Q: What is the cost for a training lesson, cost for guns and price of bullets.

A: Agree with Chris. You need to go there to see and gage pricing to what you want.

- Dan McKinney (2 years ago)

A: There isn't really a straight forward answer to these questions because it would depend on what training you're looking for, whether you're looking to buy or rent a firearm, and what caliber round you're going to be shooting. Those who have a membership get a discounted price on these things so the cost will vary then also. I can tell you as a member and weekly shooter, I am very happy with with the prices and staff here. I've shot many places in the Pittsburgh area and this is definitely my favorite.

I am a member, and have been for just shy of 3 years, so has my sister. Within the last year, the customer service has been terrible. Our safety on the range was compromised by a guest with little experience during a past visit. That is a serious matter. Our last visit, we reserved a lane. An employee jumped into our lane 20 mins before our visit. When we arrived, he refused to move lanes, so we never got to shoot. The changes in staff made a year and a half ago have ensured I will not be renewing my membership. I used to love it here. As a woman, I felt safe. That's gone now. I'd rather go to Keystone. I would give zero stars if I could.

I had a training assessment scheduled, but when trying to call to temporarily cancel due to scheduling issues, the the extension for training was unable to answer, and I tried calling the general line. When I did that, it sounded like someone picked up, but then it immediately hung up like there were technical issues... So I tried one last time, and someone picked up and hung up on purpose. I will never be a patron here, ever.

Not beginner or non-member friendly. Came in on a Sunday at 11:15, not a member, unable to make a reservation because of this. Told it will be 35-45 minutes to get a lane. A few other people with no reservations come in, and as others trickle off of the range, they are let in well before us. Maybe members? But that feels slimy. After waiting for a little over a hour, weΓÇÖre told it will be a few more minutes. After another 15, IΓÇÖm told itΓÇÖll be 5 more minutes. I decide to not wait any longer, and toss the beeper back on to the counter. The employee behind the counter cops an attitude with me for showing frustration at the situation. If IΓÇÖm being honest, all of the employees were rude. When I was asking questions at check in, whether we could leave for a few minutes while waiting, they acted like it was the dumbest question they had ever heard. If it were just me it wouldnΓÇÖt be a big deal, but it was my wifeΓÇÖs first experience at a range, and would have been her first time shooting a gun as an adult. Not an ideal way to be introduced to how people treat you at a range.

I have been training at Midwest for well over a year now (a member since it opened). I was disappointed when 5-star trainer Matt left for a new opportunity. Since his departure IΓÇÖve been training with Marshall, who also deserves 5 stars!! I have found the trainers @ Midwest to be safety oriented, experienced, knowledgeable, kind, patient, encouraging & fun! If youΓÇÖre looking to build skills & become more comfortable shooting, I highly recommend MidwestΓÇÖs training program. (Ask for Marshall!)

Horrible customer service. I been a member there for over 1.5 years and I am canceling my membership. I had nothing but lies told to me about my member ship multiple times, then at that they go through a 3rd party to do memberships so when you go to cancel you have to reach out and request a cancellation. I called multiple times to get a hold of the membership manager that works there was told he was busy I would get a call back multiple times and never did, Very disappointing because when they first opened up they were great I transferred a few firearms there person to person transfer and it was free with my membership. I just tried to do a transfer a few days ago and they denied it saying itΓÇÖs always been a fee of $90 to transfer firearm there witch again is a lie because I never paid to do a person to person transfer any other time. They get new staff there all the time there was a younger kid there getting very hostile with me and my dad and told us to leave now and thereΓÇÖs no deals for transfers. Like I said before when they first opened up it was great customer service and very good memberships. Now I will never buy nor transfer a firearm there again. Just a little information people should know I feel. Good luck anyone that goes there.

Their is no rifle range! Prices are on all their merchandise is high. The managers are useless, can't even return calls. What they are asking for a membership just is not justified. When they have sales they run out and you could have been waiting outside waiting for em to open in a line to get whatever the sale item was just to be told they were out after the first 10 customers... Only positive experience was some of the employees are knowledgeable.

Well, I want to start to get into guns. Too much of a workaholic, so looking for hobbies. I talked to a very nice lady named Julie. She explained to me what classes are available and what my first steps will be. No pressure and a nice experience. I have been going here now for a while off and on, and all the people that work there are very nice, knowledgeable and able to help and inexperienced person like me. Much appreciated! This winter the place has been packed! Packed to the point that I sm now thinking of becoming a member. My schedule now is t as open as before. So being able to reserve a time is nice. Will see how the spring / summer develops.

Bought a FN Reflex from them last year, for the past year, I would always head down there to check out their ammo prices. Kind, friendly staff, always would take the time to come ask me if I needed help finding a particular ammo or if I wanted to look at a particular firearm. I would say they have excellent customer service here The employees were also very helpful to a friend of mine who had some issues with a rifle and it needed fixed, the one gentleman Cam was very instrumental in getting that issue resolved with my friends rifle that was not repaired to an acceptable level by a different shop. Cam really helped quickly identify which parts would need to be replaced and gave immediate cost estimates Great place would recommend to anyone!

We booked one of the group packages for a bachelor party of 5 people for two hours, and it was a really great experience! The range instructor and staff were very knowledgeable and friendly and the facilities were clean and modern. Everyone had a great time, would absolutely go back.

Nice indoor range. A lot of bays for shooting. They offer training and the membership is a good deal if you shoot a lot. Wide selection of rental pistols and rifles and a great selection of guns for sale. Definitely check them out if you're in the Pittsburgh area.

This place is terrible...I don't even know where to begin lol. They talked me into signing up for a 2 year membership. I used the website to reserve a spot two different times. The first time I was told that I needed to hurry up because they had other people coming (I guess they have priority even though I am suppose to be a "VIP") and the second time we got there an hour and a half before they close and they told us it was too late in the day so we had to go back home and it is a 45 minute drive there.... Then I realize that I am still being charged every month even though it has been almost 3 years since I signed up for the 2 year contract. So I just called them and they said after the contract is up it starts charging you month to month and to cancel the month to month you need to give them a 30 days notice!!! WHAT THE ACTUAL F?!?! They couldn't even cancel my membership over the phone! They give you an email address to send an email giving your 30 days notice to take me off the month to month charging that they never tell you is coming. Do not go to this place, they are a bunch of shysters.

Came in today for my first time at an indoor range with a free range pass. Staff at the door was extremely friendly. Walked me through the first time shooter video, signed a waiver and then talked to other about getting a lane. The other staff I dealt with were also extremely cool and helpful. DidnΓÇÖt pressure me to sign up for any membership. Ammo was cheaper than other stores as well and I liked that. I would recommend going if you want the feel for an indoor range and itΓÇÖs not overly expensive and you can bring your own ammo. Definitely read their rules online or call before hand so you know what type of rounds you can shoot.

I took my son for his birthday. He and his brother had a blast. The staff were so friendly, patient, and encouraging. One particular staff member went above and beyond to create this fantastic experience. We were nervous at first, because certain parts of the city aren't too welcoming of other races (if you know what I mean) but we didn't get that VIBE at all! Genuine respect and appreciation for the customer. I'll go again!

I want to start off by saying I orginally loved this place when my training membership started. The individuals we dealt with were all amazing- Lambert, Matt, Harrison, Joe - I learned soo much! However, all the above staff started leaving (which included the Training manager), I heard leadership was changing and it all just went down hill. Could hardly get in, but still stayed optimistic. Then I got new card and tried to update that with them on several occasions. Spoke with the acting store leader, Phillip in person (multiple times) , left messages. Phillip said he forward the information to the new Training manager & No returned call. This went on for several weeks. I stopped going to training because they didn't have any trainers available. I try to cancel my membership and THEY DENY IT. Even though the yearly contract date is met. Said I have to wait until I pay the balance in full. Now remember I harassed them for weeks about my new card and then when I try to cancel they want all the money upfront. I even tried to make a payment arrangement because it's soo damn expensive, I can't pay that all upfront AND THEY STILL DENIED IT. At this point just cancel my membership and use all my classes I didnt get to take and call that even. Good for shooting -- don't start any memberships with them!!

I came here as a first time buyer and had a lot of questions. I was asked what my budget was and they made sure to try to sell me a rifle that ate up every single bit of that before tax. In hindsight and with more education on my own I can tell that the guys were knowledgeable enough to know what they were doing and were sure to stress that anything I found interesting was wrong and only showed me things that again, were at the max of my budget. This place is very gatekeepy for anyone interested in getting into firearms and their membership prices are an absolute scam. There are dozens of more friendly shops and ranges in the area and would recommend that anyone looking take their business elsewhere.

IΓÇÖve been going here for over a year now, and it was the most genuinely welcoming range/shop IΓÇÖve been to. Everyone here is very kind and knowledgeable, and it makes it hard to not spend money when IΓÇÖm here lol. Also, if youΓÇÖre looking for classes?! Marshall and George are absolutely awesome. Would definitely recommend!
