Being new to the world of firearms and home defense can be pretty intimidating to the uninitiated. If you don't know a whole lot about guns, you may have a hard time figuring out how to proceed. The fine folks at Pelcher's certainly made shopping for my first gun very comfortable and asked any questions I had without making me feel dumb for asking them, and they did it l with a smile. That's about all you can ask for in a purchasing experience. I will definitely be returning to Pelcher's for any and all of my purchases and range uses.

Read a couple of reviews about race related issues. My experience was positive and I did not feel unwanted or ostracized in anyway. I think a lot of it has to do with how you present yourself. This is my 3rd firearm purchase from PelcherΓÇÖs. I have been present at times when certain individuals come in with a couple of buddies and donΓÇÖt seem to have any particular interest. That would raise an eyebrow for anyone. My latest purchase went very smoothly. The only thing I would mention is, based on who you get as a salesperson determines their knowledge base.

I read a comment or two about race, I would have to disagree with those comments. They make everyone feel welcome. There is an older gentleman there who is very helpful and knowledgeable, wonderful guy to talk to. I have to agree that the prices are a little high compared to eagle sports club but Eagle is too far a drive so I go to Pelchers. The few times I've used the range I was the only one there.... It was big to me because there was no one else there at that particular time and that was fine with me. I'm sure they were watching me on camera because when I came out the older gentleman gave me a few pointers on how to be a better shooter which I was most appreciative of. Don't play the race card, they were just as helpful to me as anyone else. I can usually pick up on something like that but I didn't. They have a huge selection on that wall which they had no problem letting me touch as many as I wanted.

I recently enrolled in their conceal and carry classes. John was my instructor and he was phenomenal! John simplified all the legal stuff for everyone to understand. The materials John covered were very informative. Additionally, on the last day of class John provided a tech so you can get finger printed. John also provided a sales representative for USCCA that discussed the importance of being protected. You had the option to enroll into their membership program. The membership not only provides you with additional training but they also help you in the event you are put in a position where you have to use your firearm. When we did our range practice Linda was one of my instructors. Linda corrected me on some of the things I was doing wrong and I appreciated it. Linda was very patient and as a result I passed! Overall the whole experience was 10/10! I highly recommend Pelchers

Old school blue collar firearm shop, not bad. Small range area for my liking, can get a tad crowded quickly.

Soooo, Pelcher’s in Lansing is a bit of a mixed bag. Yes, the store is a tad antiquated and underwhelming, the range, tiny (under 10 lanes), very no frills…that said, they offer a STELLAR CCL course, in which instructor John delves deeply into all facets of the law, and offers expert tips and tricks of the trade. Highlight, USCCA membership opportunity, which included choosing a defense lawyer to have at the ready ( I’m looking at you, McDermott). A very palatable 16 hr. Course. Back to in-store stuff, staff is okay…sometimes friendly, sometimes, not so much. Place is well-stocked for a little store, and they made picking up a revolver purchased elsewhere a breeze. I’d probably rate a 4.3 or so, overall.

This store had an auction on gunbroker which was labeled penny auction with no reserve. I was the high bidder until they ended the auction and said reserve not meant. When I emailed them I got a snarky reply that sig had found out they were auctioning off a newly released gun below manufacture’s asking price and would take their sig license if they didn’t take it down “so… sorry?” One, it’s not my fault you don’t understand your own relationship with a manufacturer well enough. Two, I don’t want you to lose your sig license but I don’t need snarky replies when I’m not the one in the wrong. Three, honor your word or don’t do business. Mainly just there was no reason for the attitude when it’s not my fault. Don’t trust their auctions on gunbroker.

Stopped in last month Jan 1st to get some ammo, the two guys there were cool and held good conversation. I'm happy I stopped by, I've heard plenty of negative things about Pelchers, however my experience was great. I'll definitely be back to use the range. Do you all allow firing of 450 Bushmaster on the range?

The new guy is very fidgety and afraid of black people and also told me I couldnΓÇÖt use my phone in the store even when I was using Apple Pay he is afraid of black men with dreads The other 2 white guys are pretty chill everytime I go and also always seem to make good conversation And so is the younger white guy But as for the middle age one he is too stereotypical to be working at a gun store

I had a firearm shipped here a while back no issues. I would just utilize this place for that. Just seen a couple reviews about ammo prices. Seems like they dont care to be competitive they just double what you find online for 115 grain 9mm.
