Lateif is an absolute professional! I took his Basic Pistol 1 course and now that I am going to get my CCW he is the only person I trust! His instruction is A+ and his guidance not only helped me qualify but made me a more confident shooter. His extensive knowledge base is absolutely impressive and his willingness to be an expert witness to any one of his students is amazing, to say the least. He provided me with tools and knowledge I could not get anywhere else, and for that, I am forever grateful! I would 100% recommend his classes to anyone!

This class was amazing and enlightening! I left there confident and comfortable with handling my firearm. The trainers were clear and precise with their lessons and give everyone an open forum to ask questions and not feel uncomfortable. I would 100% recommend them to anyone thinking about getting their armed SORA or CCW.

Went through the CCW training with NJ Firearms Academy and it is well worth the investment for your firearm training. Latief or as we call him Chief is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of licensing/training to help you achieve your specific goals. He helps with the applications and answers all questions quickly to speed up/streamline the process to help you achieve your CCW goals. I will continue my to come back to NJ Firearms Academy for all my future trainings/recertifications. As I said earlier a worthwhile investment !!!

Overpriced. They make you feel guilty for not taking and paying for every course they offer. There are other places that will allow you to take the courses you choose without making you take more than what you feel you need.

Go here it you like being taken advantage of. After inquiring by phone, Lateif emailed me that to get my NJ carry, I would need to take the following courses as separate requirements: 1. Basic Pistol (certificate course) 2. Use of Force (certificate course) 3. Holster Presentation 4. Handgun qualification (Live firing at the range and qualification letter) Per his website, if completed separately, it would cost $527. Package deal is $450. His courses are each given separately over different days. Based on my analysis of the NJ state police instructions, the only live training required was the Use of Force, and Handgun Qualification. When I inquired of Lateif if I can do those two only in one day, he responded back without directly answering me, rather by telling me to read the statute with a link to it. I knew he was wrong and indeed he was. Proof? I just completed at the Bullet Hole range located in Belleville, the entire process in one session for $125! They did not try to mislead me into unnecessarily drawn out courses and training. Everything was included to meet the NJ state police requirements, in and out in under 2 hours. Lateif, the NJ government makes it hard enough to access our second amendment rights. Please donΓÇÖt add to this injustice by misleading the public further, and shamelessly doing so for your personal financial benefit.

Came here to fulfill requirements for NJ CCW. Lateif provided a thorough class on the intro to Pistol and Use of force. Lateifs' background makes for a very interesting class, with a lot of grounded information. The range qualification was well done The instructor (Scott) was clear and practical. Overall, a very good experience. I'll be looking at the other offerings here soon.

There is a very nasty putrid smell once when you walk in, it is hard to ignore. Smells like wet carpet, mildew, a dirty wet dog, and sour milk. Overall it is just dirty in there, idk how anyone a can take a course here

This is a great training facility. I personally want to thank them. This is just the beginning, and once you start to gain experience, the work comes easier. The jobs they will train you for are in demand. Been a customer and a friend since 2016/17. I highly recommend NJFA!

New Jersey fireams Academy is the best. Did all my training, qualifications and was able to get my CCP in NJ. Chief Lateif Dickerson and his instructors are top notch. You need training, excellent guidance and direction…NJ Fireams Academy is the place to go. Highly recommend! Knowledge is key.

Mr. Lateif Dickerson is one of the most knowledgeable people IΓÇÖve ever met when it comes to any and everything dealing with firearms and much more. When I saw all of the marksmanship metals and awards he had I was blown away. I loved how his classes were well rounded. We learned about ballistics, the law, safety(which was his top priority), all different types of firearms, ammunition, and just common sense. He had videos and literature to illustrate everything he was teaching, which really helped me to remember everything. He has so many different types of firearms which was really awesome because after he spoke about the different firearms, he was able to show us in person. He was very down to earth, patient, and friendly. When we went to the range to shoot, I was a little nervous, but he made everyone feel comfortable and safe. You could tell he had complete control over the situation. We had a few excited people in our class that could have been potentially a problem, but he handled it with such grace and respect. He immediately made the space safe. I would highly recommend NJ Firearms to everyone! Even if you just want to go learn about firearms and ballistics and never even pick up a firearm itΓÇÖs so interesting and will erase a lot of your pre conceived notions about firearms. I had a few and they were all proven to be wrong.

I took the gun safety class here. The instructors were attentive and thorough. We were able to use a variety of hand guns. Range safety was always the top priority.

Great instructors. Really learned a lot when it comes to armed security guard, use of force, basic pistol. Lateif definitely has a lot of experiences and represents NJ on a national level personally and coaches youth to the standard as well. If there is anyone to learn your rights and what it takes to become armed security I would go here. He will also be a willing expert witness as he does everything with integrity so willing to go to bat which not all instructors can say they will do. IΓÇÖm a military vet and overall IΓÇ¥m glad I did my training at this location as itΓÇÖs changed how I view the law and gun safety. Thanks Dave

Latief and his team were great! The training that my daughter and I took was instrumental in both of us securing our conceal carry permits. They guided us through the whole process and made sure we had met all the requirements necessary to get the permits. I highly recommend NJ Firearms!!

Very knowledgeable! I went here to obtain my armed security docs and this was prior to NJ passing concealed carry and when it passed, the classes I did were the same so all i needed to do was pass qualifications. Lateif and his staff are great! his cost for CCL is very fair compared to several others cost. I referred 3 friends and they now have their CCL's

Total Scam, DO NOT go there, we waited for a long time before they had a slot available. We showed up 30mins early on the day that we finally found a slot for. We had payed in advance and they weren't even AWARE that they had a booking with us on that day at that time. They told us to go somewhere else which we did and paid a $30 taxi for. Then didn't want to refund the full amount as apparently the instructor was there which was a complete LIE. AVOID this place at all costs!

It was an extraordinary experience.
