Found Bean offered private lesson for Sporting Clay shooting. Booked 11/2 hour session. Great set up for about any target you will encounter. Instructor Peyton, a clay shooter himself, was great and knows the sport. I have taken lessons from others but Peyton zeroed in on my mount as Trap shooting is different from Sporting clays. He observed and asked me to try a different mount while showing me an watching me. Thar was the "AH HAA" moment. Class was exceptional.

The whole family did the beginner archery course. It was awesome! The best part was that we saw noticeable improvement after following the instructor's tips.

We did the free clay target class available on Mondays and Wednesdays booked ahead of time. My 19 and 18 year old daughters had a great time and learned a lot. The instructors were patient and careful making sure everything was safe and everyone had a good experience.

A great way to spend a couple of hours. I took my son and nephew and we had a great time learning and shooting archery. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Great Clay Pigeon Course. Open to the public Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday 2-5pm. Course changes for every session. ItΓÇÖs both welcoming and challenging for people of all experience levels. No experience? Sign up for a discovery class, one, three, and six hour classes available. Safe, comprehensive and easy to follow. Highly recommended for anyone interested in clay shooting sports or just looking to improve their hunting skills. LL Bean has a very good thing happening here, with a great group of people running the classes and public events.

My husband enjoyed his time learning about fly fishing as it has been something he's been interested in for a while. Although it was raining, he still had a great time and learned a lot.

I took the LL Bean 2-day Fly Fishing Immersion Course in Freeport, Maine this past April with two friends. It was fantastic! Chris Coffin and Jeff Ireland were the instructors and they were both energetic, inspirational, supportive, and very effective trainers. This comprehensive course provided us with everything needed to get started, improve, be courteous and mindful of others as well as the environment, and have safe fun as effective fly fishers. The two-day course covered everything from equipment selection and care, to fly fishing etiquette, to equipment assembly and setup, to fly fishing techniques with an emphasis on safety, casting, and locating fish; to knot tying and fly tying, to reading the water and wading safely. There were numerous opportunities to practice and develop our fly fishing skills and Chris and Jeff were very good at ensuring everyone got the individual attention and support they needed to be successful. The entire weekend was very well organized and the learning experience was fun, effective, and efficient. It would have taken me years to learn and achieve what the course provided if I'd tried to learn this art on my own. Everyone reflected on how great the course was and how enjoyable the experience was. I whole-heartedly recommend this course to anyone starting out in their fly fishing adventure. Special THANKS to Chris and Jeff for a very engaging and invaluable weekend!

Had Peyton and Molly as instructors for the skeet shooting. They were excellent, knowledgeable, and safe. Would highly recommend for experts and novices

Had a great time clay pidgeon shooting! They let us shoot guns that were worth well over $3000 and I missed almost every shot...but who cares when there is guns and clay smashing involved.
