Midwest Shooting Center

Q: Can you bring your own ammunition?
A: Yes, they will check any ammo you bring in. Also you may want to do the safety video online so you don't have to wait in line and do it at the store.

A: Yes. No steel
- Chris Moses (3 years ago)
A: You are welcome to bring your own range ammo, but we do have some restrictions. We don't allow steel core ammo or bi-metal jacketed ammo. An associate will check anything you bring in to ensure that it's range safe before placing you on a lane.

I try not to leave bad reviews as itΓÇÖs my belief itΓÇÖs easier to just move on. Signed up under a cyber Monday pay in full deal last year, paid in full and unfortunately never used it because of scheduling. Not their fault I couldnΓÇÖt find time but whatΓÇÖs so damn frustrating is the NONSTOP harassment from ABC fitness company (their parent company company I assume) about my payment information being out of date and owing them $14 more for this Januarys subscription. They call every other day and have the creepy feeling of a sleazy collection agency! Shame on me for not reading the very lengthy terms for this as it was not just the 1 year deal it was presented to be, instead it now is a subscription that is nearly impossible to cancel and like hell IΓÇÖm updating my payment information. Went into the store to try and end this and was told I could cancel if I paid up for the additional month of January if I wanted this to go away. Clearly they care more about the membership fees than ANYTHING. They have logs of when and how often you use the range and could see that I have never used it, but the solution is ΓÇ£give us more moneyΓÇ¥. I gave you a years worth of membership that cost you nothing since it was never used but you still want more? My suggestion, support local shops instead of the big box stores like Midwest who are only here to bleed funds from the community. Again itΓÇÖs my fault for not having a lawyer review a membership agreement. This whole this is FΓÇÖing ridiculous. Update: 02/27/25 they still have not fixed this, over three hours on the phone, emails back and forth and one email saying it was fixed and no $ owed. Also have recorded phone call stating all is resolved, but like clockwork these sleazy pricks have stared up again. Feels like this is going to end up in court! Keep your docs and record ALL conversations with this company.

Midwest Shooting Center delivers an exceptional experience for both novice and experienced shooters. The facility is impeccably clean and modern, with well-maintained ranges and a wide selection of rental firearms. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and safety-conscious, providing expert guidance and instruction. Their commitment to safety is evident in their strict protocols and attentive range officers. Beyond the ranges, the pro shop offers a great selection of firearms, accessories, and ammunition, and the training classes are top-notch. Whether you're looking to practice your marksmanship, take a class, or simply enjoy a safe and welcoming shooting environment, Midwest Shooting Center is a premier destination.

If you're going to try and trade a gun for something else, don't bother going here to do it. I took a gun into them that was in factory condition that I paid $950.00 for, and they offered me $300.00 for it. I can see making a little bit on a gun, but this is ridiculous. From now on, I'll do my purchasing at Wrigleys. At least, they're not trying to rip you off. Even Sportsmans Warehouse will treat the customer better.

The area is very organized and tidy, and the staff were amazing. They really aided me through the process of buying a gun and shooting in the gun range. It was an awesome experience 10/10 recommend.

IΓÇÖve gone into Midwest 5-10 times now, gone through gun rentals and even liked the place so much that I bought a firearm, ammo and was even considering moving into a membership at some point. About a month ago they called and asked for a survey which I gave and in turn the afford me a free hour on the range. Which I called in a scheduled. But unfortunately when I had something come up and I couldnΓÇÖt do it today and told them I would like to just call back when I know a better time and have a better schedule idea as to when IΓÇÖd like to utilize that pass again they told me that ΓÇ£without a date we are just gonna have to pull it from the systemΓÇ¥ when before they let me just call in and set it up whenever I was ready to use it, the employees and the cleanliness of the place is great but as far as the customer service side of things IΓÇÖm very disappointed and donΓÇÖt think that I will back sucks since I had grown to like the place so much.

1: These folks take almost a week to contact you after they have received a transfer...no reason it should take that long. (I do this a lot and it has happened every time....I will go elsewhere). 2: They don't allow you to holster draw on the range.....you can take a class and holster draw, but you can't go there by yourself and practice (strange....places where I have lived previously, have all allowed drawing).....I only go here to shoot rifle in the winter now, that's it........If they change I will become a member.

My husband Chris and I have been a member for a couple of years now. The best part about Midwest is the people! Everyone is friendly and helpful, the range is well ventilated and clean. We really enjoyed the training classes. The instructors are great!

Very amazing shooting range great work with the structure also has a very good variety of guns to buy/rent and also very nice organized lanes. Just so you know we didnΓÇÖt have to buy a member ship $20 for the first hour and $10 dollars for the second hour. Good state of the art facility.

My husband went today to shoot and as a non member he was pushed back for hours. This is poor customer service as he pays to use the range just as anyone else. Any paying customer should be treated the same. If you drive more than an hour to use the range you shouldn't be pushed back for 2 more hours to wait for members to use the range.

This used to be a good place to come and use the range, but after todayΓÇÖs experience, I will not be back. You are almost forced to buy a membership if you want to use the range, and you treat nonmembers like their money is not any good, and there time is nothing. We were told it would be an hour wait to use the range, no problem. Then after an hour passed, we were told that it would be another hour and possibly even longer because they prioritize members over nonmembers, and members essentially get to cut in line for range time putting us nonmembers in and infinite wait time. I understand that members get priority since they are members, but you treat nonmembers like we are dirt. There should be some give for nonmembers because not everyone wants a membership, and we are still willing to pay to use the range.
