Q: Is there an ETA on the re-opening of the 1,000 yrd range?
A: There are discussions from time to time with Manatee County about re-opening the 1,000 yd. However, with the Duette Reserve now in use so close to the back of the range, the cost of the controls that they would like make it very, very difficult.

Q: Is this place open to public. I live in Lakeland and would like to come down and shoot the 600 yard range. It is very hard to find a range that goes over 100 ft.
A: Thank you for the inquiry Tony. Yes we are a club but also open to the public. There is a qualification process of 5 consecutive shots in a 6" target at 300 yards, you will then be issued a card for that firearm and optic only to shoot at 600 yards. Please call ahead to verify there is no match taking place on the 600 before you come. office opens at 8 am and first shooting session is at 8:30 am. Please feel free to call if you have any other questions.

Q: Is this a good place to practice archery?
A: 8/15/2021- Archery is up and running with butts to 50 yds, and a 3-D walking course. Crossbows are welcome. There are some specific targets for broadheads. Come on out!

Q: Why is the membership fees so high I've never been a member anywhere so it seems high and I can't see me and the old lady both being members when she still can't hold a decent group and I want to use the long ranges. Should i just pay each time I go
A: So high?!! It's one of the cheapest rates around! You can have a membership for $100 a year that gets you access to everything. Your missus can be added for $50. Suggest that you go back and read the website.

A: You do not have to have a membership to shoot at the range. It is open to the public. But being a member you have extra privileges such as special deals on shooting special deals on ammo you also get to attend the meetings vote during our annual elections for president vice president and so on and if you do not like the way things are run you can also run for one of the offices during the annual elections. The daily fee of $27 does allow you to shoot at pistol or rifle ranges out to 300 yards if you would like to shoot the longer ranges of 600 yards first you have to qualify with one of our RSOs to make sure you and your equipment are capable of shooting long range after that you merely show your card and you are allowed to shoot 600 yards

A: New rates were recently made annual membership has not changed, pay as you go non-member has been raised from $20 to $27 each visit per person

A: Yes, there are fixed targets and a walking course. Crossbows are welcome!

Q: How much is it to join?
A: For membership it costs $250 to join, and then $200 annually to renew. This will bring your range fee to $7 for the day rather than the guest price of $27 when you come to use our range as well as give you other discounts on items in our stores such as ammunition and various events.

Q: Can u shoot reloaded ammo at this range
A: Due to personal circumstances I haven't been there in over year, but I used to fire reloaded ammo all the time and there was no restriction. Just to be on the safe side I suggest you call first.

A: Yeah I seen they have prs so I figured those guys have to be able to test loads which is what I want to do I'm not a velocity chaser I'm an accuracy obsesser lol I'm gonna become a member I don't care that they're well over an hour drive

This range is a great experience each and every time. The range is kept clean and staff is friendly and incredibly helpful. Wide variety of distances to shoot. Prices are very fair. DJ (rso) is a wealth of knowledge and a top notch stand up guy. His willingness to go above and beyond to share his passion of shooting was exceptional. 10/10 recommend!

I have traveled all over the USA and visited many gun and archery clubs throughout the years and this is my absolute favorite range. The range officers are second to none and always willing to extend a helping hand. They willingly share their knowledge and are happy to do it. The range itself is well organized and spotless. The grounds are well cared for and itΓÇÖs easy to see that the membership is very proud of their facilities. If in the area I highly recommend this range for all your needs. From long distance target shooting to pistol shooting and archery this is the place to go. You wonΓÇÖt be disappointed plus the range fees are very reasonable.

First time visitor. What a great place. The range officers were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The range is great. Nice setup. We used the pistol and rifle ranges. Very affordable. Saw the RSO's doing some training and was impressed. Would definitely recommend and will go again.

5 stars all around. Very nice range and the people were very friendly. One of the guys there DJ showed me around the range and let me shoot his gun. Another gentlemen helped me zero my rifle. Great experience all around.

Been wanting to learn long range shooting. I had never shot past 100, or owned a rifle with anything other than a red dot. Let's start with the check in staff, personable, they sign you in & helpful. The R.O's super helpful. Without a doubt, they've assisted without hesitation in my journey to secure my 1000 YD qualification. That was a goal in this new venture. The R.O's would spot, provide me guidance, pointers, DOPE, all their knowledge to contribute to my success & enjoyment. John has been the most involved, I've learned plenty. After a few visits, I went ahead & obtained a membership. I enjoy being outside, surrounded by others with similar interests etc. PS, the 600 seems to be the best distance, they have plenty of steel & moving targets. These guys have made the investment in a precision rifle worth it. Thanks,

I'm gonna give it 5 stars. Was my first time there. Had to zero a red dot. The young kid at the desk was very nice, knowledgeable, and explained everything perfectly. ROs were friendly and polite. I will definitely be making more trips there. I also plan on participating in 3 gun when time allows me to.

MGAC is a well-run gun club that is a jewel to this part of Florida thanks to the hard work of dedicated, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and friendly staff and their small army of volunteers. Safety is paramount as exhibited by the systematic procedures followed by the staff, but they make every effort to ensure that everyone who visits the club leaves with a fun, positive experience. The range is well maintained, professionally operated with courteous folks. It has a nice offering of short-distance bays as well as long distance shooting, shotgun and archery. Florida Multigun runs terrific multi-gun matches here every month.

The best range I have ever visited, with a staff that would be very professional in addressing anything and helping you literally on anything you could need. The 1 hour drive is absolutely worth it, the prices are absolutely amazing.

My absolute favorite place in all of Southwest Florida! I shoot the Florida Multigun (FM) 3 gun competitions here and have a total BLAST doing it. Big thank you to the FM team for putting on such a fun match. Love the super friendly MGAC staff and wonderful facility. Amazing experience at the 5 stand range with our new to us shotgun. Great guy helping us, Matthew I believe his name was. It was great fun with the other shooters. We will be back. They are raising the prices soon so it might not be worth it just for the 5 stand anymore but it was great fun.

Fantastic range! First time at the facility. And EVERYONE that works there was fantastic. Went there to test skills and shoot out to 1000 yards. First had to qualify at 300. To do that you have to place five consecutive shots while maintaining 2 MOA @ 300 yards. Took me two attempts, but special thanks to RSO Brian for working with us. Then we headed over to the 600 yard range to qualify there. Again had to place 5 consecutive shots on a steel plate. This time it was DJ who helped us out. Patient and provided some solid encouragement and a little coaching. Again, took me two attempts but made it. On our way back to the 1,000 yard line for the final qualification effort, and the weather moved in shutting us down for the rest of the day. All I can say is despite the weather I could not have had a better experience...I'll be back for sure! Thanks to the entire team at MGAC.

I shot 3 Gun there today and had a blast. I first had to go to the office and complete the waiver and the Club staff was great. The guys at Florida Multigun really run a great match. Looking forward to doing it again.
