Q: It may be a weird question, but I have a pellet rifle and do not own a backyard. Where can I shoot with my pellet gun? May be in other location of the Markham park?

A: You can come and shoot at Markham Range officer welcome's us the Airgunner as long as we follow thw range rule. Rule powder rifle applies to ai rifle too. e should organize to be recognized. I also shoot 22LR and pistols aside from this air rifle that i have started as a hobby lately.

- Russell Pelobello (Iyole 56) (2 years ago)

A: Yes, air rifle is permitted, that being said this range is not air rifle friendly. If you're lucky and get in when there's several ROs and the far right is open you may be able to shoot w/o getting blown off due to muzzle blast. It is going to be hit/miss no pun with availability. If you are looking for a indoor location try nexus or shoot straight.

Q: Is the park open again for Trap and Skeet?

A: Yes!!!

- Corey S (4 years ago)

Q: Is air rifle allowed?

A: are air pistol co2 allowed. 22 caliper pellets????????

- howard lazarus (5 years ago)

A: I assume it is allowed because I have seen 1 or 2 airgun shooters there. They would be subject to the same rules as everyone else.

- Alan Darby (4 years ago)

A: I shot PCP and I'm a 101% sure your concern about CO2 is answered. I wish thy should dedicate half of the rifle range to Air rifle since it is most of the tmne empty. Also so that airt rifle shooter can bri g thier kids to shoot and be started on how to handle guns and rifle. Also so that Air rifle shooters can have a place to organize a Club and can held a local shooting competation another way for the park to generate fund to maintain the park.

- Russell Pelobello (Iyole 56) (2 years ago)

- Gustavo Frances (3 months ago)

Q: Can you shoot green tip rifle ammo?

A: YouΓÇÖre not shooting steel there so itΓÇÖs fine

- James Carter (3 months ago)

Q: What are the size barrel are allow for clay shooting?

A: I think you're asking about minimum barrel length. It's 26 inches and above.

- Stephen Cheong (9 months ago)

Q: Do you guys do skeet shooting?

A: Markham Park Target Range does have skeet, trap and sporting clays, separate from the rifle and pistol 100yd range.

The gun range is just like I remembered it. Except, today we had no wait. Two of us got right onto the range. It used to be like an hour wait to get in the range.

Outdoor range is nice. Safe, Gun instruction and rules are followed with no exemption. Bring earplugs as you never know who is shooting what next to you.

Would put zero stars if I could. Range sucks. Wayyy over priced. I stopped shooting at 8:14 and they would not allow me to leave until 8:45-8:50. My area was clean weapons were packed up and they still would not allow me to leave. I asked to leave twice and was told no.

I've been shooting at this range since the day it opened. The range is marginal for shooting with handguns but outstanding for rifle.

avoid at all cost if your looking to have a good time. 1 shot for every 5 seconds is just laughable.

The range is fine but the range nazis that work there make shooting there horrible. If you like being told how many seconds you have to wait between shots then this place might be for you. Would avoid shooting here at all costs.

Rules are way too strict here. Range officers are nice but the rules suck. Typical City ran operation. I shot one round with a black powder gun and left. Not worth the hassle.

I know Markham Park Target Range gets a bad rap from people for overly Fuddy clientele & VERY strict range officers, but I have to say one of the ROΓÇÖs there really helped me a ton last night. Big props to RO Joel for helping get the Holosun on target, sighted in, and set, because it wasnΓÇÖt even CLOSE to being zeroed out of the box. Really appreciate the work he put in. Other than that, just try to remember they get all ages of people from all backgrounds, and the extreme strict nature of their range is to keep everyone safe at all times.

Pretty mediocre shooting range for one single reason. You cannot shoot more than 1 round every 5 seconds. Its a pretty ridiculous rule. I understand it'a for safety, but 1 every 5 seconds is extremely exaggerated. There's no point in shooting at that rate for follow-up shooting practice. This range is set up for either sighting in, or for first time shooters. Props to the range officers for following the rules down to a tee. I shot 3 rounds in 10 seconds and was called out. Which I was genuinely surprised because I didnt think that I would be flagged for that. Then I forgot about the rule and shot 3 times in the span of 6 to 7 seconds and and was yelled at saying that if I do that again, I'd be kicked out. To anyone wanting to practice shooting, stay away from here. To anyone trying to teach someone how to shoot, its a decent place.

I see a lot of negative reviews about this range, but they are unwarranted. I have NEVER had a bad experience there. The range has a set of rules that are put in place for safety, not to give a guest a hard time. You play nice, so will they. They make you put flags in the chambers of your weapons when you take them out. Even though they install their own flags, I install my own flags before I arrive to the range and trust me the RO's appreciate it. I have been to a lot of ranges in South Florida and hands down I feel safe bringing my son here to shoot.

This is a public place. Is not a $12000 timeshare luxury club. It is a public range and It's great. It's a clean price with nice employees that helps a lot and you have a nice time. Have been in others and this one is fun. Highly recommended. **** not associated with the park on any way or form.

Range officers are the absolute worst. No communication between them other than sh&t talking first timers. Lazy confused and dangerous. DonΓÇÖt waste your time.

If you want a challenge from the 75ΓÇÖ indoor ranges, this is the place to go. HOWEVER, I suggest you purchase your ammo from somewhere else because their calibers are Limited. ItΓÇÖs a perfect place to test those new scopes and red dots

My first range experience. Organized safety procedures and supervision. Elmer Fudd style target shooting. No quick draw or frequency under 5 seconds per shot. Very enjoyable natural location.

I'm from Wisconsin where they don't even offer us a county course in the entire state. Hats off to Florida.
