M.L. "Stub" Gray Shooting Range

A: M.L. "Stub" Gray served on the Woodbury County Conservation Board for twelve years and was an avid supporter of the shooting sports. He worked diligently during his years on the board to promote the creation of a safe, developed public shooting range. His family offered to fund a portion of the shooting range construction costs, and it was dedicated in his memory on September 2, 2002.

A: Daily permits are $10 per person which is paid using the self-registration kiosk onsite. An annual permit may be purchased for $50 which covers an individual or family. Annual permits can be purchased at woodburyparks.org by using the "Permits" drop-down menu and choosing "Annual Shooting Range Permit."

A: Targets are not provided. The only approved targets are paper ones and must be cleaned up when leaving the range. There are trash cans provided throughout the range. Please police brass and targets before leaving. You may leave brass in a pile on a range table to be taken by someone who reloads etc.
