My husband and I went to this place and absolutely love it, amazing price and Jason and Jim were extremely helpful and professional. The archery section is amazing and I truly enjoyed the visual of practicing on deer 3D targets. Their firearm range was also a very good area for me to practice. It a variety of distances , which Jason was kind enough to assist me in any questions I had. They take safety precautions seriously and direct you on their regulations. Highly recommend this place and we cannot wait to go back . Thank you Jason and Jim for a fantastic experience and having this affordable safe place to practice.

The only bad part for me is it's a bit of a ride from where I live but I enjoy coming here. It's a relaxed environment with plenty of shooting stands, with several our to 200yd. Gets a little busy leading up to gun season but still reasonable. Can't beat the price either! Now if they only allowed 50bmg

Excellent range, facilities were very clean and well kept. The attendants there are great! Not only are they welcoming but they helped me get sighted in. There are also spotting scopes to use while on the range.

New .22LR Bolt and SA shooter-3 rifles at the moment. 2 9-mm pistols. I've been shooting all of them at Ortonville since May, 2024. I've loved every minute of it: the facility, the guests, and most importantly, the friendly and very helpful range staff. The RSOs ensure that everyone stays safe. They are there to help you along if you are new. I've learned most of what I've needed to learn from the RSOs. They are more like teachers than Range Officers. They will fix your malfunction, help align your scope, watch you and give tips for better shooting. Sometimes you don't even have to ask. An RSO will just know that you're having trouble and come over and help you out. All for $4 for a full day.

The range is fine with some amenities. 4 dollar fee. Strictly enforced 6 round limit in magazine and 3 seconds between shots. Very busy on weekends, or when weather is nice, and slow on weekdays. The DNR agents make for an unpleasant environment. But, you can meet friendly firearms enthusiasts.

I almost don't want to leave a good review. Like to keep it a secret. But I don't shoot a lot. I've been to one store range. Overall that's not as good as this. Very nice facility. They have a clay shooting range, 50y, 100y and 200y. You have to bring your own targets, hearing and eye protection. They have spotting Scopes set up and solid concrete benches. They have bags, blocks, carpets and chairs available. Be ready to clean up after yourself. The staff was nice and helpful! It's a state park so you should be ready with a state recreation pass. The worst part are the dirt roads to get out there.

My favorite outdoor range. Other range much closer, but this one is staffed with friendly and helpful range officers. Very well run and safe. A few bonuses is it's only $4, has up to 200 yards, and you can shoot skeet as well as pattern your turkey shotgun.
