Great experience this morning - they took the time to find a discontinued firearm I was trying hard to obtain. They spent 20 minutes with me and found it new at MSRP. I ordered it and am having it shipped to them for transfer. I can't wait to try it on the range.

First timer, the staff were nice and informative. Helped me take my range test and get range certified. The test was simple and the staff member answered any questions I had. Will be coming back for the range.

Ownership is horrible. Dave the General Manager is the best though. Jeffery is a great help as well. They need to pour money into updating the range.

Staff are very helpful and informative. Must take a Range Test if it is your first visit. I recommend bringing your own ear/eye protection, if not you can purchase there. Look on the website for rules and information on types of ammo that are acceptable.

I have been a certified shooter here since 2014, prior to my military service in 2015, and have found that the staff here are very knowledgeable and always willing to help me out with any deficiencies I may have had during my training. The range is always staffed with a friendly and knowledgeable RSO, who will provide qualifications for RIΓÇÖs Army L. I have since become a member and as I have gone shooting at least once or twice a week, have found that the cost of membership is a massive savings. I would recommend that anyone that enjoys recreational shooting should consider becoming a member; youΓÇÖll save a ton!

This is the best range in the region. Hands down. The staff is very knowledgeable and competent, but not elitist. The storefront is pretty high class with a rustic kind of feel. The range side is.... eh, the best Rhode island might ever have. (I'm biased and I'll say I prefer my home range *shout-out Ricochet Range*), but it's still an Action Target system and a 25 yard range. My last trip was with a pretty decent sized group, including a fellow from Papua New Guinea. Im a certified, qualified instructor, both by the NRA and the state i curently reside in. The amazing staff at midstate allowed the 2 hours of classroom/dry-fire training qualify as safety training in accordance with their rules. For this i thank them. For my foreigner friend, I had set my own business card out and had him shoot it at 7 yards. (He hit it 2/2 times btw) Also noteworthy, upon seeing this, another person who came with me, but several lanes over, sent a card downrange to shoot at. That card, however, had an RFID tag and thus violated the "paper targets only" rule. The staff was firm, but still very professional about the error. - Midstate Gun Co has top tier staff, and the best facilities around. The map with visitor pins from nearly every state and country is a testament to that. 12/10 would recommend.

My daughter and I took a handgun class back in January at Midstate. I own a firearm but decided to take the class with my daughter as a refresher and to maybe learn something new. The class was presented in a relaxed, safe, non judgment atmosphere. Both my daughter and I came away knowing more about proper grip, safety on the range and general overall confidence in handling of firearms. Since then, after obtaining our range safety card, we have used the range for practice. The experience with the staff and range officers has been great. We intend to use Midstate quite frequently to improve our skills with our firearms and more importantly we have a nice hobby to do together! Well done Midstate!

Customer Service was horrible Went there today with 4 of my cousins to shoot and wanted to tighten a strap for my rifle before we started. I bought an hour at 2 bays and got some 357 ammo, totaling around $150 bucks. I asked one of the guys in the back for an Allen key which was sitting 5 feet in front of me and he explained that they were too busy. By the look of this ogreish staff it looks like they were busy shoveling funnel cakes down their throats but still I waited. After 15 minutes of them talking to one another I asked if I could just grab it for a quick tightening. The plump imp wearing glasses lectured me yet again on how busy they were to hand me this tool. Needless to say i was completely unimpressed with their lack of help and I wouldnΓÇÖt even recommend this dumpy establishment to anyone. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to watch obese adults with unemotional social skills to interact with one another.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the shooting range and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. The staff were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to ensure I had an enriching and educational visit. One staff member, in particular, stood out. Although his name escapes me, his professionalism and dedication were truly remarkable. He patiently walked me through the intricacies of Rhode Island's gun laws, helping me navigate the process of purchasing a new firearm with ease. His comprehensive knowledge and ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner were impressive. What really set him apart, however, was his eagerness to share his personal tips and tricks for becoming a more accurate shooter. His guidance was not only practical but also tailored to my skills and needs. It was evident that he genuinely cared about my improvement and safety. The owner too, I believe, played a significant role in my learning journey. Their combined efforts have left me feeling more prepared and confident, with a much better understanding of firearms and the associated laws. To them and the entire team at the shooting range, I extend my heartfelt thanks. Your willingness to help and commitment to educating your customers is commendable. I look forward to my next visit and would highly recommend your range to anyone interested in improving their shooting skills or understanding more about gun ownership. Thank you!

I went in to practice. I was turned away because I didnΓÇÖt bring my own weapon and because I was alone. IΓÇÖm trying to qualify for my permit and donΓÇÖt have my caliber of choice, hence the renting. Also, I donΓÇÖt care for the idea of driving around with a gun in my trunk. I was told they couldnΓÇÖt spare someone to ΓÇ£buddyΓÇ¥ me. IΓÇÖm a grown woman with privileges to carry in other States , but I canΓÇÖt shoot there unless I bring a friend. The guys at the counters are great. The man claiming to be manager, completely incompetent.

Originally, I thought highly of this place, and thought the reviews were accurate. They have a good selection of guns, ammunition, accessories, knives, etc… however the manager I spoke with (Donna) was extremely rude, and outright disrespectful. She basically told me I should not be looking into anything at the store because I dont know anything. To make matters worse, I overheard her talking down to her employees, telling them they were never doing enough and that they need to do things her way, otherwise it is unacceptable. The employees themselves were great, very helpful, honest, and really did a good job helping me find what I was looking for. Honestly, I would love to leave a better review, but I just cant bring myself to accept the horrible treatment of staff, and to add onto it the disrespect towards CUSTOMERS??? I really do not appreciate being talked down to to begin with, not to mention the fact that I was as always, respectful, and nice towards everyone. I do not see this place staying open much longer.

Don was about as rude and clueless a manager as IΓÇÖve ever encountered. Sold my firearm on consignment with them, called no less than three times to confirm it wasnΓÇÖt sold, only to find out it sold 7 months ago and it was, ΓÇ£my fault for not checking in with themΓÇ¥.
