If I could rate higher I would. Best public range North of Dallas. The old leather neck and Army vet that work there are beyond helpful and really nice. It's not like quail creek with the grumpy range master. $20 to shoot all day and FMJ is fine. Please come support this place so they can stay around for several more years.

One of the best private ranges. I would recommend it to my friends. Edit: my genuine condolences to the family of the owner, who, as I was told, passed away. I wish all the best to the new guys who handle the business. Thank you for making the range open!

Good Heartland Americans own and operate Lou's. Just know what you're firing and be quite sure to explicitly follow all range safety rules... which by the way every operator must know and rigidly adhere to. Show RESPECT for others and their property. Do this and you'll love this range. Jitterbugs are not welcomed here. The few negative reviews here seem subjective at least with a couple of others less than that. Some of it is likely from those who for one reason or another seem entitled and generally symptomatic of an atmosphere symptomatic of having far too many demo-marxists in the DFW area pending ejection. Those of you familiar with this range and the good people who run it like Lou and since his passing I'd ask to keep it yourselves. The closest one even somewhat resembling this range is out in Mesquite run by those some of these reviews fit well. Facts count - even here on goolag.

Great outdoor range where you can shoot from 10-225 yards at the same time. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, love this place.

I have never had so much fun at a gun range. I used to go to Eagle in Lewisville and I have to say, I'm never going back to that boring a$$ place. The staff at Magnum may look intimidating, but underneath the gruff exterior they are darling angel sweethearts who seemingly know *everything*, and they aren't shy or vibey about helping out beginners (like me). The range is varied and interesting, and the atmosphere they've created is friendly and fun while still feeling very safe. I am in so love with this place!

Best hidden gem in DFW area. Outdoor range with steel targets as far as 200 yards. Outdoor ranges are far superior to indoor ranges and shooting steel targets are more fun than paper targets. Although, you can also put up your own paper targets and have plenty of fun.

Be sure you have cash to pay for usage of the range, if itΓÇÖs peak hours, youΓÇÖll have to elbow your way to a shooting position. The greatest feature for me was to be able to shoot steel at varying distances

I'm not new to guns but I am new to rifles. The staff was great. Within 20min I was shooting at 200yds. They took time and helped me sight in. It was laid back and I liked the comradery.

I love this range! these people on here talking about the grouchy instructors, must not take constructive criticism very well. evey time I've been, they have been more accommodating and even helped me clean my first ar 15 I built.. always offer to help clean my guns. they always go above and beyond.

Lou was an amazing guy and is dearly missed! He would be so ashamed to see how the bad the two grouchy guys that run it now are! Why do you want to pay $20 to be treated like idiots? They are so rude. They also allow double tap and Lou would have never allowed that. We wonΓÇÖt be back. ItΓÇÖs sad!

They donΓÇÖt answer their phone and have no website to inform you that they are closed on days that they are supposed to be open. Drove 45 minutes to find a cardboard sign on the fence saying sorry closed family emergency. How hard would it be to have a facebook page and post if youΓÇÖre closed or maybe answer the phone. The range is cool when theyΓÇÖre actually open. Just a very unprofessional owner. I understand emergencyΓÇÖs happen but just have the decency to tell people. This isnΓÇÖt the first time IΓÇÖve gone during there hours and they were closed.

I do like this range but you must call and see if they are open even if it says they are on Google. Have gotten there and they are closed 1 or more hours before closing time.

This place is awesome! Can shoot almost any gun, any kind of ammo. They are not very picky here which is so nice. They have a shotgun range outdoors and a rifle range and a pistol range. Get there early though because they fill there spaces quickly. It's a small spot. But loads of fun! $20 for adults and any gun for the day. Not pricey and no annual fees or subscriptions required!
