I love the location. I feel like IΓÇÖm in a forest but I can still see the forest from the trees! This is an ideal place for shooting even though it was very cold the day I was there. The range masters did their job well and every shooter complied with their commands. I never felt unsafe there, and I didnΓÇÖt see sketchy looking people as IΓÇÖve seen in other ranges.

By far the best gun range in the Bay Area. The staff showed great sportsmanship and led by example. My friend introduced me to this place, even though it was not the best temperature I couldnΓÇÖt say no to enjoy what I love. And for the first timers you are required to take a short test basically regarding range safety. After that they will provide you with a small business card like for you to fill out your name, date and signature so you no longer have to take the test ever again. Definitely will be back!

By farrr the best gun club I have been to. The staff are all super dope and lenient. Prices are amazing, even the drive up to the range in itself is the best. Make sure you visit here you wonΓÇÖt regret it. PS they allow rapid fire on semi autos!!

They raised the price to $35 That's NOT reasonable at all The Santa Clara public range on MetCalf is still $15 and they are open everyday! Big difference!! They gonna lose a lot of customers for sure

This is a very unfriendly place. Every safety officer at the shooting range seems to be full of anger. It seems that their volume has only one setting, which is yelling. I have to take an exam when I come to this shooting range for the first time. Are you sure you are not kidding? This is equivalent to prohibiting all people who are not good at English from enjoying shooting. This is too outrageous. Maybe you are from the Philippines or Thailand, and you are an excellent shooter or a shooting enthusiast in your country, but you cannot come to this shooting range to shoot just because of the language barrier because you cannot understand the test paper. Moreover, they prohibit any form of education, even if they are your friends or family. Basically, you either know how to shoot or don't shoot here, but you cannot teach others. and If the time between each shot is a little short, they will yell at you. I strongly suspect that they have a tendency to racial discrimination. They will stare at every Asian face and find all kinds of problems with you. They want money for everything. They sell targets but they don't provide pushpins or staplers or any other kind of target fixing supplies. You need to buy or rent staplers, If you need a spotting scope, you need your driver's license and money to rent one. Although they are the most expensive range in Northern California, they are the range with the least services. All the ranges I have been to except this range provide target fixing supplies. And their ceasefire is too frequent and it takes at least 15 minutes or even longer to end the ceasefire. This is my third time and it will be my last time. The main reasons why I will never come again are: the most expensive/the most unfriendly/everything costs money. I have more and better ranges. Why should I come here to be discriminated and yelled at? I spend the most expensive admission fee to experience the worst range. I'm not a masochist. I don't enjoy being yelled at and discriminated against by them, so I will never come back. I also hope they close down soon. If the city or county wants to close them permanently next time, I will definitely vote yes. This place does not deserve to continue to exist. These are some great ranges: Sunnyvale Rod and Gun club / Field Sport Park / Livermore Pleasanton Rod and Gun Club / Guns, Fishing & Other Stuff / Reed's You deserve better for your money.

If youΓÇÖre a new shooter or an experience shooter, this place is for you. This is the best range in the greater bay area that is outdoors. IΓÇÖve included some tips for a visiting this place below if youΓÇÖre interested. The ultra friendly staff, the well-maintained, shooting range, and the beautiful area make this place worth visiting over others. I had a great time coming here this weekend, and IΓÇÖve never had a bad experience here. Here are some short tips for visiting: -Bring your own firearm they do not offer rentals. You can purchase ammunition, but you must shoot what you buy. -Dress warm. ItΓÇÖs often 15┬░ colder at the range than it is down in the bay area. -If youΓÇÖre learning and you wanna lower stress environment, I recommend coming here on a weekday. I came here on a day off and had almost the entire entire range to myself. The range was super friendly and helped me out the whole time. -Plan to take a short firearm safety test. ItΓÇÖs very brief, but just make sure you know the rules of the range. -If youΓÇÖre gonna be here for a bit, bring food and water. The range is very close to parking and you could probably eat in your car if you get hungry. -cell phone service isnΓÇÖt the greatest up here so plan for that. ΓÇöΓÇö- I canΓÇÖt stress enough how awesome the staff is here. The range master, Stuart Strickland, sat with me the entire time and helped me adjust my rifle. Granted, it was very quiet and no one was there. But the friendly demeanor of him and everyone else that I met that day will ensure that I come back here every single time even if I have to drive much further. This shooting range gives off a pleasant vibe and is one that you could probably feel comfortable bringing your family to. The staff is very understanding and made me feel ultra welcome. If you are a first time shooter or an experienced veteran, this is the best place to go. YouΓÇÖll feel comfortable, youΓÇÖll have a great range, and youΓÇÖll feel safe the entire time. Absolutely recommended.

Enjoyed another fine day at the range. Staff was a pleasure range super clean and safe. Have been coming here around 35 years always a good time and just getting better. A lot of hard work goes into keeping this range maintained to this high standard and it shows. Happy employees up to date equipment always improving the shooters experience. Look forward to my next trip.

Prob my new favorite place to shoot. The range officers are super nice and you could pretty much shoot any caliber. I brought 9mm, 22, 556 and 762. All were fair game but there was a separate pistol range which gets a little crowded in Sundays. Super cool that you can pay for the whole day get lunch and come back. Pretty much just a good place to relax. We pulled out some cigars which I donΓÇÖt think was against the rules. Or at keast, the range officers didnΓÇÖt seem to mind

This place has all the makings of everyone's favorite range. Sadly, the range employees (not all of them) seem to believe it's acceptable to shout at and berate customers to the point where, on two different occasions, I've watched people leave in horror after being screamed at by an overzealous ranger guy. (I can't tell, but I think it's mainly one crazed guy who works there.) I've had it happen to me a couple times, too. Once in front of my son when a range employee completely lost it b/c I'd positioned a plastic bottle on the 'Tin Can' range (which used to be okay). This guy was yelling at me so loudly, asking me rhetorical questions, because I tried to line up a plastic bottle, that fellow shooters ceased fire. He was not amused when I pointed out that no one on the "Tin Can" range was shooting tin cans, they were technically shooting aluminum and that if we're getting technical, "tin" and "aluminum" are two very different elements. The dude looked like he was about to blow a gasket. After that, he stood behind me like a drill sergeant and pointed out every little thing he didn't like me doing, like standing too close to the yellow line during cease fire. It's a big bummer because I'd love to call this spot my go-to range. Hopefully someday they'll figure out that you can be safe AND enjoy shooting at the same time. Until then, unless you have a high tolerance for public ridicule, I'd go elsewhere.

Get your safety card and the rest is easy! Listen to the tower and the crew and there will be no issues! Good benches and target frames with ammo purchasable on-site. Other shooters have been awesome with good stories!

Always a good time here I've been here now 5 times and I've brought every firearm I own and lots of friends. The staff are super friendly and have eagle eyes on everyone for safety sake. I always feel welcomed by the staff and they always give unexperienced shooters great instructions and tips. The top of the mountain is beautiful.

Nice location and reasonable prices. Great place to shoot pistols, rifle, and shotguns. Usually you can have a good time. You get the occasional Barney Fife range masters that think they know something about gun safety.

Great place to spend a day shooting. Friendly staff, lots of space, and a quick open pamphlet test to ensure everyone is following the same rules. (Card is issued so can be presented next time to avoid repeating test).
