My wife and I just finished a first-time handgun lesson. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our instructor, Jesse, was so patient answering the slew of questions we had as well as filling us in on all the info we didnΓÇÖt know to ask. It was great!

This was so much fun. The atmosphere is relaxed and a GREAT experience. I canΓÇÖt wait to go back!! This was an extra special day for me. I told them I was celebrating 18 years clean and sober and had it in my list of things i wanted to do this year!! They were so sweet and made make it one of the best celebration dates IΓÇÖve had!!!! I very much enjoyed it. I will definitely be back with some of my colleagues for decompressing and self care. What a better way to spend an afternoon Thank yΓÇÖall for the opportunity to meet talk and have a blast

Great facility. Called to schedule a 1:1 for my wife and I at 2pm. Jesse was able to have us trained and confident in the range by 5pm same day! Great prices and Jesse and Dustin both are phenomenal to work with. Very easy going atmosphere and a great place for shooters of all skill level!

Machine Gun Grotto was awesome!! The staff were super friendly, professional, and just really great!!! We have been to gun ranges before but never had the opportunity to shoot an Yuzi. It was so awesome!! I would highly recommend putting Machine Gun Grotto on your list of things to do when you go to Hot Springs, AK. This place was such a fun surprise addition to activities on our stay in Hot Springs. We had a blast shooting the Yuzi and the Glock. Having personal instruction added to our experience. The time w the instructor to make sure we were doing it all correctly made us feel confident and comfortable with handling the guns. CanΓÇÖt say enough about how much fun this experience was!! We will be back when we travel to Hot Springs! Maybe even come back just to come here!

From the moment we walked in the door, this was a great experience! The staff was super helpful and friendly! They provided us the education that we needed without hesitation! This was a great time and would recommend to anyone that is interested in shooting guns

A friend hosted a birthday party there, all the guests were able to shoot multiple fully automatic weapons, it was an exciting night.

The owners and staff at Machine Gun Grotto are knowledgeable and patient. I had not fired a weapon in over 20 years, and then it was a revolver. The classes they offer are informative, but best of all they are hands on. And because you can rent firearms while there to see what best suits you - I was able to find a weapon that I can confidently handle with some degree of accuracy. Going there to practice is increasing my comfort and proficiency with my new firearm. Thanks Machine Gun Grotto!

If you like employees power tripping on customers while being armed to the teeth this may be your vibe. At every opportunity, they engaged in some kind of weird passive aggressive "muscle measuring contest". They even yelled at me once because I walked into the building and didn't immediately approach them. I know the rules and was not as they may have suspected gong to try and enter the gallery without a supervisor, I was just talking to a friend who happened to be sitting on the chairs they place as a waiting lobby in front of the Gallery doors. Beside this weirdly insecure attitude towards customers, They are generally too restrictive, they treat everyone like they are a child on their first trip the range. Fine, if it is in fact your first trip, but if you're a trained shooter wanting to put lead down range after a 12 hour day it is off-putting. They insist customers be supervised in the gallery and have this weird ritual where they ask customers to stop mid-session and watch strangers who rented fully automatic weapons fire their rented weapons. Cool the first time or so.... but grating if you're trying to fit range time into a busy schedule.

My wife and I are considering a home defense weapon, but donΓÇÖt know very much about firearms. A friend brought us to Machine Gun Grotto and we learned a great deal about the types of handguns which would work for us, gun components and maintenance, range safety, and how to shoot. The owners were very helpful as was the range safety officer. When we return home to Texas, weΓÇÖll build on what we learned at Machine Gun Grotto and start taking classes. We highly recommend Machine Gun Grotto for both beginners and experienced shooters alike!

*****EDIT***** TO THE OWNER: In response to your comment, I’m glad you pride yourself on knowing publicly available Information…. You can justify to your scam operation all you want, it’s your business… To renew a Arkansas CHCL, all you need to do is fill out the application on the website, and do a renewal shoot offered by a certified instructor. There are requirements to listed on the states website that spells it out for you. NOW to all of the actual responsible ccw holders myself included. Part of YOUR Responsibility as a ccw holder is to know all applicable laws and regulations regarding your licenses. IF you have to pay someone to spoon feed you information regarding your license and laws that affect it you shouldn’t have one. I promise you I know the states laws regarding CHCL licenses and know them better than the instructors at this facility. The classes where they “teach” information YOU should already know it is around $100. You don’t need to waste your time or your money when you can go other places and do a renewal shoot for 35 bucks save yourself the hassle and money. The bare minimum for holding a license is knowing all laws applicable to having said licenses and keeping up to date on any and all new regulations regarding that. Which is publicly available information. It’s not a secret… But hey me doing the bare minimum in your eyes obviously shows how you think of people you don’t know. I hope you don’t treat everyone you DONT know like that seems like YOUR going to get yourself into trouble. The reason you don’t “do it that way” is because you try to make responsible adults who should know what they are getting themselves into. Thinking they need to take YOUR class charging rates for a first time CHCL holder class rate for a renewal. That’s dishonest and a scam. Knowledge is power know the laws and what is actually required so you don’t waste money on these clowns. Does not do ccw renewal shoots. Wants to make you think you need to retake a class to renew your ccw. Just a money grab. Don’t come here for renewals you’re better off going to the gun cave.

The Grotto is a great place to shoot. The building is functionally set up well. Shooting lessons are given with patience and skill. The owner, Tanya, and the RSO, Jesse, work to provide the safest experience with as much fun as you can muster! Great for women just starting out to men with a life time of experience.

This was an amazing experience and lot of us were first timers and having lot of questions, but staff handled very patiently and Manager was an excellent lady. They accommodated our large group and they made sure that we leave happy. I will strongly recommend and will definitely visit again

Excellent, well run indoor range, with all needs, and and services. Went as a guest of a friend. I have Been shooting all of my life. The Range officer for the day was Jessie, a retired army veteran, who did an excellent job. It was great experience. I have over 60 years of military, and law enforcement firearm experience, and I felt right at home. ! I recommend this range to anyone interested in firearms!.
