So far my favorite range in the waterloo/la porte city area. Everyone minds the range rules and the gun range is split up in to 3 sections for more of a personal feel in small groups. This is my new place. Has a very simular experience as the place in swisher.

Great place. IΓÇÖm happy to see people throwing away their trash. Only wish is that some would have more consideration and not shot the signs, benches, etc around. Can be busy depending on when and time. Weekends and early evening tend to pick up. Bring your own targets. ItΓÇÖs a little ways off the gravel, but really like that it is secluded. Have fun and be safe!

It's free. Not a lot of parking area, and if the road is closed it's about a half mile walk to the range.

Excellent range for shooting with a variety of different distances and shooting areas. Fixed shooting benches with left and right hand shooting positions. Bring your own targets, target stands, and bug spray. On a final note... pick up you spent casings, trash, targets, etc. Leave the place cleaner than you found it.

Best shooting range around, its free and public, no one to nag you or any of those bullcrap rules to follow, it's outdoors you can smoke shoot or even just drop by and talk to some of us.

This park has two pistol ranges, a rifle range with 50 & 100 yard lanes, and a shotgun area. Bring your own cardboard targets, clays, etc. It's not fancy, but is open to the public and has plenty of shooting benches. Free and unsupervised.
