After many years of looking ,I finally found the gun I had been looking for since 2006. There it was at Michael Murphy and Sons!!!! Marc was awesome to deal with. We live in Ohio and had a few concerns about our gun arriving in the same beautiful shape it was in on the website. Marc put all our concerns out of our heads. He assured us that it would be shipped and delivered to us asap. And he delivered. The 24 hour wait for our ffl to put it in their system, so we could pick it up was almost as long as the search! I cannot say enuff good things about the whole experience. Thanks Marc! You've made this anniversary a very special one. Thank you and everyone there at your store. I purchased a 43 year old Ruger Blackhawk revolver in absolutely mint condition that looks like it just came off the Ruger production line, perhaps with even better tolerances than the new models. I bought an Ithaca 28ga side by side shotgun for $4,999. I begged the seller to NOT use UPS. The seller insisted on UPS and sent the gun without any UPS insurance and without a SIGNATURE REQUIRED! UPS left the gun on the porch at a trailer park in a different town on the Friday before 4th of July weekend. I spent endless hours on the phone, getting the run-a-round from UPS. I missed appointments and lost a lot of precious time. I paid $75 shipping, about 50% more than average, and the seller saved $4.95 by NOT requiring a signature. In addition, when I asked if he agreed that the stock had been shortened, his comment was "people were 5'4" back then". LOP has been standard at 14' for more than 100 years. Also, the choke markings were left out of the pictures, not mentioned in the listing, hiding the fact that the gun had been altered. The Seller's attitude throughout was condescending. I would avoid this seller at all costs.
