Mid-Hudson Sporting Clays

My favorite sporting clays range! Perfect combination of moderate to challenging targets. I also like that you can shoot completely on your own with the automated trapping system. I go there at least once a week on my own to practice.

Today, I participated in my first-ever shotgun tournament at Mid-Hudson Sporting Clays. Despite my initial nerves, especially since I attended the event alone and lacked experience, the staff made all the difference. Every team member was incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring I felt welcome and properly set up. One staff member, in particular, went above and beyond by transporting me to the first station in a golf cart, as it was the furthest from the shop. He also kindly took my gun case back to the counter, saving me from the inconvenience of carrying it around all day. The facility was immaculate, the food was excellent, and the overall shooting experience was outstanding for a newcomer to the sport. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staffΓÇÖs assistance was invaluable. Thank you for making my first tournament such a memorable experience. I look forward to participating in future events at Mid-Hudson Sporting Clays. *wish I could remember the names of the staff members, to shout them out on this review, but it was a long day of meeting a lot of people.*

Been back twice and can't say enough about how great they are. I went for an event and then came back with a buddy. Worth the drive from Long Island. The entire staff, the other shooters and the owner are very kind.

Very cool sporting clays club with targets for all skill levels. The shop has everything you need for the day and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

This place is the best sporting clay establishment IΓÇÖve been to. The staff is great, they consistently change the station in order to keep things interesting. They are welcoming and knowledgeable, IΓÇÖm happy to be a member here for now two years. Great place to shoot, you will have lots of fun!

This place is awesome! I went there for an inro, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. The instructor, Tom, was something special. His expertise, patience, and enthusiasm made the session both educational and enjoyable. The entire staff was also very friendly and helpful, providing top-notch service and creating a welcoming atmosphere.From start to finish, the experience was next level. They had everything I needed to have a successful and memorable day. If you're looking for a place to try shooting clays, I highly recommend Mid Hudson Sporting Clays. You won't be disappointed!

This place is awesome! You can bring your own guns and ammo or rent. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I asked which choke would be best and they told me Improved Cylinder. They even have push carts for your guns and ammo you can use. They have a LOT of stations with multiple target machines per station. Will definitely be back. While some of the targets were harder, overall I feel it is easier than trap and skeet. You run the machines yourself as well so go at your own pace.

Been here 6 times in the past two months. We always rent a gun and a cart. IΓÇÖve had problems with every gun IΓÇÖve rented sometimes went through multiple guns in one visit. Usually jamming, but have had a wobbly stock a few times. The electric carts IΓÇÖve had problems with too with loosing charge halfway through the course. But the thing that bothers me the most is that the people there just arenΓÇÖt very friendly. Not one of them has cracked a smile and I really try to be overly sweet because thereΓÇÖs such tension. I hate going into the shop and dealing with them, and their gun smith must not be that good. The course itself isnΓÇÖt bad and does get switched from time to time. Most of the clays get thrown but not all the time and they usually give you ten because they know thatΓÇÖs going to happen. So besides the unfriendliness and the guns needing servicing itΓÇÖs not bad.

Great place to shoot. Staff is courteous and knowledgeable. When they throw an event with food, it's outstanding. Highly recommend if you want to learn Sporting Clays or just continue to up your game.

My go to place for sporting clays. Stations ,for the most part, change every so often which is nice having a little variety. I wish the golf carts (it is a very walkable course by the way) had gun racks.

Purchased the intro package as it was our first time here. Had a wonderful time-staff were extremely nice and accommodating. Our instructor for the day was Quinn who was super friendly and patient with us as first time shooters. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Best clays in the northeast. The owners and staff are wonderful people and the grounds are super well kept. Clays always stocked, well priced. Love going here, near RossiΓÇÖs deli as well for great sandwiches after.

Went for an introduction to the sport. It was a date outing for my wife and I while our 3 kids were with my mom in law. I couldn't have seen it having had gone any better than it did. Quinn was our instructor, he made the experience all the awesome that it was. He was very knowledgeable on the history of with a fun personality, and all the suggestions to have me shooting like (in my head) a champ. He is highly recommended genuine. We'll definitely be returning and I'll be counting down the minutes until.

Great place for breaking clays! you can go at your pace. Completely automated so no need for a trapper. People are really nice! A very relaxing and fun day out. Great for beginners or experienced shooters.

What a terrific experience our bachelor party had at Mid-Hudson Sporting Clays! There were 8 of us total, and Terry was happy to set us all up with an introductory package (plus a fun team shootout at the end of our intro lessons). Quinn and Kyle were TERRIFIC instructors and both helped make for a great time. Thanks to the entire MHSC team--we hope to be back in the future!

Just had the best time. IΓÇÖve always felt that service in the firearms industry is at best cold and at worst hostile. Not at mid Hudson sporting clays. Every single employee I ran into greeted me, spoke to me, made sure I was doing well and being taken care of. Good conversation, respect, no ego or judgement. They should be proud of how they run their business and frankly should run seminars for other ffls on how to treat customers. Will recommend this place to anybody.
