North Jersey Gun Club Inc

Q: Are first time visitors to the club given an orientation to the club rules and trap rules by an RSO or similar?
A: This is a safety structured Trap only club.Non member's will be asked upon sign up if they know how the trap game is played. No tactical guns allowed.Semiauto needs a shell catcher. Generally, break open guns only,1 1/8 oz. of 7 1/2" size shot largest permitted ammunition. No buckshot or duckshots allowed. Gun safety is not taught there, you will get thrown out, you will be called out on unsafe handling, and yes the RSO will observe,it's easy to tell.

Q: ItΓÇÖs my first time going clay target shooting. Is there a restriction on the type of shot shells a visitor can use? Can I use buckshot? Or is it birdshot only? Thanks in advance.
A: Birdshot only. no bigger then 7.5 Shot.

Q: If a NY gun owner with a NYPD permit wants to come for trap shooting at a NJ range, is he allowed to do so, so long as the firearm is transported in accordance with NJ law and regs?
A: Hello Stanford Thanks for your interest in our club. Whether or not you have an NYPD permit is irrelevant regarding coming to our club. We are a SHOTGUN only facility. No pistols of rifles can be used at our facility. If you transport your shotgun, UNLOADED and contained in a gun case you should be good to go. Better still, if the shotgun is a break open, over and under or side by side, take the barrel off of the stock and transport it that way. Also, you must supply your own ammo. We do NOT sell ammo or rent or lend shotguns to visitors to our range. Ammo must be shot size 7 1/2,8 or 9 shot. Thanks

A: You do not need to be a member. No rentals or loaners available. Ammo is NOT for sale there. So you must bring your own gun and ammo.
- James Kay (6 years ago)
Q: How much is the membership?
A: I believe it is $150 per year.

The folks here are such great people. You get a sense of camaraderie here. The veterans are always willing to give advice and help you with your shooting game. I was impressed with the place, so much that I went to buy my sporting shotgun and joined the club. As a new shooter, this place will help you advance and be part of a real club. Just follow the rules and you will have a great time here.

Super friendly staff willing to answer any and every question. Really nice open facility. Ample parking and they even have a super friendly dog that'll play fetch with you while you wait! They offer trap, doubles and wobble here. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun place to shoot, beginner to advanced.

Great people! I started knowing nothing about the sport. The folks over there were happy enough to give their time to teach me and my wife on how to shoot, where to go, what to do. Since then, we've been coming to shoot and staff are always ready to help.
