If you live any where near or around southeast texas and you have not used these guys to build you a custom rifle.... Then you're really doing yourself a disservice. I'm not talking about a Lego ar-15... Which they do those too... But I'm talking about a true custom precision target or hunting rifle that will show that their standard is perfection and quality come first... These rifles are more than just things that go bang... These are works of art that will be past down for generations.... I ABSOLUTELY love these guys... The machining, hand fitting, constant clear communication, and just overall quality is second to none... Also a big shout out to Mrs priest... She is the lady of the shop... A square business no B.S. Lady who has always been fair and upfront and 100% professional with me every time I've been in there... Please go check them out and see about a custom rifle

My son and I have been going to this range regularly for about a year. We have been welcomed by name after about the second visit and always treated with respect. I have brought my daughter with us a couple of times and, after trying a handful of locations, she now insists that "the place with the dog" is the only range we go to if she is with us. We love Lone Star.

Looked at me as if it was the 1800's. They kept they're eyes on me as if i was gonna steal something (im mixed btw predominantly white tho). It was very uncomfortable so i made a quick browse and got out and always had the feeling to never go back

Store illegally asks for tax stamp information from patrons in order to use NFA items. You either insecurely send an email of your stamp, or you don't use their range (which is illegal). You are not required to show this information to anyone unless they are with the BATFE. Take your business elsewhere.

I've been going to Lone Star for 9 years. I've bought guns, ammo, and accessories from them, and have shot in every lane they have. Today, I brought two first-time shooters to practice with a Ruger LC9s. We bought a box of Ammo Inc. factory reloads from the range for a whopping $28. I'd never seen this brand before, but they insisted it was good quality, so I trusted them. The 27th round was a squib, and the bullet lodged in the barrel. I refused to continue using the Ammo Inc. and asked if they were willing to refund the box. They gave me the "we're a small business, can't afford to give refunds on ammo sales". I was advised to get a replacement box from Ammo Inc., which I obviously didn't want. Before I left, the owner made it a point to tell me that "we've never had an issue with this ammo, besides today", as if it were my fault they sold me a squib. Lone Star is willing to sell you ammo that could kill you and other shooters, and they're willing to price gouge all the while. They seem to feel this is okay because everyone has to sign an arbitrary liability waiver. I hope they spend our last $60 wisely, like maybe on a reputable ammo brand.

If you're a gun enthusiast. Or need training for self defense, practice, or real world scenarios. Avoid this place. They don't have any type of program for you to practice drawing and mag dumping which is what you'll likely do in a real self defence scenario. Also they don't allow AR pistols or anything else of that nature. You have to waiting too long before you can shoot the next round. They are picky about what you shoot there. You should be able to shoot whatever you want. But they most likely reload your casing and or sell them. I much rather go to the ratchet range dirty Harry's. Its messy but i always enjoy going there even if its got or cold. The ole man doesn't bother you as long as you're being responsible and he has been helpful fixing any of our builds.

The staff was very professional and helpful. Had two older rifles that I was checking out. Both had issues. Did an assessment and honestly told me one was worn out and would cost me too much. They will fix the other at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff. Great selection of ammo. The 9mm I bought was $27.99, fair for a gun range. But was not able shoot my "Russian" ammo. Monarch brand... No head shots, not that their targets have heads. No double tap. No rapid fire. Must wait minimum 3-5 seconds between shots. I also got ammo for a friend, but was limited to what I could buy because I wasn't shooting those there.

I have known Lone Star for almost 20 years directly or indirectly. I never had business with them till...yesterday. I had John came to our house to help with something. He has gone extra mile to help us. His wife was also in constant communication with us during this procedure. They are awesome people. My wife was impressed with the way, they made the process so clean and efficient. We love them and hope to shoot in their range! Dr. Indupalli and Ponna
