Trap season has ensured we have spent loads of Saturday mornings here this fall. Every interaction with staff has been great. They sell a variety of merchandise for shooting in the log cabin club house (where the clean restrooms are located.) we have shot on the skeet/trap and pistol ranges, both were good experiences.

As usual, I had a great time this afternoon at the range. Of course, being a retired person, I'm able to go during the weekdays; so the ranges are not busy. To be certain the staff always is careful about being sure of the safety of all personnel on the range, and that is appreciated. I would describe the facilities at the ranges as quite adequate and very clean and well kept. The staff is always polite and very professional. The modest fee I spend on a family annual membership is well worth the investment. The benefits are plenty, so much so even a retired fella like myself doesn't have enough time to take advantage of all of them.

What an awesome experience at Palmetto State Armory Outdoor shooting range!!! My eyes have been getting worse as I age so I bought red dots for my AR and pistol. I went on a Friday morning and was the first one on the range. John the pistol and rifle range safety official took the time to help me sight in the red dot for the AR and answer any stupid questions B I had. He was kind, attentive and provided positive feedback during the process. He definitely saved me time and ammo in the process. Then we went to the pistol range and within 10 shots had me dialed in and plinking bullseyes on command. He made the entire experience fun and stress free. I highly recommend if you need assistance in sighting in your red dots or are just wanting to learn more about your platforms that John is your man.

I thought it was a various weapon range but after further investigation it seems to be a skeet range, I'll have too find another range 😪

Awesome grounds and facilities. Visited for Jefferson Davis academy shotgun practice but plans to come for return with private group.

I really enjoyed my experience here. I came on a Friday morning and it was peaceful. Since it wasn't busy I ended up in a 5 stand with just myself and John, the range officer. Big shout out to him! I was there sighting in a new optic and it was awesome having him there calling shots and helping along the way. I definitely plan to come back.

Deserve a 0 star !!!! Instructor's are rude and very un clear about rules While asking questions they want to turn it into a argument and get In your face ! We were shooting skis and we know the rules are 2 shells in your fire arm at a time so we load two shells and sit a 3rd shell on the shooting rail , shoot our 2 shells then load our 3rd shell in and shoot the 3rd target.. they have AB&C donΓÇÖt make any since to only shoot 2 shells per station and when we told the guy our guns only hold 2 shells at a time that were loading our 3rd in after we shoot the 2 shells and trying to get a clear understanding if that is okay or not he gets in our face yelling ΓÇ£ONLY TWO SHELLSΓÇ¥ we were assuming he thought we was loading 3 shells in at a time and we were not our guns only hold 2 shells !! We try to fallow rules and donΓÇÖt want any issues but a grown man in our face turning red and yelling is not acceptable and heΓÇÖs glad we looked past it and just left !! We come to this place a good bit and the company I work for host a lot of meetings and partyΓÇÖs here and we are no longer going to do so !!

Went at 12:00 on a Sunday. We were lucky to get the last rifle bay. The range instructor was very knowledgeable and volunteered to help me sight in my rifle. After a while we were the only people on the range. I suggest you get there as they open. 10/10 will go back

Call ahead to arrange a time on rifle range to be told no arrangement needed, drive over half hour to get here only to be told the range is full. Brunette at the counter doesn't enjoy her job at all. There were four trucks in the parking lot, in which one group was packing up. If you didn't want to do your job and leave early, you could've just said that.

My older Brother and I just purchased ARs for the first time and were looking for a place to go shoot them, and zero the optics etc.. I had shot ARs in the past but my older Brother had not. We have both shot handguns at a few indoor ranges for years, but we just wanted to get out in the open for the rifles. .... We drove down to to this site Yesterday Morning (6/13/20), and asked some questions that were answered by the couple behind the desk. They gave us the general rundown of the range, the rules and told us when we got to the Rifle and Handgun range to talk to "John". We did and John was very helpful in helping us get set up, and also helped my older brother with a couple of issues he had operating the AR for the first time. We spent about 35-40 minutes on the rifle range, then moved over to the pistol range to fire the handguns before calling it a day and heading back to Columbia. The entire staff was VERY friendly and helpful and John went above an beyond his normal duties to help us get acclimated to the range and assisted with sighting in and adjusting the optics. .... We had an excellent time, and will definitely go back again. The only negative about the day was that it was very hot and extremely humid. Something out of the control of the staff.
