I've had nothing buy a positive experience at Parmas shooting range. Reading some of these reviews people don't understand there's a reason why the employees are stern with the rules of the range. Safety should ALWAYS be number one especially dealing with firearms. Alot of times there are people who have no experience with firearms there. The safety rules ensure we all come home happy and in one piece. I've had nothing but a positive experience with the staff. They are friendly and are there to help. Avoid weekend if possible.

Staff has always been kind to me, not sure why people have had problems in other reviews. Are they strict? Yes. But many people come in there with no safety training, even after watching the video. It is life or death with guns so I understand. With that being said, their speakers are not loud enough, and they have multiple times messed up themselves. The color of the lights of when to fire and when not to fire are confusing for many people, and IΓÇÖve seen the staff mix them up to making it very dangerous. The 3 second shot rule is their rule and although I understand it, I hate it. I donΓÇÖt know if thatΓÇÖs someone with little experience can gumbo fire a revolver backwards or something, but in that case you might as well only allow one bullet to be loaded. I give 3 stars because I think they are a good quality range and good crew. But I suggest you switch things up for a better experience for the shooters. They should also always keep a staff member or two on the line because IΓÇÖm sick of seeing people who dropped a ton of money on guns with no experience flagging everyone next to them with a round in. I donΓÇÖt feel very safe a lot of times and itΓÇÖs more on the people than the staff. But the staff is so far away IΓÇÖll get yelled at for a two shots under 3 seconds but I just watched some dude with his handgun i a holster a ar in his hands point his gun at the family next door.

Great place to SAFELY practice shooting almost any weapon that is smaller than 50 cal. I have used it 6 times to tune my shotgun in. Found that my shotgun magazines need new springs to be used safely, today 11-17-24.

This range has 25 stalls, an archery range, a meeting hall, safety and knowledge classes of many varieties, and several trails. Loads of fun here.

The nicest range I've ever used. Check in was easy with the kiosk system. The range was super clean and well laid out. Easy to understand rules and range operated smoothly and safely. I definitely will be going back.

Awesome place to practice shooting or zeroing in your rifle. The staff are so kind and patient with newcomers… I never see them yelling at folks who forget to flip their range flag or close their booth. They’ll offer excellent advice if you ask and they know what they’re talking about. Fair pricing and never have to wait!

I like the place..$4.00 per booth per hour. You can shoot short or long range. Pistols, or shotguns on the short range. Rifles on the long range. So the shortfall is that it is an outdoor range, but on the other hand you get to keep your brass. Other ranges won't let you. True they have their own range rules, but it is a good range @ a great price. 👍👍 11/22/23, the last time I visited there there was a big change. To check in now you use one of their kiosks located on the outside of the building. I liked the change. They had a video running on the kiosk to explain the range rules. Helpful if you have not been to the range in awhile.

This range is unsafe. RSOs' visibility is in a separate building behind the firing line. Poor visibility and communication led to RSOs calling the range hot and a shooter discharged his firearm when another shooter was still returning from his target.

If it wasn’t for how nice the actual range and facilities were this range couldn’t even be a 1 star review. As many others have mentioned in reviews…Outside of a place to zero your firearm, the rules here are so strict there isn’t any other reasonable or logical use of this place. The staff are outright rude and ridiculously unprofessional.

If you ever hear someone talk about a Fudd range, this is exactly what they are talking about. They hate anything not Blued and Walnut and you can pretty much only sight in and shoot for groups. It's pretty easy to get yelled at for rapid fire with an SA cap and ball revolver, and don't worry, they will yell.

I be tearing up the targets at this range. I dont know why but i be shootin like Simo Häyhä when i go to this range!

In short, I would rate this as poor range if you're looking to do some serious shooting. The only advantages is has are that it's in a nice outdoor setting, and it has a longer range that is good for sighting in rifles. It's a lovely setting to shoot at. In the middle of the woods, covered booths to shoot from, and seating for non-shooters. It would be a nice place to sight in a rifle or teach a new person how to shoot. But if I'm looking to get some serious shooting in, I would go elsewhere. There is a LOT of downtime at this range. There are no zip line systems at this range, so in order to change out your targets, you must walk down range. This requires that once every 10 minutes or so, there must be a 5-10 minute cease fire, which is a big process of setting all your weapons up for storage, flipping some signs, roping your area off, then sitting and waiting for that process to finish. Your shooting will be interrupted often. They also don't allow any rapid fire. When I go to the range, it's to practice shooting. This means I want to practice shooting in the same manner which I plan to shoot out in the real world, self defense type shooting. So I do practice slow fire to work on technique, but I also practice rapid fire. I can't remember exactly, but their "safety video" says to take 2 or 3 seconds in between shots. Even if I'm just doing somewhat quick firing, and not just emptying a magazine as fast as possible, that still wouldn't be allowed here. So in short, this range is a great place to take your kids or someone who is brand new to shooting, or if you want to sight in a new rifle, but I would never go here by myself to do any serious shooting.

Employee was extremely rude and verbally abusive. Also while there, I was harassed by a couple of suspicious guys who asked if I would sell them guns and if I knew where to buy full auto parts and suppressors. They kept asking me about politics too. I just wanted to sight in my rifles. Nice facility, but the consistently rude employees make the experience terrible. Not recommended at all.

Having to wait three seconds between shots in a world of semi auto firearms it absurd. Might as well have us firing derringer pistols. Not a great place to practice any type of self defense shooting.

Safe range with nice, people who aren't nosy. Just a nice place to shoot & inexpensive as all heck! Best part is everyone was welcoming about new to range mistakes like proper colors but real deal on actual safety measures.
