Questions & Answers

Q: Do you offer hand gun classes? My son wants to get his concealed carry permit but I would feel more comfortable if he took some kind of class first

A: We donΓÇÖt. However, occasionally we have instructors that use our range to teach classes. Flathead Valley Community College sometimes offers classes, too.

Could use a refreshing update on some of the equipment that seems like a nice quiet place

Best indoor range in Montana. It is private but it provides both almost 25 yard pistol bays along with a 50 yd rifle Bay and two 100 yard rifle base one of which has multiple cameras so you can shoot at 25 50 75 and 100 and have a camera and screen to confirm your shots. Mostly volunteer run this range has been around forever and most people in the valley wouldn't even know what you were talking about. Membership is extremely cost-effective since it's open 24/7 and unless you randomly come on a day that there's an event planned or scheduled most of the time you get to be here by yourself. There's nothing like setting up downstairs and shooting for 2 to 3 hours to relieve some stress and get into the zone. You do get cell service here as well as downstairs in the basement where all the shooting happens. The area gets plowed during the winter so you're able to get in even with the smallest underwhelming two-wheel drive vehicle. I've been a member for at least 5 years and every year I renew without question. Even the years I didn't live here. Corporate rates are $90 per person and you have to have a minimum of six people but you don't all have to work for the same corporation it could just be a group of dudes. If you want to bring somebody to go shoot with you it will cost them $15 and that's valid for the rest of the calender year. You can also sign up your significant other under your membership at an extremely reduced cost. If somebody accompanies you and pays that $15 and then decides to be a member that $15 goes towards their prorated membership for the rest of the year. I can't recommend more to join this fantastic shooting club.

Nice basic indoor range with 24/7 access. Unheard of in the cities. Only in rural MT! But many of their members need to take a shooting class. Not unsafe, but shoot the electric target equipment off the rails. Get professional training and set a standard for use of the range. Or loose your shooting time to waiting for the range repair vollenteers.
