Used to be a great I can say exceptional range. Never any berms that needed any real attention. I was there nearly every weekend and in the week. At most, a few dump trucks of new dirt and compact it and would have been done in less than a month! Not over 5 years of closing all pistol and rifle ranges at ALL RANGES!!!! It really seems someone wanted to give friends and family overpriced contracts to do work that didn't need to be done and pocket lots (majority of it among many people along this process). And tore down a fine range. Just to build back what was there and extended the time period, so more money could be pocketed! They leveled shooting benches and covering that were just a few years old. Yet after 5 to 6 years, they have yet to get this operational? A new wooded area could have been cleared and fully built 10 better ranges in less time where these have not even opened a 25-yard pistol range. Stop the shady business and your blatant hatred of those who use weapons you don't approve of. Shotguns have been up and going this whole time. Even having special contests and prizes for those who come and support the boomer shotgun events. This is being paid for TWRA we all pay into with gun and ammo tax and hunting and fishing license money we all pay into! This is sick they are drawing this out. Also, how happy they are about it. If you call and talk to these people about why they have not got the rifle and pistol ranges open they dont care!. And these workers here need to be put out of working here, seeingnthis is owned by TWRA we all end up paying intonifnwe use our rights. Please check back in a few often! In finding TWRA is in charge of a lot of these decisions, you need to call daily email daily the higher up who are in charge. And let them know you will be spreading this until they are known by name and can't hide what they have been neglecting. Remind them their power can also be taken away. They, too, can be unemployed! If they are doing illegal money actions, they can also be incarcerated! If found monetary inpropriatays in any way, such as shuffling money around into friends pockets, and back to them. Then, these family and friends are all open to criminal cases. Such as their own secret piggy banks. I need all your help to let TWRA need to shut this down 5 to 6 years of bs! This used to be a greatΓÇöexceptionalΓÇörange. I visited nearly every weekend and during the week, and I never saw any serious maintenance issues. At most, a few truckloads of dirt and some compacting could have addressed any concerns in under a month. Instead, all pistol and rifle ranges have been shut down for over five years! It seems like someone handed out overpriced contracts to friends and family for work that didnΓÇÖt need to be doneΓÇöjust an excuse to funnel money into their pockets. They tore down perfectly functional shooting benches and coverings that were only a few years old. Just to rebuild nearly the same thing. All while stretching the project out indefinitely. Meanwhile, shotgun ranges have remained open this whole time, with special contests and giveaways to promote them. ItΓÇÖs clear thereΓÇÖs bias against certain types of firearms and those who use them. If this facility is funded by state or county tax dollars, itΓÇÖs time for accountability. That means petitions, calls, and emailsΓÇödailyΓÇöuntil answers are provided! Make all to TWRA and this range just to let them know what is happening! Until fair treatment is restored. The people responsible for this delay should be held accountable. As they are wasting so much of important money, TWRA could be using doing good in so many other projects! PLEASE CONTACT TWRA and get this range re-opened for all of us with all the weapons and ranges we are used to at this range! Thank you so much, and we can't do any of this without all your help!

Honest review: ItΓÇÖs a nice complex for shooting rifles, shotguns, and pistols, but not for archery. The targets are old/rundown (arrows have passed through) and no yardages are posted. Archery is something you practice everyday before season in the spring/summer, not just the weekend so the $8 day pass and not being open throughout the week isnΓÇÖt really conducive for that. If they had a season or monthly pass option that would allow for that, I would happily pay just to get practice in more frequently.

The staff here is so friendly and knowledgable - they really made me feel welcome. The range itself is also large, spacious and well maintained. I highly recommend this place!

These guys are basically out of business since they lost their insurance to shoot rifle and pistol. It doesn't take over a year to upgrade the range.

So many negative comments...I appreciate that the complex decided to clean up the range as an Industrial Hygienist I understand the affect of lead poisoning. The range hadn't been closed in so long to do this, clean, so why all the complaints? Don't you want to live, IJS. Anyway, the group I bought with me enjoyed it so much we're coming back!! I'd suggest going straight to the website instead of google. Also, the customer service was fabulous! Side note: I am a volunteer with SSO and again the Soldiers had a great time and the cusotmer service was wonderful!

A nice range but make sure you check every avenue in regards to when they are open. Google hours says theyΓÇÖre open. A phone call and the voicemail says theyΓÇÖre open. Drive an hour to be there supposedly shortly after said start time, and the gate is closed. Oh wait, letΓÇÖs post on social media we are closed and no where else. Fix your google holiday hours and voicemail next time so you donΓÇÖt waste peopleΓÇÖs time.

It used to be good It is absolutely ridiculous that it has closed for well over a year. Upgrades, please. Ruined shooting for Montgomery County. Really sad and incredibly poor management and business.

Montgomery County Shooting Complex is the best range I've ever been to and has the friendliest staff too. I haven't been in awhile but I'm sure if they are making changes it's for GOOD reasons, and whats best for the shooters and the range. These guys are 5 star any time I go there!

The Montgomery shooting complex is a nice range that has a lot to offer. However, they decided to close all of their rifle, pistol and tactical bays for "upgrades ". It's the middle of summer, and you're one of the only 2 outdoor ranges in middle tennessee. Waste of 2 hrs driving for a range to be closed when its the middle of summer. If you want to upgrade your bays, upgrade them 1 at a time. Might as well call yourself Montgomery Skeet and shotgun Shooting complex

Looks like a great range 1st time going to it but pistol and rifle ranges are down for something so dont go there until they get that fixed

The Montgomery county shooting complex is a basic shooting range with a lot of skeet shooting and an archery range. However, that is really it. The staff aren't all that impressive and the experience is very bland.

Best place in the area. I drive 45 min just to use their facilities. Clean, friendly, and they are military friendly. You can use your rifles, pistols, and archery. They have a disk place for shotguns also..

The place is great, the people are good, there range is big, and plenty of options. I only have one bad thing to say. The ammo they sell is the worst I have ever fired. I went through 2 box's of 40s&w and it jammed about 80% of the time. And when i used ammo I reloaded the firearm functioned properly. There either using the wrong powder, or not putting enough in each casing. And for that I have to take off 2 stars.

By far the best range IΓÇÖve ever been to. A group of buddies and I showed up for trap shooting and the woman told us that sporting clays would be so much more fun. Believe me when I say it. ItΓÇÖs a great course! We had a blast. Everyone on the range is super cool to, if you want to keep shooting at a booth, no one bothers you or watches you and waits. ItΓÇÖs fun and relaxing. We got to meet the owners before we left and they are the coolest people I have ever met. I highly highly highly recommend this range. The prices are great to! A group of five shooting sporting clays about 300-400 clays was $25 a piece! Had blast. 10/5 stars!

Nice place, lots of individual ranges and a really knowledgeable and helpful staff. I did some reloading testing here and they helped me out a lot even though I was taking a long time. Overall best place to shoot rifles in the area.

Great complex with tons to do. Steel range was awesome minus the manual reset targets. Plenty of space and tables to shoot with multiple parties. 100 and 400yd ranges were well maintained and operated with common sense rules. Will definitely return.

My wife and I went last week for the first time. We are new to long range shooting and were just blown away by the staff. From the moment we arrived we were treated with respect and staff was very helpful. We are going a couple of more times this month and then I think we are going to buy the yearly passes.
