Been here about 3-4 times now and itΓÇÖs become my preferred range in the area. Hours arenΓÇÖt the greatest and you have to bring all of your own stuff, but itΓÇÖs perfect for my needs and very affordable. Also, everyone IΓÇÖve come across there has been friendly and helpful.

Only place I will shoot my various guns, can't beat $6 ! No way will I spend the $30 at other indoor ranges. Reading some of the bad reviews sounds like personality problems with many of the shooters too, imagine that, a gun person with a an attitude. SMH

Today was a great day at Ommelanden. First time there. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. In the years I have visited ranges in many states and this was probably the most inexpensive outing I ever had. In a couple of hours I spent less than $20. Looking foward to returning soon.

The staff are hit or miss. Some are very friendly while others are very condescending and rude. Youth seems frowned upon there.

Terrible customer service. The older men working there were incredibly condescending and down right rude. They made it where I was unable to enjoy the experience

Diverse offering of services. While only open a few days a week, they offer just about anything you need to hone your shooting and archery skills. Make sure you watch the range safety video before going if itΓÇÖs your first time so you can just take the test to get your card. They have three options for shotgun, archery targets, and a target shooting range. The staff are all professional and pleasant.

IΓÇÖve shot skeet several times here over the years. The staff has been exceptional. They are happy to help and assist new shooters if asked, and will firmly but politely correct safety violations. On the skeet range they prefer barrels up, or if break action, the action open. Be prepared to show your ammo label or describe your self loaded shells. If youΓÇÖre new to the range, you must watch a video and pass a multiple choice test. The video is available online on their website and can be watched ahead of time. YouΓÇÖll be issued a range card on completion. When you first arrive at the site, check in at the admin building on the left and pay for your range time. They will then direct you the the appropriate range. Then check in with your range safety. They do not sell ammo or rent guns. ItΓÇÖs worth noting many of the range safety officers are volunteers, and while not necessary, they do appreciate tips.

The first few times I shot at Ommelanden a year or so ago, I only returned because of the cheap price for range time. The staff (comprised of older gentlemen) were incredibly condescending, made a few rude comments, turned down my request for a specific bay, told me to hurry when clearing my firearms, and just made me all around uncomfortable. I just returned to Ommelanden for the first time in about a year and the staff (this time comprised of a few young guys probably in their twenties) were absolutely wonderful. They greeted me with small talk, answered all my questions, offered to sweep up my brass for me, grabbed sand bags for me, showed genuine interest in what I was shooting, looked to be enjoying their work, and made it clear that their top priorities were safety and a good time for all of the customers. If my next experience is like this last one, I will definitely make Ommelanden my go to place for a quick range trip and increase my star rating. If my experience goes back to what it was like a year ago, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless they are just desperate for a cheap place to zero their optic or get a quick half hour of shooting in.

This shooting range is very convenient. You pay $6 for shooting at the range. You can buy target sheet and tape to the card board. You can bring your own target sheet.

I’ve been to this range a couple of times with my younger brother, and never had an issue. I think all of these negative comments come from folks that didn’t pay attention to the sites rules and regulations 🤷🏽 Is not that hard to use common sense…

Trap and skeet ranges are great avoid pistol and rifle range IΓÇÖve never had a good experience there. Range officers are rude.

This place is not friendly to newcomers and was condescending to my wife. The range safety officer came over to us and said "Does she know how to shoot because I dont feel like fixing the targets today." Not too mention they have a 10rd limit for your magazines.

Fudd range who only allows brass. You have to take some 'safety' course and pay for it, even though you have to pay for the range each time anyways. Elk neck is a MUCH better range, the people there are super great and polite AND it's outdoors.

The reviews made me very nervous about going here. My total experience was 2 hours with a friend and his pistols, then I purchased 2 pistols and spent 2 hours at a friend's pistol club learning to shoot my new pistols. So with that as my total experience, I have gone 3 times to Ommeladen by myself and found the experience extremely positive. I just read the rules an d did the simple safety orientation along with common sense and I had a great experience. Paul especially helped me out with some suggestions and we talked as time permitted before the next group came in for their reservations. I definitely will continue to go back.

As others have mentioned, you're not welcome unless you're one of the "good old boys". Not a place for beginners or families Personnel are Unfriendly, Unhappy and grumpy. Feels like you're walking into place where you're unwanted. The state should look into what's going on there.

Do not go to this place unless you are an expert marksman. Went to the range with my father who are by no means gun experts but have shot our weapons plenty of times. They are not friendly at all to newcomers. We were more than welcomed to knowledge and constructive criticism but the second you do the slightest thing out of order they will give you a nasty attitude for the remainder of your time. Good thing it was inexpensive Bc we just walked out after the old man kept being disrespectful. 1 star is too high.

These people you are complaining about are volunteers. They deal with people handling firearms unsafely often. Keeping a safe range is appreciated by many! Thanks guys and girls!

Absolutely awful experience every single time I have been here. This establishment has the rudest and most callous employees I have ever met in my life. I HIGHLY recommend you go elsewhere. One star is WAY too high of a rating for this place.

The people that work there are very rude and are on yu about everything if your looking to have fun I wouldnΓÇÖt recommend this place they will blow your high in a sec you shoot the wrong way it is cheap to shoot there but the people that work there are terrible and new and younger people need to work there

I have found it very nice easy to use and for $4.00 for 30min. You can't beat it. They so run a safe tight ship Safety is first priority here.
