Palm Beach County Shooting Sports Park

Q: It only takes a month to build a seriously nice bathroom largw enough to accommodate the public needs.cmon, lets get this done.theres THOUSANDS of people waiting to use this facility
A: We built a 1400 mile AlCan highway in less than a year during WWII.

A: Your father never taught you how to pee in a bottle behind the door of the car? If the police walk up to you tell them youΓÇÖre making apple juice. TheyΓÇÖll understand.
- norval thompson (3 years ago)
A: Call the governors office
- Silvio Plant (5 years ago)
A: Let's Go Brandon.
- Tony Sanso (3 years ago)
A: I believe there's been issues getting the permits for the plumbing or something
- Fattz Mcgee (4 years ago)
Q: How many people agree this is being slow walk because Palm Beach County is Blue County? They must think a nice public gun range will introduce liberals to self defense, 2nd Amendment, and how nice and peaceful gun owners are.
A: That's what happens when you chose the lowest bidder with unqualified workers.you get what you pay for.I have seen whole communities get built quicker
- Milan (5 years ago)
A: Nope , nothing in government gets done quickly, red ,blue, or green with purple polka dots, if it has anything to do with government, it goes slower than a snail uphill in the winter.
- David Hamera (5 years ago)
A: That has been the rumor since the first shovel hit the ground.
- mk84ldb (5 years ago)
Q: Anyone notice none of your questions are being answered by those in charge of this mess? They're not hearing us. They don't care.
A: I have access to my Google page listing and am able to answer questions and reply to reviews... lol
- J W (6 years ago)
A: This is where the traffic is if they cared they would be watching and listening.
- Christopher Kelley (6 years ago)
A: This is a Google maps webpage, "those in charge" of the range have nothing to do with this Google maps listing
- Nick B (6 years ago)
Q: I drove to the park area from Northlake to Prat Whitney road. After 2 miles of unpaved road I decided to turn around at the bend in the road. FYI, the Empire State bldg took 1 year and 24 days to build. Shame on you.
A: I hear you, getting out of hand. Government job probably run over budget and way past expected completion.
- Victor Weirick (6 years ago)
A: Who is responsible for this project I know things are done much slower in Florida but this is beyond ridiculous you are not building the empire state building it's roofs for cover and from what I understand the finest bathrooms in Florida
- Joe Brown (4 years ago)
A: It's just bit up that dirt road heading to Corbett from Seminole. It's on the right hand side through that fence.
- J W (6 years ago)
Q: Complete silence about progress and opening date. Apparently way behind schedule. Where is the government accountability? WeΓÇÖre only the taxpayers, not worthy. County Commission works for us. Need to throw a few of them out.
A: And now it is the fall of 2019 and we are still waiting.
- rick taylor (5 years ago)
A: Complete silence? I get regular email updates from the FWC with progress reports and the same info is publicly available on the FWC website . You're not looking or searching hard enough.
- Nick B (6 years ago)
A: Its an FWC project, not a county project. The expected opening as of 2/12/18 is the Fall of this year.
- Mark L (7 years ago)
A: It is a joint effort between FWC and Palm Beach County. Funding from Feds, State, and PBC. All govt agencies should be accountable.
- B B (6 years ago)
Q: Why is this project still under construction? I hope yall remember when you vote this year.
A: Let's get Trump to build it. We will be shooting next month.
- Ronald Anzivino (5 years ago)
Q: When is this opening? Lots of emails last year saying opening mid year 2017, the late 2017, now no emails from FWC saying what is going on? Please just share the information on hold ups and possible opening day?
A: Typical government cluster F...
- Mark L (7 years ago)
A: They have provided an update on their facebook page but still no opening date.
- Mike Sullivan (5 years ago)
A: No freeking answers
- Ronnie Shand (7 years ago)
Q: Has any government project ever come in under budget and completed ahead of time? No...not unless there is some outrageous bonus to do so... and then if you count the bonus, it's not under budget. It'll probably be 2020 before it opens to the public.
A: David: It'll probably be 2020 before it opens to the public. Boy, are you optimistic! We will all witness the Second Coming before this place opens. Even the rep at FWC basically says "beats me."
- Rooftop Voter (5 years ago)
A: WTF
- MOE K. (moesboy) (5 years ago)
A: Just better to pretend it doesn't exist.
- L. M (6 years ago)
Q: Can you use a shotgun on this range?
A: Sporting clays course is now open
- Justin Schnute (3 years ago)
A: All shotgun ranges are now open.
- Adam McInnes (2 years ago)
Q: Is this place actually open yet?
A: Not as a couple of weeks ago when I went out there. But it looks like it is close to that point. I did see that they have hired a facility manager so I would think that it would be opening up soon. But then again it has been delayed a bunch since it was announced.

RSOΓÇÖs are great and help out best they are allowed. Not biggest fan of some of the rules not allowing rapid fire or silhouette targets, but still a good range overall.

Visited the park today with a friend, and we both enjoyed the staff and facilities. Very well-run office/store and range. The range was fantastic. Two gentlemen, Mike and Lee, helped this first-time shooter tremendously. Really canΓÇÖt thank them enough for making us feel welcome and providing valuable guidance that made our time both safe and fun. Excellent range master. Felt extremely safe and enjoyed the great Florida weather. Well done!

My go to for an outdoor shooting experience, I drive 40 minutes to get there, I mostly donΓÇÖt like indoor shooting ranges, because of the atmosphere and people with attitudes, and I feel a lot more safer here, they are strict, knowledgeable and helpful, and they sell and rent anything you may need at the main building, they only need is a food truck lol

Great place for various shooting sports. Some of the staff seemed to be very new but they were helpful. Sporting clays course is the best IΓÇÖve seen. Range officers on the rifle range were nice and kept things very safe.

Our first time out there. My son and I usually go to Markham Park in Broward county to shoot sporting clays. When I saw this range is now open we made the trek up to check it out. What a beautiful facility and well run. Very unique setup on the sporting plays and while it doesn't go through the woods, very ingenious way of making it a big circle that made it easy to navigate. I will say it was a very windy day in the wide open spaces affected our scores. Looking forward to returning to shoot trap, rifle ranges, pistol ranges and more sporting clays. All in all a great experience.

The range officer felt the need to touch my daughter without asking permission to reset her stance. Making her feel extremely uncomfortable. Always ask permission to touch someone. We were also yelled at several times to stay behind the line however, if the range officer is having a conversation with people blocking the exit. How else is one to move through the area properly. This man was his own worst enemy.

I am not a gun enthusiast but wanted to learn sporting clay shooting. The Palm Beach County Shooting Sports Park is a great place to learn. They provide lessons and you can rent the shot guns, etc. Everyone is very friendly and supportive. When walking around, we often talk to more experienced shooters who provide pointers who provide pointers. Beautiful automated 15-station sporting clays course.

Great staff and a safe place to shoot pistol and rifle. I do however always feel unsafe around the shotgun shooters they walk around and point the shotguns at people when opening the actions and checking if they are empty. Zero muzzle awareness from the staff and shooters in the shotgun areas.

Very nice facility and the bathrooms are clean and close by. Be sure to wear waterproof shoes or boots at the ranges if you plan on moving your targets, the puddles can be deep!
