Los Alamos Sportsmen's Club

This is a private club. It has some of the best facilities around. Five pistol bays two with steel plate setups one that's a full 60 yd. The others are 40. 300 yd rifle range with a steel falling Target at 300 that self resets. The only bunker trap /olympic trap facility in the state. There are numerous competitions throughout the weekend on weekends that are open to the public. You need to go to la-sc.org and check the public calendar.

Very nice range with indoor and outdoor facilities. Automatic Clay throwers and lots of space to spread out

Only game in town..... I was fortunate to have had a friend take me. Great little indoor range with everything you could want. . Outdoor range is also very nice, but it was raining the day we went. I used to shoot at the archery range about 100 years ago......from what I saw, it hasn't changed except more modern targets. If course, 100 years ago all we had for targets were Rocks

You don't need to be a member of the NRA to join. I'd come here more, but it's super cold down there during the winter. Indoor range is awesome!

As a current member of the club, I want correct an incorrect statement made by Eric Battle. You DO NOT need to be a member of NRA to join. As for other parts, it is correct that Rifle range only goes out to 300 yards. However, the club offers indoor pistol range, multiple outdoor pistol bay with moving targets, archery, regular trap range, skeet (5-stand anyone?), bunker/Olympic trap (only one in NM as I've been told).

Eric Battle is incorrect in his statement that you must be an NRA member to join the LASC. i know because I've been an LASC member for nearly 20 years, and I was the Membership Secretary for 3 of those.
