I toke a private lesson at mission ridge for a new pistol. Instructor refined my technique a lot, got my grouping from 8-10in to 3-4in at 7 yards in an hour. Highly recommend Noah. H, thanks again!

I paid over $2000 for a platinum membership for my family at this place. I missed the cut-off time for online class registration and called them directly to enroll the night before. I called directly to enroll/reserve and this place is so bureaucratic that Monica told me that ΓÇ£only corporate can open registration and that corporate was gone for the dayΓÇ¥ and ΓÇ£we canΓÇÖt reserve for you and have you pay when u get in because my manager wonΓÇ¥t allow thatΓÇ¥. IΓÇÖve been in their classes before and both times there has only been ONE person in the class so itΓÇÖs not like theyΓÇÖre full. YouΓÇÖd think the owners would want to know that their store manager and Monica lost out on $300+ in revenue (class, ammo, and other rentals) but more importantly, their customer acquisition cost for a Platinum member and an opportunity to be a hero for, up to this point, a loyal customer. Really enjoy this place, itΓÇÖs clean and the trainers are top notch ex-military (shout out to Kevin and Noah) but their corporate policies are so inflexible I felt like I was talking to some government employee at the DMV! I mean, itΓÇÖs a shooting range so safety standards have to be strict but REALLY!? Writing my name down on a piece of paper and saying this customer will pay on the day of the class! Oh man-donΓÇÖt do that! Someone might get a PAPER CUT! Number One Rule in business-ΓÇ£Take Care of Your PLATINUM customers or someone else willΓÇ¥ You guys really disappointed me and have tarnished something that I thought was a good investment for my family. UPDATE: I initially had an issue with Mission Ridge Range & Academy, but I have to say, they truly exceeded my expectations in resolving it. The next day they reached out and acted quickly as well as professionally to rectify the situation. John, in particular, showed incredible humility during our conversation, which really made a difference in continuing my membership. His sincerity stood out, and I felt heard and valued as a customer. Additionally, Alex was extremely attentive during the check-in process, ensuring everything went smoothly and that I had no concerns. He had great customer service. Rob also took the time to have a meaningful conversation with me about our mutual military experience, which made me feel even more connected to the team. The service here is impeccable, and their teamΓÇÖs personable approach really shows they care. IΓÇÖm now more than confident recommending Mission Ridge Range & Academy to othersΓÇöthank you for turning the situation around with such thoughtfulness!

NOT COOL GUYS! Tried to rent a gun, buy ammo, range lane, targets, etc. Was informed that a NEW store only policy came out, that to prevent suicide, they cannot rent to me because I was by myself. Not on their website, nothing posted within the store, nothing in the video I had to watch, or waiver I had to sign. Very poor communication and overall waste of time.

I just visited this range to rent and try out a Walther PDP before deciding what gun to buy, and was turned away because I was by myself. According to the person who turned me away, thereΓÇÖs a new policy effective December 2024 that anyone who rents a gun here canΓÇÖt be alone on the range. When I asked if this policy was on the website, he said no. When I had called before to check if I could rent this gun, no one told me of this policy either. While they said this policy applies to everyone, as a single woman looking to rent before I try, I was very disappointed in this range.

Purchased a new hand gun from mission in Dec. 2024. They boxed it up and I took it home. After getting it home I attempted several times to lock the slide back and the pin would not line up to lock slide back. Attempted to load a round in the barrel and it would not due to slide issues. Took the gun back to mission and explained the problem. I watched as several sales staff, including assistant store manager rack the slide back as hard as they could without locking slide. I was told I would receive a call that week about the progress on the gun. After 2 weeks I called back and was told by the gun smith from mission that a spring was replaced and the gun was test fired and now operational. I returned to find that the gun had not been fixed. When I asked the manager, Robert Dimas why the weapon had not been properly checked before selling it he said "we don't do that". He went on to say that none of the gun stores in San Antonio do that. He then tried to compare buying car parts to guns when he suggested that the car parts are never checked before being sold! The store staff as well as the mangers attidute were such that I felt they really didn't care that I had just spent $500 and still had nothing to show for it. I'm glad that there are several other gun stores in the area to shop at. After I get my gun back I will never spent another dollar at mission Ridge gun store again.

Solid range, solid RSOs, and all very cool guys. I came in to try a few rentals, and they informed me of their free Sig Demo day and let me shoot a few for free, rounds included. They even pulled some from the demo so I could rent out, so that was pretty nice. I talked to a few of the gents after checking out, and they were willing to let me pick their brains on the two handguns I was stuck between. It is a great place with great customer service; prices were a little high, but the facility and staff were worth it.

I have mixed feelings on this place. The range is well kept and its nice to have another option in the area however there are some drawbacks. First the good - the shop & range are very nice and they offer a wide selection of quality firearms, accessories, and services. Some of the range safety officers have been pleasant and they allow you to fire at your preferred rate as long as you're hitting the target which seems fair. I occasionally like bringing customers and friends with me to this location as its a very nice shop & range. They also gave me some free stickers during some visits when they had just opened which is cool. On the downside, they don't allow steel cased ammo, I haven't found them to be overly competitive on pricing, and the folks behind the counter sometimes seem more interested in each other than attending customers (not all, but I've seen this more than once). Later, I had some gunsmith install a scope on a 10/22 but it took them well over a week to accomplish and I had to call a few times before I could get a solid ETA. Lastly, my wife and I rented a MP5 clone recently but the sight was very loose and seemed damaged. We let them know and chose a different option instead and were assured it would be fixed. We came back a few weeks later looking forward to renting the MP5 but were disappointed it was never addressed and was still available to rent as it was. I like this place and hope they're successful but would like to see some improvements.

The good, the bad, and the UGLY of Mission Ridge. The Bad: - They do not follow any manufacture sales. - They will not try to beat the competitors' prices. - The ammo is overpriced. - The firearms inside the store are always more expensive than anywhere else in town. The UGLY: - Trade-in values are horrible for store credit. I got better results going to Range USA, San Antonio - If you bring in a New firearm that has never been shot before and is still in the original packing, they will say it is used. It is not used if it has never been fired. The Good: to end on a positive note - Their Archery customer service was great, and all our questions were answered; the servicing took longer than we expected, so it was good that my wife and I were not in a hurry to receive our archery equipment back. - FFL transfers the process is smooth and the pricing is great. I would recommend this service to anyone

This is by far the worst range experience my husband and I have ever had in Texas. If you do not know how to use a gun, this place is great. My aunt wanted us to take her shooting; she kindly asked the gentleman at the range check in if she can use her old bullets. He was joking, but the comment ΓÇ£itΓÇÖs blowing up in your face not mineΓÇ¥ is not appropriate with any generation of customer. We are from Abilene and visit ranges frequently. We did not sign up for a gun technique class. The safety enforcer in the range felt he was obligated to critique every shooter, regardless if warranted or requested. We understand setting the guns down after every set; he can enforce the facility rules all he wants. However, we did not ask for technique assistance. We received technique assistance, along with unnecessary comments. I have a 9mm, the way I shoot is safe, I have small hands and have always done it this way; I was taught this way. I donΓÇÖt put my hands over the slide. He instructed me to shoot according to his personal technique preference, then returned to tell me ΓÇ£I guess I didnΓÇÖt make it clear the first timeΓÇ¥ and instructed me again according to his technique. When I didnΓÇÖt abide exactly, he said ΓÇ£itΓÇÖs not ideal, but it will work.ΓÇ¥ My husband did not appreciate him overstepping his boundaries. The experience we perceived was not appreciated and we will not recommend or return. We would like to file a formal grievance.

Definitely coming back, amazing costumer service, everyone was super nice, they have tons of rental guns to choose from, which makes it a great option for foreigners who don't own guns, such as myself. Whenever I had doubts they walked me through the process which was super straight forward to begin with. Even other costumers were very nice to me and my companions. Whenever a mistake was made in the range they corrected it politely but firmly, which I think is very important yn a gun range. Overall a great experience, can't recommend it enough.

My group came in to try archery on 7/31/24. Penny was amazing with helping us and pointers. He was very patient in explaining the rules and handling of the bow as it was the first time holding a bow for 2 of us. Will definitely be coming back, and Penny made the whole experience great!

Workers Penny and Joe at Mission Ridge were incredibly helpful and caring during our first experience with using bow and arrows. They were patient, made us feel welcomed, and explained the various offerings at Mission, including hosting a workplace event and purchasing bows.

Mission Ridge is hands down the best place for all firearms needs in the San Antonio area! John H. And other staff had help me through the purchase process and I could not be happier! While hanging around and waiting, John H. Showed me a few more items that I definitely have on my list of things to get. He was super helpful and informational! Thank you all again and I can't wait for my next visit!

I went here to practice some shooting for the navy because we have to shoot a certain amount for a qual. Well it was nice till after my shooting they told me they lost my ID and would keep looking for it. Took my info and never called me. 2 weeks later I call them and they havenΓÇÖt found it. Was funny they told me this is a common issue. I think it would be smart to maybe change the way you hold the IDΓÇÖs. IΓÇÖm also from Arizona so this isnΓÇÖt so easy to get back a new ID being so far from home.

Was looking for a good suppressor, and their website happened to have a Q Full Nelson in stock, even though they have been discontinued for over a year and a half at this point. I called Mission Ridge (I forget who I spoke with) and sure enough, he was kind enough to check and they had it in stock!! Pulled the trigger buying on their online site, and they shipped it within a few days, and just picked it up from my FFL recently! Couldn't be happier and thankful for Mission Ridge's online store!!

My brother and I were first time shooters and wanted to finally pull the trigger. The staff were laid back and accommodating. The range itself was a tad smaller than expected, but not overcrowded. However, the decibels that everybody's firearms were producing was almost unbearably loud for me personally. The shooting range did supply PPE gear, but the earmuffs were quite ineffective. Unfortunately, we had to cut our time short because of the noise. I would suggest bringing your own earmuffs that are safer for your ears, especially since the shooting range charges a fee anyway if you don't supply your own. In the end, I would recommend, but I'll be happy to try an outdoor range instead in the future.

I took their Long Range Precision Rifle course earlier today and had a great experience! I have shot long range before but wanted some formal training. Noah was our instructor and he was awesome. He went over all the necessary aspects of long range shooting, and we very quickly got out to the range to start firing. I wanted to get my Kestrel 5700 set up and Noah helped me with some of the more detailed settings and modes on the device. I was able to get out to 1000 very quickly and even managed to hit the 1100 yard target a few times. I would highly recommend this class to anyone interested in learning long range shooting or if you want to get some hands on instruction from guys that have served our country and shot long range for many, many years. The facility was exceptional and a beautiful spot to spend a day shooting rifles and improving your skills.

Was a platinum member here for a year, not sure it was entirely worth the really high cost other than it was close. Great having a 100 yard rifle range but the lighting is sub-par as is the ventilation. Shooting suppressed, the mirage was always awful. And invariably, I'd get caught shooting next to someone with a 10.5" barrel and a muzzle brake which is no fun indoors. Savages. I do have to say the staff was great and the handgun range was decent. The hours suck. Seriously, open before noon. Had a few maintenance issues with the motorized targets that left me hanging more than once. Probably won't be a "member" again. Store prices for firearms is MSRP aka too high and better deals to be had elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I were browsing around and Fred C. came up to us and was very friendly. It was my first time looking and actually holding a gun and he made me feel very comfortable and safe and taught me about certain guns and provided us both with info. Very sweet and knowledgeable! Highly recommend if you need help looking for a particular gun :)

My fiancé came for private lessons as relatively new shooters and took two courses with Noah. He was able to create and deliver lessons that were tailored to us and our development needs, and he was patient, encouraging, and helpful throughout. Great overall experience and would highly recommend.

Very good range but can be pricey most of the time, been charged $100+ for private lessons, but it was definitely worth it, learned a lot. Most of the employees are nice, they really only help people out when you ask however. the 25 yard bays don't have chairs so you don't want to go there to sight rifles in unless you can do it kneeling or standing. Another thing I hate is that they require you to have a bag for rifles, usually I just hold my rifles by the barrel when I enter, but that's just a nitpicky thing.

On holiday visiting from Scotland and wanted to try out a range, the guys here couldn't have been more helpful from the moment I walked in until I had finished , everything was explained brilliantly and the staff were full of knowledge and were very happy to assist with everything. Will definitely be back on our next trip to san antonio
