Questions & Answers

Q: I would like to bring my son, at what age can someone enter the range?

A: This is copied from the Nexus FAQ section of their website: ALL MINORS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AND HAVE WRITTEN CONSENT FROM THE PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN. MINORS MUST SHARE THE LANE WITH THE RESPONSIBLE ADULT.   PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE PARENTAL CONSENT FORM HERE AND BRING WITH A COPY OF THE PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN'S DRIVERS LICENSE.

- Ronald Jacobs (6 years ago)

A: 10 years old.

- Richard Lemoine (6 years ago)

A: I am an NRA certified Chief Range Safety Officer and Instructor with Nexus. The child needs to be at least 10 years old to go onto the range. The parent or legal guardian needs to sign a minor waiver form, and the child needs to be escorted the whole time while in the store and on the range (ie - they cannot go to the bathroom alone). We do teach a Youth Safety Class that is free for all members and the child needs to be of school age to attend with the parent and/or legal guardian, but they cannot participate in the shooting exercise portion of the class unless they are at least 10 years old.

Q: What kind of guns can you rent at Nexus me and my dad are looking for some good ole father son time

A: I recommend to call to check of you havd a preference because when i went there to rent a 1911 they only had the taurus when at the website they also advertised a n ed brown 1911 "big big difference"

- alex clemens (6 years ago)

A: The inventory we keep on the rental wall may vary (depending on availability), but you can rent pistols, rifles, and shotguns, both with and without red dot optics. Calibers on the pistols range from .22LR up to .44 Magnum (we did used to have the .50 AE Desert Eagle). Rifles range from .22LR to .308, and shotguns are 12 gauge. Noted that the long guns are for the paper ranges only. The digital Nexus range is pistol only, using only FMJ ammunition so the screens are not damaged.

- Craig Anderson (6 months ago)

A: Go to their website. They list them all.

- Dan Daniel (7 years ago)

A: There is a lot to choose from... .22 to .45 and everything in between.

- Carlos Bethencourt (7 years ago)

Q: Can visitors without license shoot?

A: Absolutly...you just need to become a member...takes 5 minutes and its a small fee...i think it was $10... But its a lifetime membership I loved this place

- Gregory Laraia (6 years ago)

A: Yes

- Carlos Noguera (6 years ago)

A: Yes, but some form of identification is needed.

- Richard Lemoine (6 years ago)

A: Yeah but you must have a gun with you. If you do not have a gun you can rent one. You can only rent a gun if u come with someone else or already own a gun and have it with you.

- Jjllff (6 years ago)

A: You will need to become a member to go onto the range. The cost is $10 and it is a lifetime membership. You will receive a membership card for Basic Shooter (blue), but can upgrade the membership to Rapid Fire Shooter (green), Operator (red) and Elite Shooter (black) by passing the qualifying tests for each. There are also many perks that come with the membership, such as free range time on your birthday, women get free range time on Mondays, free classes, reward points for every purchase, email notifications of sales and promotions, only having to sign the liability waiver once a year (some ranges require you do this at every visit). As it pertains to requiring a license - you will need a physical and legal form of a government issued ID, but it is not limited to just a license. Also, minors without an ID are able to go onto the range with their parent or legal guardian, with a signed minor waiver form and they need to be at least 10 years old.

Q: Can reloads be used?

A: I would suggest that you call them. Many ranges that are indoor frown on reloaded ammo because of the various skills of safely reloading the ammo and a hot load could have a catastrophic failure in the firearm and hurt others who are also on the range. Along with the wear and tear of the range and the armored back stop and walls of the range. Many ranges also require that you use their ammo on their range. Because of the wear and tear and the liability if something did go wrong.

- A W (5 years ago)

A: Reloads can be used, but only with your own firearm. You will need to advise the posted Range Safety Officer on the range bay to review and inspect the reload ammunition, as ball ammo is only permitted. Fragmenting reload ammo cannot be used, as it can damage the range equipment. If you are renting a firearm, you are required to purchase ammunition from the range counter to avoid potentially incurring a gunsmithing fee, if the rental becomes damaged from the use of your own ammunition.

- Craig Anderson (6 months ago)

Q: When will you open till today? Can I just come by later? I am a tourist.

A: 10pm today. Yes, feel free to stop in. Please note that if you plan on shooting, you must come with a second person, as we do not rent to solitary shooters unless you bring your own gun, have purchased from us previously, or are taking a class or private lesson.

- Bernard Hsiao (7 years ago)

Q: How much does it cost?

A: It depends what you do and what supplies you already own. For example, if you already own a gun, then you don't have to rent one. If you bought a package of targets on Amazon then you don't have to pay for any at the range. Do you already own earmuffs and ear plugs? Because you're going to want both and you're either going to have to buy some there or some there if you don't already own them. Also how much is ammo on that day? Ammo price fluctuates like the stock market. You can easily spend 70 bucks there just by yourself shooting a pack of 50 9 mm. But you can go crazy and blow 500 bucks there emptying round after around of an AR-15. Just depends on how hard you want to go.

- Rob L (2 years ago)

Q: do you rent hand guns to try out?

A: You can rent firearms (pistol, rifle, shotgun) if you have your own firearm with you, or if you have more than one person in your party. Nexus does not rent firearms to a single individual that does not have their own firearm. This is a suicide prevention rule that Nexus adheres to very strictly. Also need to know that if you rent a firearm, you are required to purchase ammunition - you are not permitted to use your own ammunition with the rental firearm. If you do, and the rental becomes damaged, you are responsible for any gunsmithing costs to repair that firearm.

- Craig Anderson (6 months ago)

A: You can rent everything there.. It is an awesome place but be prepared for a wait..

- Christina Seidel (5 years ago)

A: Yes you can

- Jon Perez (5 years ago)

Q: Do you have a Mosin ifle from 2nd World War for shooting range?

A: Thanks for the inquiry, but unfortunately we do not.

- Bernard Hsiao (5 years ago)

A: You can bring your own Mosin Nagant onto the range, but you will need to secure non-steel core ammunition (no Russian "Spam Can" Surplus 7.62x54R). Steel core ammo is not permitted on the range - it damages the bullet traps. Likewise, it is the same with 5.56 green tipped ammo. There are Range Safety Officers present on the range, and you will need to check in with them before you start shooting so they can provide a quick safety briefing and review your ammunition. They will ask what caliber rifles you are shooting. There is a list of ammo that is not permitted, and they will review that with you in that briefing.

- Craig Anderson (6 months ago)

A: Too bad.. My husband and I owned one.. I loved it.. It is a bit heavy but still an awesome piece of weaponry..

- Christina Seidel (5 years ago)

Q: Are you have X95 tavor?

A: I'm not sure they might.. I would call them

- Christina Seidel (5 years ago)

Q: I have friends coming over from UK in June. Can they rent firearm and ammo and shooting range time being from UK? Thanks.

A: How much does it cost for a UK visitor to rent and shoot

- Alex MacDonald (3 years ago)

A: Yes they allow, just need Legal ID or Passport

- Frank Torres (5 years ago)

A: Yes, we've helped thousands of visitors from overseas enjoy shooting. Please just ask them to bring a passport or government issued photo i.d.

I gave this place a second try after not having a great first experience and was signed in my a lovely young lady with glasses. I explained to her my issue on my last visit and she definitely listened and helped make my second experience better. I went into the digital area and then had the pleasure of meeting Lorenzo. Super nice guy, willing to help, knowledgeable and made sure that my time there is enjoyable. Thank you both for your great customer service!

This is without question the best shooting range experience I havre ever had The staff are amiable, knowledgeable and always helpful. The ambiance and design are unequalled and the digital ranges make the shooting experience an adventure. I would particularly life to mention Christian who was our range officer He was always available and very helpful. He enforced the rules without being a bully
