Questions & Answers

Q: I was there yesterday and read on the huge rule sign, " do not use center fire ammo. I asked the gal at the counter what that meant. She tried to explain but realized it didn't make sense. So What's your rule????

A: Hi Gary, I looked into the issue and the sign actually reads "no Centerfire rifles on pistol range". The sign is an artifact from the time when we did not have a sand backstop and rifle shooting was limited to the center bay. The rule is now inapplicable, since we no longer have a designated pistol only bay. However for the sake of clarity I had staff cover up that rule. Thank you for your feedback.

A: Not really sure why that would be a rule, I shoot 9mm parabellum which is a center fire round. I think the concern is the energy of rifle rounds damaging the range. .22LR is fine though.

Q: Hey just wondering if you can shoot shotguns on this range?

Q: Do you all have firearms instructors? I want to get better at shooting pistols and rifles.

A: Yes. Norpoint does offer shooting classes

Q: I have a number of PCP air rifles I'd like to shoot there, up to .510 caliber. Soft lead tip, both pellet and slugs. Would you allow this?

A: That's something you'd have to call and ask them.

Q: Do you guys allow green tip 5.56 ammo on the range?

A: Generally alot of ranges don't allow steel core ammo as for the chance of ricochet, but this range could be different!

Q: What is the range length? Can't find that info anywhere.

A: I think itΓÇÖs 25 yards. 50 yards And 100 yards

Q: is there a waiting period for picking up a gun ordered elsewhere

A: Once they receive your gun they'll call you to schedule the background check. After that you just have to wait until the background check comes back or the mandatory minimum length of time (depending on the type of gun you're buying).

Q: I'm looking into getting my first carry pistol and wanted to test a couple models out, would you be able to help with that?

A: They have a bunch of guns you can rent. With a membership, your lane fee and gun rentals are included.

My first time shooting at this range. I typically shoot at Skagit but was down in Smokey Point area this day and decided to try this place out. I showed up about 10 minutes before they opened and honestly, I thought this place was abandoned.. There was a car on jackstands in the corner of the parking lot. It doesnΓÇÖt look like any landscaping has been done in 10 years. The range itself doesnΓÇÖt seem very well kept very old equipment in poor shape. I probably wonΓÇÖt come back here unless itΓÇÖs my only option. Maybe IΓÇÖm just used to SkagitΓÇÖs nice clean and new facility I donΓÇÖt know. The one guy who was working seemed nice though. I also had about 500 rounds of loaded mags and they made me unload every single one of them. That never happens at Skagit. Maybe people are less trustworthy down here who knows.

I had a brilliant experience here. I visited with an American friend (I'm British) who had a bunch of weapons for me to experience. Staff took my passport and did the relevant legal stuff and were really friendly. Got on lane and probably went through 90 rnds of 556, some 30-30, 38 special, 357, 9mm and .45 and I had a smile on my face the whole time. Cleared the weapons, packed up and I was sad to leave. Thanks Norpoint for an awesome experience at your facility. Edited for spelling

We purchased the family plan and couldn't be happier. The staff is wonderful, knowledgeable, Friendly. They preach Gun safety which is important. I feel it has brought us closer together as a family. We've been going about once a week sometimes twice. I definitely recommend checking them out.

My husband and I took a beginner gun safety course with Royce and had an amazing experience! I had no experience and had never handled a gun before and was very anxious about learning and shooting one. Royce was an excellent teacher - he explained everything thoroughly, was not rushed, and walked us through every step. We left feeling knowledgeable on safety and knowing how to shoot (& to my surprise I had fun!) Highly recommend them!

Great range for shooters of all experience levels. Staff is always friendly and helpful if you have any questions. They have ASI matches the last Saturday of every month, which is a great opportunity to practice practical defensive shooting skills and enjoy some casual competition.

Excellence! We purchased a family membership, and we have a blast here, literally! My wife and son can almost out shoot me now. Our membership includes picking out whatever gun we want to shoot, and I also have free FFL transfers included with it, so stocking up on guns has been fun! No matter what your experience is, the staff is awesome and helps you out. All the smart handling rules make this a very safe environment. Good prices on ammo. I definitely recommend this place.
