7 month edit: Range is too popular for its own good. You may get lucky here or there but people just keep pouring in at all hours. Great unmanned outdoor range, $50 annual pass is a bargain! Exactly what I was looking for. Wasn't busy at all on a Saturday evening, only a few people there. Bring your own target stands and be sure to use the restroom before you come here. Overall a great resource. I think they should have some kind of brass collection bucket here, the Forest Service could make decent money selling used brass. they just need some kind of collection device for the brass. Most folks will clean up their brass, but we dont need it. I would be willing to pay more if they'd do some improvements (Brass collection, chicken wire/wood target post at 100 yards) and add something like an outhouse type toilet like the Moss Knob range has in Cullowhee NC. There is room for lots of improvement here, but its a great range and resource. Edit after 7 months: Im starting to get kind of irritated with this range as its become a little too popular as of late, I came on a stormy rainy November day to try and have the place to myself and people just would not stop showing up, the whole place filled up which I have never ever seen on a day with heavy rain. Even when leaving at 5PM with it getting quite dark with the overcast weather and november day light savings people were still showing up as I was leaving. Looking into buying private property because you really just cant focus when the place is full. It just sucks. Shells flying all over you, people needing to go down range every 10 mins. Just sucks. This place is amazing if you can get it to yourself but that has happened only 1 time for me in the maybe 20 times I have been here. As soon as the last person leaves another pulls up within 5 mins.

A hidden gem of a shopping range. Generally itΓÇÖs you and maybe two other people. The only down fall is that people are too lazy to pickup after themselves but itΓÇÖs wonderful place to practice shooting

Seems like a nice place but since their programmers can't figure out how to creates a site that works trying to pay to use the facilities is wasted effort. Maybe spend some of the money collected on a payment site that works.

I heard about this place and set out from Irmo to find it. You take the exit at Cross Anchor before the 385 Greenville split. Entrance looks like a private drive but if the gate is open you're in luck! Went for first time on Saturday 7/11/20. Stayed 3hrs either by myself or with 1 or 2 other people. 5-6 tables. Nothing fancy but cheap for $5. Bring your own targets! CLEAN UP YOUR MESS PLEASE! Enjoy.

This was the cleanest SC DNR / US Forest Service range I have ever been to. No one else was there the day I went. It was quite and peaceful. They are charging $5 per day, now, but well worth it.

Our favorite place to go shoot. Quiet, not usually busy at all, close enough to Greenville to be accessible but far enough out of the way that it doesn't draw a huge crowd.
