsoΓÇ¥, the issue was the fact that I never showed the intention of even unholstering without his permission. The cherry on top was paying for the tape to hang our targets which costed $6 and then getting to the range and being given a stapler to use for free. It also doesnΓÇÖt help when the range officer is breathing on your neck instead of making the range feel like a place to enjoy and learn safely. Linden Gun Range will obviously reply and claim that im exaggerating or lying, and I canΓÇÖt blame them because any person/company will try their hardest to silence someone who points out their defects.

Been here a few times over the years and I have always had a great experience. Posting the morning of 2/11/2024. Came to the range to zero my pistol sight and had a great time - wish I would have brought more ammo. Friendly, helpful, professional staff - great perks for members and good prices for the public. Front desk is quick to get you checked in and always happy to have a quick chat. RSOs are friendly, safety minded, approachable, and always on hand for questions without being overbearing on shooters. The range is clean with plenty of space. If coming when there's a hot sun, make sure to wear sunscreen as there is not much overhead cover. Sunglasses are great here too. A great place to practice marksmanship - will continue to be a member for years to come. Haven't taken any of the classes, but looking to get into that this year. Thanks LGR!

Excellent outdoor gun range! Very friendly staff in the office and knowledgeable staff outside. I was there this past weekend attending Mr. Duncan CCW class. He is the guy to go to for your CCW class. He and his assistant Eloy and Carlos are very serious about Safety and very knowledgeable and friendly. Please reach out to First Response if you need to get a hold of them. And go to this range if you like to be outside.

To be honest, before my son and I ever even set foot on the ground at LGR, if you would have asked me what I thought our first time trying it out would be like, my answer most definitely would not have included anything worth repeating and it certainly would not have included me writing a 5 star review. Needless to say, our past experiences at a range in the area we live, had really never been good. Today changed all that. From the moment my son and I walked into the office area/food and beverage area/ sign in sheet area, we were met with smiles and kindness from the two ladies that were holding down the fort, and I am sorry I didn't get their names, my loss. When we arrived at the 25 yard pistol range, all of my doubts disappeared. The guy with the vest, was exactly the opposite of what I had witnessed at the other gun range in my own city. This guy helped make our time there rewarding, informational, fun and safe. I made sure to get his name, because even at my age and no matter what we think we know, there is always more to learn. Thomas is the kind of guy you can only hope you live next door too. He is a great example of what a leader looks like. He also practices what he teaches. He and the two ladies were really such a large part, the most important part of why we had a great experience today at the Linden Gun Range. Maybe it was just a regular day to them, but because they were part of ours, they helped us to have a whole new outlook, when it comes time to go to the range.

Great ranges 7, 15, 25, 50, 100 yards. 200 yards open on occasions. They offer memberships, classes, host events. The range officers are very helpful with whatever questions you may have.
