Metro Shooting Supplies - Belleville

Q: When will you reopen???
A: We are currently remodeling the entire store from top to bottom. Due to COVID-19 getting people to work has been more than difficult. It has been slower than expected. When we do open again it will be amazing. As you can already tell we have installed a new Peking lot, have painted the entire building, bricked in all the old windows and installed security glass block windows on the second floor. There have been extreme upgrades to the inside of the building. We have new display cases ordered that have been delayed. As you can see we have invested a ton of money and hard work already. As soon as we are finished we will open that is for sure. Remember, this is harder on us than anyone else. Please be patient, it will be worth it. Our store is open in Bridgeton for your use too. We have a great deal of our Illinois customers using our beautiful facility now. Thank you Metro Shooting Supplies Belleville-Bridgeton

Steve King got me addicted to shooting when he showed me that my barrel wasn't bent and shot out the x ring. I miss the fight night venue but that said metro shooting should bring back fight night with pcp or at least open for competition league with air rifles and pistols. Within reason of course but pcp pellet air rifles are the future in Illinois if ever to relive the old days in Illinois. Bring back cheap shooting and leagues of some kind and use bb guns ... Illinois is a rough legal place to have horrible habbits and drinking the cool aid of shooting paper . ISRA has a league with air rifle and pistols. In home shooting ranges realy get old when you just want to scratch the need to feed that love of shooting but don't want to reload ... just pump it up into green. It's a hoot

I made a purchase/membership last year around when covid first hit and before you knew it the belleville location temporarily closed and never reopened. I called to see if there was anyway they could compensate or at least replace the year of not being able to use my membership or something since the belleville location has been closed for almost a year now and their automatic message kept reassuring that they would open back soon. I was told I'll have to purchase another yearly membership because they are not able to do anything since the bridgeton missouri location was still open. But if I wanted to travel to missouri I would've purchased in missouri. Bridgeton missouri is out of my range and causes inconveniences for myself. I feel that it's unfair that I had to waste an one year membership because of something on their end. Their membership is not cheap and it's unfair to all members

I have purchased a firearm here as well as used the range for both practice and competition. Not big or fancy, but a decent place with friendly staff

I don't know why this place has bad reviews. All the staff were extremely knowledgeable and the prices weren't too bad. JP, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all the inventory. Everything is clear and straight forward. Overall good experience.

Guns are fairly high in price but in the area there are plenty of other places to buy from. I only come here for the range and IΓÇÖve always had great experiences, one guy working even let me hold his G17 with a hollowsun red dot. IΓÇÖd definitely recommend this place.

Buying a handgun from here. $35 more expensive than everywhere else. Owner talks down to me and very sternly tells me that glock doesn't make a gen4 g30 and writes up paperwork for the gen3. When I go home and see that there is a gen4 and call back, he changes the paperwork. I will not be returning here!

i will likely never be back. i came to this range with a friend as his first time shooting a handgun and as an excuse to throw some round down range and test out my new gun and after about 20 or so minutes an employee comes out complaining we're shooting too fast which was far from accurate maybe 1 round every 3 to 4 seconds then come out again while we were shooting about 1 round every 6 seconds

I recently took a shooting class with Steve. It was my first time shooting. Steve is very thorough And effective in his teaching methods, a great instructor! The staff there is very knowledgeable and willing to take the time to teach anyone who walks through the door. I will be going back soon and likely getting a membership because I really enjoyed my experience.

The instructors are well informed, patient, and very helpful. There was not a question we could not ask. They showed a willingness to inform, instruct and show us how to use and carry our weapons safely and responsibly. I enjoyed the class and may return for more training. It was that good! Also, the range is perfect for my needs and maintained by consummate professionals.

I purchased a typhoon F12 from metro the rifle came under warranty from typhoon. When the rifle began to show malfunctions light pin strikes, failure to eject spent casing, failure to discharge. I contacted typhoon as directed from metro. Followed my steps for the warranty and which TYHPOON was not helpful at all what so ever. Constant back and forth emailing with talking around the problem failing to fix it and honor the warranty. I brought my rifle to Jon Z and Ken and Metro. I cant say enough good things about them. They are so professional so very helpful and so down to earth willing to do what it takes and everything in their power to help me. After the arguing with typhoon for months i brought it to Jon and Ken. After no time at all its fixed and ready to be picked up. Again i cant say enough good things about the company Metro and their staff. Thank you sincerely thank you.

I stopped in to practice with my new handgun and they were nothing but helpful. The RSO made sure o was comfortable with loading the magazine and that I knew basic gun safety before leaving to practice. Checked in to make sure all was well. I found the prices to be comparable to what IΓÇÖve seen elsewhere at indoor ranges. Ammo is always going to be less expensive at a mass retailer, and you can bring your own in. I had a great experience.

Staff is very knowledgable and Nick was very helpful with showing me the proper hand grip to help with accuracy. Being a new hand gun owner I appreciate the tips and really am thankful for the year of free gun range membership with my gun purchase.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable. If you follow the rules, you will have no problem. I rated 4 stars because of the extremely overpriced ammo and when I bought my girlfriend her ear protection, it was priced wrong. The owner (who was great otherwise), told me he would just give them to me for the $20 they were marked and when they rang up for $45, I was charged the $45 they should've been marked in the first place so I'm not upset about it. I've had nothing but pleasant experiences every time I've been. Bought a firearm for a price I would've gotten anywhere else and received my 1 yr membership. Great value! I'm more than happy to call myself a member!

Shortly after buying my first gun from Metro i went to the range there to shoot for the first time. Accidentally shot the plastic target hanger and they charged me 10 bucks. Just put a sour taste in my mouth about going there. I mean it was my first time, was unintentional and still got charged. Wasn't even on a visible piece of the target hanger. Will not be going back nor buying guns from there. Recommend you do the same.

I had never handled a gun before and they were awesome to deal with. Very thorough and really focused on safety (which I would hope they would be), made sure I was doing everything I should and not acquire any bad habits from the very beginning. I am definitely going back so I can improve my skills and try different types of guns to figure out what will be the best for me personally. Would highly recommend them to anyone just starting out or who is looking to improve their skills!
