Lotus Gunworks

I recently visited Lotus Gunworks with my dad and brother, and what started as an exciting trip to test out two newly purchased firearms turned into a disappointing experience. The three of us are seasoned gun owners with plenty of range time under our belts at various facilities. We take range safety seriously and always follow the rules to a T, so we were blindsided by what happened. After heading into the range, the monitor abruptly stopped us mid-session, accusing us of shooting the top of the hanger that holds the target. His ΓÇ£evidenceΓÇ¥? A white smudge on the hangerΓÇöfeet above where our target was hanging. We explained that thereΓÇÖs no way we hit the hanger, given our experience and the fact that we were aiming at a target well below it. But the range monitor wasnΓÇÖt interested in hearing us out. He shut us down on the spot, and sent us packing. No warning, no discussionΓÇöjust an immediate boot. He claimed he kept a meticulous inventory of every range stall after a shooter leaves, implying he knew the smudge wasnΓÇÖt there before we started. Yet we watched this same guy repeatedly wander out into the store to chat with other staff, hardly the behavior of someone diligently monitoring stalls. This wasnΓÇÖt our first visit eitherΓÇöweΓÇÖd been there the week prior with the same monitor and had zero issues. The range rules at Lotus Gunworks seem to depend more on the whims of their arrogant staff than any consistent standard. Save your money and your timeΓÇögo anywhere else. PS: And to anyone from Lotus who might respond with something like, ΓÇ£This shows we take range safety seriouslyΓÇ¥ΓÇödonΓÇÖt buy it. This wasnΓÇÖt about safety. This was an arrogant range monitor scapegoating rule-abiding gun owners for something we didnΓÇÖt do. If theyΓÇÖre so serious about safety, why not address it with a warning or a conversation instead of an instant shutdown? Hope the people who used your stall before you took good care of it, because if thereΓÇÖs a random smudge or mark, you might be the next one kicked out for no reason.

Never again will I give this company a dime, let alone step into their location. Ridiculous prices and unhelpful staff. If you aren't ready to buy right then and there, they treat you like a burden. Doesn't help when someone is coming in with no firearms knowledge. The range is another issue. The cost to rent a lane is insane. 20 dollars an hour just for the range fee. The RSOs they hire are rent-a-cops on a power trip. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.

I have been to gun ranges from Maine all the way down here to Florida and although theyΓÇÖre all different this one has to be the most comfortable feeling place I have been to. EveryoneΓÇÖs a professional. Leave your ego at the door. ThatΓÇÖs all I can say. The staff is professional and know what theyΓÇÖre doing. If you have a question, they canΓÇÖt answer they all brainstorm to get you results. I definitely recommend this shooting range.

Bs range and rules lady manager was a joke. Brought a new weapon to the range and was sighting in a new laser and she stopped me saying it was a distraction to other shooters.

This is the second lesson my friend and I have taken from Kaylee, she's awesome, a fabulous instructor regarding safety and technique as well as being kind and caring. She helps make something that can be stressful for beginners fun 😊 thank you

I never have a bad experience at Lotus. I purchased my first firearm at this location and was assisted by Rob who took the time to explain any questions or concerns I had. This was beginning of 2024. Yesterday I took their CWP class and had another wonderful experience with the instructor, Rodney. I look forward to taking more classes offered at Lotus. I have and will continue to recommend Lotus to friends & family.

You can't rent a lane for 1/2 hour now, it's 1 hour minimum, be aware before you go. One lane for one hour for two people is 30 bucks. That means you've got to have LOTS of ammo and be able to hold up a gun for a long time. We won't be patronizing the place any more. Good bye Lotus..!!!

Max was great, treated me with nothing but respect. I truly donΓÇÖt understand why Kaylee or any of the range staff talk down on the kid, completely unprofessional and disgusting. After meeting Max for the first time today, he is very knowledgeable and was a lot of help and brings a lot to the table. ItΓÇÖs workers like Max that keep people coming. ItΓÇÖs unbelievable how you can tell they over work him itΓÇÖs disgusting.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO HERE!!! I went into lotus gun works looking to purchase a 38 special revolver. After meeting with the salesperson, I realized that all she really wanted to do was sell me, as I explained to her what I intended to purchase, she attempted to sell me a revolver that shot shotgun shells. I've never owned a gun in my life all I was looking for was something for self-defense at home not some stuff you see in the movies. She pitched me like a used car salesman, it was insulting. Any questions or concerns that I had about anything at any time she steamrolled right over, more concerned with the sale! Making it to that circular desk in the middle of the room to complete the sale, I was meant by some sort of manager who treated me like just another number at first, I will say that he did take time at the end of the purchase to answer questions that I had and I do appreciate that, with that being said my paperwork was complete I turned in the background check both him and I proofread it, and everything was fine, but.... When I return to pick up the firearm somehow my birthplace changed from a Massachusetts town to a town that doesn't even exist in Maine and I was unable to pick it up. A week earlier I picked up a firearm from another store with no problems and I have the receipts to back it up and I can show that. Thankfully I'll get my money back, and I will never do business with them again. The overall experience was a failure on their part. If you are our first time gun owner or buyer I do not recommend this place, although they do have a firing range and they do teach courses on weapons and I can't speak to that. Buy local if you are considering traveling to this place. If you have questions and concerns about firearms because you have apprehension because you never owned one. DON'T GO TO LOTUS!! THEY JUST WANT TO SELL YOU!

I drove from Palm Bay and had a great time. I had an excellent experience for the first time at your shop. The shop was very well stocked and had a lot to choose from. All of the staff was very courteous and professional. Hat off to Stacey; she was very knowledgeable and helped me with my shooting skills. I will be back!!!
